Abstract

The opportunities for developing grapes on an agribusiness and agroindustry scale in Indonesia are very high but have not been widely implemented. The aim of this research is to analyze the obstacles to the development of the current downstream grape supply chain. To develop the downstream grape supply chain, the first step is to identify the sub-elements that are part of the affected sector elements, the obstacles that occur and the programs needed. Identification of sub elements is carried out using ISM. Based on the results of the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis, the results showed that the obstacles to the downstreaming of the wine supply chain were that it had not paid attention to farmers who were the most important actors, had not designed a quality assurance system which was a program that should have been designed from the start of downstream planning and didn’t pay attention to the availability of materials. standard which is the main obstacle that has not been implemented so far. These three sub-elements can be integrated for institutional design to make downstream activities easier.

Abstract

Fused Deposition Modeling or FDM is a 3D printing technology that is commonly used in manufacturing processes based on Additive Manufacturing Technology. One of the materials that can be used on FDM machines is thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). One measure of the quality of printed results is the machine's accuracy in producing workpieces that have the smallest possible dimensional error. So this research aims to obtain the printing parameters that have the most influence on print results and find out the optimal combination of printing process parameters on the machine to produce the smallest dimensional error for TPU material. The design of experiment method used is 2k factorial design using 4 process parameters, 2 levels and 3 responses. The parameters used are nozzle temperature, print speed, fill density, and enclosure box. The optimization results obtained an optimal combination of printing process parameters to produce the smallest dimensional error, namely nozzle temperature of 210°C, print speed of 30 mm/s, fill density of 100%, and not using an enclosure box.

Abstract

The increasing trend in import-export activities demands optimal service, especially in customs clearance. Exporters and importers who cannot manage these processes can delegate authority to Customs Clearance and Forwarding Service Providers (PPJK). Company data reveals that the number of Sea Freight service users as exporters from January to December 2022 is higher than the number of service users employing PPJK. The research aims to analyze the quality of PPJK services in Freight Forwarding companies to provide services aligned with customer expectations. This study employs questionnaires and the Service Quality (Servqual) method to assess customer satisfaction, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to gauge company service quality, and Potential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV) to prioritize improvements. The Servqual results indicate that 33 attributes show negative gap values, indicating customer dissatisfaction, while 5 attributes exhibit positive ones. The IPA matrix results depict 7 attributes in quadrant I, representing low service quality performance but high customer expectations. The PGCV analysis prioritizes improvement in attributes U3, T1, U1, RS3, A4, CC1, and S3. The recommended improvements for the company include organizing customer gatherings, developing a web-based application, enhancing communication, providing problem-solving assistance, increasing staffing, delivering explanations in simple language, and strengthening monitoring processes.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology is massive worldwide, racing to create solutions as a form of digital supply chain movement, massive use of information technology is also being carried out in the logistics business world which is part of supply chain activities, requiring accurate and fast information is a very important area to guarantee delivery of goods on time and on target. One important aspect of the logistics process is effective warehouse management. One of the main challenges in effective warehouse management is the process of receiving goods in the warehouse which still causes errors such as writing errors, inaccurate recording of the quantity, type and name of goods received and removed from the warehouse which takes quite a long time to process. There has been a lot of research carried out on data capturing activities with the application of OCR but not much has been found that focuses on managing printed and handwritten physical documents in the warehouse area, and preparation of data bases on websites connected to systematic OCR technology, and there is no analysis of technology investment. OCR regarding cost efficiency. Therefore, to help overcome this problem, this research carried out the design and implementation of a warehouse system based on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology with the name WareOCR and analyzed it from an investment perspective using the ROI method. From the research results obtained using the OCR creation model using the CNN method, the accuracy of the WareOCR system on test data is 93%, Return on Investment is calculated at 60.38%, in the NPV calculation in year 3 the figure is IDR 112,911,033 where NPV > 0 for the project implementing WareOCR it is acceptable that this investment provides added value of 493% of the total project cost. This research  also  has   research   limitations  in  the  form of  invoice  formats  which  need  to  be standardized so they can be read with the WareOCR tool and the advantages of this research are that they can shorten the working time of the data entry warehouse in inputting information into the database.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the influence of packaging material, packaging appearance, packaging shape, and information on the packaging on consumer purchasing interest in Asa Cipto Roso MSMEs, Siger Keripik MSMEs, and Lampung Chips MSMEs. The method applied in this research is the PLS-SEM method with the help of software in the form of SmartPLS 3.0. Research data was collected from 120 respondents who were banana chips consumers at Asa Cipto Roso MSMEs, Siger Keripik MSMEs, and Lampung Chips MSMEs which were distributed via an online Google form. The findings from this research illustrate that packaging elements which include packaging material, packaging appearance, packaging shape, and information on the packaging can trigger consumer buying interest in Asa Cipto Roso MSMEs, Siger Keripik MSMEs, and Lampung Chips MSMEs. The findings from this research can provide implications for designing banana chip packaging that suits consumer tastes so that it can trigger consumer buying interest in Asa Cipto Roso MSMEs, Siger Keripik MSMEs, and Lampung Chips MSMEs.

Abstract

In the development of the industrial revolution 4.0, in carrying out production at small, medium, and large levels, there has been a fairly large and significant increase. Factors that influence the goal of successful production are not only about investment, capital, suppliers, machines, skills, and distributors but also one that must be observed is the layout planning and placement of factory facilities. PT. Eworx Indonesia is a company engaged in the processing industry, especially manufacturing in the metal processing sector. PT. Eworx Indonesia intends to relocate the production floor in order to increase production productivity. In this study, the proposed layout design on the new production floor was carried out using the SLP, Blocplan, and FLAP methods. The design is done by collecting direct observation data and interviews with the operator on duty. It was found that the initial layout had problems with operator movement that was not optimal and the placement of several machines and facilities that did not pay attention to material flow resulting in a slowdown in production time. Therefore, in order to get the best layout, a comparison is made on the results of the three alternative layouts with the smallest displacement distance comparison so that the production process will run more optimally. The best proposed layout is the systematic layout planning (SLP) method with the smallest material displacement distance of 147.4 meters and material handling costs Rp. 223,958 per day. Flexsim simulations show this layout can increase production output by 15%-34%.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the Indonesian economy, particularly in the transportation and logistics sector. This sector has experienced fluctuations in financial performance triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, after overcoming this challenging period, the Indonesian economy has shown positive trends. A leading logistics company, PT Logistik ABC, located in Jakarta, has a non-exclusive working agreement with a herbal medicine manufacturing company, PT XYZ. PT XYZ provides the required quantity of goods, but PT Logistik ABC is not obligated to fulfill the entire demand. The issue lies with PT Logistik ABC, as they transport goods from Jakarta to Semarang, but the fleet condition from Semarang to Jakarta is empty. With this situation, PT Logistik ABC aims for a higher gross profit by maximizing the available resources. Therefore, this study employs an optimization approach to optimize gross profit using non-linear programming. The optimal gross profit obtained is Rp150,893,000.00, representing 62% increase from the previous amount of Rp93,461,000.00.

Abstract

The Cianjur Diskoperindagin recorded that 2,715 new MSMEs had emerged. However, Cianjur micro businesses experienced a significant decline in sales, making it difficult to design and implement marketing strategies. Therefore, micro businesses are required to produce quality, competitive products that have high competitiveness and to continue to innovate in terms of product development and sales. This research seeks to analyze the effectiveness of micro-enterprise knowledge sharing through business innovation. Research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 140 micro business actors in Cianjur. Data and conceptual models were tested using the PLS-SEM method with the help of SmartPLS4 software. The research results show that the tacit knowledge sharing variable is explained by the variables trust, organizational structure and employee attitudes with a variance value of (10%). Meanwhile, the explicit knowledge sharing variable can be explained by the variables trust, organizational culture, employee attitudes and motivation methods with a variance of (20%). The quality of innovation in this research can be explained by explicit and tacit knowledge sharing with a variance value (12%). This is different from the speed of innovation which can only be explained by tacit knowledge sharing with a variance of (11%). This research also shows that the operational and financial performance of micro businesses in Cianjur can only be explained by the speed of innovation variable.

Abstract

Physical stores and online stores are one way that companies can continue to survive amidst competition by increasing profits from these two channels. Clothing is one of the textile commodities that is widely traded through physical stores and also online stores. This research identifies the factors that have the most significant influence on consumer preferences in choosing physical stores or online stores. Determining the factors involved adopts the results of previously conducted research. Based on existing research, there are several factors, namely Financial Risk (FR), Performance Risk (PerR), Psychological Risk (PsyR), Perceived Risk (PR), Environment Quality (EQ), Service Quality (SQ), Internet Experience (IE ), and Switching Intention (SI). From these variables, 8 hypotheses were formed. All hypotheses from the model were processed using Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 3 software, it was found that H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H7 were accepted. H6 and H8 are rejected.

Abstract

This research builds upon the author's earlier work on the design of a cassava pulling tool. The aim is to develop a non-mechanical or minimally-powered tool that addresses farmer needs. The tool design incorporates Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to ensure user satisfaction. QFD is a method that integrates customer desires into technical requirements during the design phase, prior to production. Data analysis revealed key user desires: lightweight materials, affordability, the ability to pull multiple cassava stems simultaneously, durability, safety, and additional functionalities. House of Quality (HOQ) analysis identified the most crucial attribute (weight of importance: 30%) as the ability to pull multiple stems at once. This finding served as the primary basis for prototype development and technical characteristic definition. Subsequent prototype testing successfully uprooted cassava plants, demonstrating the tool's capability of pulling multiple stems in a single operation.
