Abstract

On the part of the oil filtering process is the most important stage in the processing of palm kernel at PT. SSS. This is because all production processes are focused on the stages of the process, where the filtered clean oil is directly flowed into the clean oil reservoir until it is ready to be exported to companies that cooperate with PT. SSS. From initial observations, it is known that there is a use of longer time than it should be where the total time for all activities in the oil filtration unit that exceeds the company's standard time is 83.2 minutes and then there are several waiting activities. On the basis of this, this research aims to find out in more detail what wastes are contained in the oil filtering unit and their causes.. This is the first step for continuous improvement for the company. This research method is a descriptive research using Process Activity Mapping (PAM) as a tool to find out all the activities that take place during the stages of the oil filtering process, then classify these activities based on the type of waste. Furthermore, a causal diagram (fishbone diagram) is made to analyze the causes of waste. From the results of the study identified three types of waste, namely over process (73.1%), waiting (20.1%) and motion (6.8%), with the dominant factor of humans being undisciplined in their work as the cause.

Abstract

The PKM Team at Tulang Bawang University Lampung together with partners from Umbul Helau tourism developed the concept of urban farming with aquaponic technology where hydroponic plant cultivation with integrated fish cultivation in the form of budikdamber (budidaya ikan dalam ember) or fish cultivation in buckets. This is proper to do in this tourism because the concept is an educational park. This activity is carried out with the aim of introducing the concept of urban farming that can educate and benefit the wider community. The method used goes through stages starting from determining the time of activities and division of tasks, providing materials, preparing land, preparing cultivation of damber media, distributing seeds, controlling and evaluating. The results that have been obtained are very encouraging where the kangkung plant has been harvested and with packaging can be sold and has economic value, while catfish is growing and will be harvested in the near future. The form of education that has been given to the community in this case Elementary School (SD), both students and teachers are introduced to the concept of urban farming which attracts their interest and enthusiasm because there is new knowledge gained.

Abstract

The largest source of waste is generated from households at 38.3%. One of the methods of recycling organic waste by recycling is by fermentation, for example by producing eco-enzyme which is a solution of complex organic substances produced from the fermentation process of a mixture of organic waste, molasses and water. In this research, the purpose of using eco-enzyme is as a cleaning fluid for both sinks and crusty floors with the aim of seeing the effectiveness of eco-enzyme work with the aim of being a substitute for cleaning fluids sold on the market and including measuring the savings that can be made from this substitution in PT. XX, using experimental research methods. The results of research and observations show that eco-enzyme cleaning fluid is able to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli (E.coli) bacteria as evidenced by a decrease in the number of bacteria (without eco-enzyme: 4.25 × 102 CFU/cm2; with eco-enzyme: 3.7 × 101 CFU/cm2) through swab tests and laboratory tests. Visual observations show significant results in making crusty floors clean. The savings that occur during 1 month by using eco-enzyme cleaning fluids as substitutes for cleaners sold in the market are IDR. 938,500/month.

Abstract

Research to design an organic waste chopping machine with a capacity of 20 kg, which can be used by small industries and households, aims to facilitate the processing of organic waste with a capacity that is not large to support the activities of processing fruit and vegetable waste into eco-enzyme or compost which is an alternative organic waste processing solutions. During this process, what is done is to cut fruit and vegetable waste into small pieces which will be processed into eco-enzyme using a kitchen knife which is definitely not effective, takes a long time and the results are not uniform. The method used in designing this tool is the French method. This research succeeded in designing an organic waste chopping machine with a capacity of 20 kg, with a motor power of 0.18 kw / 180 watts. The combination of tool capacity and low watt motor makes mobility easier because it is easy to move and saves electricity consumption or costs. This research is a solution for processing organic waste both in households and in communities that are eco-enzyme and compost activists with real implementation in supporting more effective and efficient handling of organic waste.

Abstract

UD. KI is an industry that produces Buis Benton type precast concrete. The materials that make up concrete blocks are cement, water, and coarse and fine aggregates. The supply of coarse aggregate is obtained from Gunung Sugih river sand, where availability is greatly influenced by flood conditions during the rainy season where there is a slight shortage which causes an increase in order prices. If the company wants to take steps to secure stock of sand raw materials to anticipate increases in order costs and ensure production continuity, this will disrupt the balance of production capital costs and the availability of storage space. Therefore, it is necessary to measure raw material inventories so that companies can take safety measures to anticipate increases in order costs and ensure production continuity. Analysis of the supply of coarse aggregate raw materials in concrete buis production at UD. KI uses the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. By implementing the EOQ method, ordering value can be saved by 214.04 tonnes in 2021 and 173.28 tonnes in 2022, and there has been a significant reduction in the order frequency level from 12 times to 2 times per year, with a safety stock of 61.74 tons. Abstract

The development of an innovative corn fertilizer tool as an improvement on an existing concept that has been widely socialized in the farming community aims to design a fertilizer spreader tool that suits farmers' needs, with a simple technological concept, a working principle that is easy to operate and a product form that is easy to carry, and can be commercialized and is a development of previous concepts as the aim of the research carried out. Using the French method because it is considered easier to meet data needs. The design results obtained are an improvement on the research concept of previous researchers which improved the capacity where the old fertilizer tool was only able to accommodate approximately 2 Kg of fertilizer, with the new design it can accommodate 15 Kg of fertilizer, the tip of the lever is designed to be pointed so that the fertilizer enters the surface more easily. soil, while tool rods made from stainless steel can provide strength to the tool, they do not rust easily if they come into contact with water or fertilizer (chemicals) so they last a long time. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengenai ruangojol.com yang merupakan situs blog yang berisi konten-konten tentang ojek online, kurir, e-wallet, otomotif, dan investasi. Dari perkembangannya, jumlah viewer terus bertambah dan trend statistiknya dapat dikatakan stabil dengan jumlah sepuluh ribu sampai lima belas ribu viewer perharinya. Untuk mengetahui strategi apa yang dipakai oleh ruangojol.com dalam menarik minat viewer dan mempertahankannya, menjadi tujuan studi ini dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis framing Zhongdan Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki (1993) dalam menganalisis lebih jauh mengenai tata visual, pesan dan jenis konten apa saja, dan faktor-faktor yang menarik minat viewer dari blogruangojol.com. Hasil dari penelitian diketahui bahwa tata visual pada blog ruangojol.com memiliki tampilan sederhana, warna tidak mencolok dan menu navigasi yang mudah dipahami, metode yang digunakan berpengaruh dalam perkembangan blog ini dalam menambah viewer yaitu Paid Traffic, forum grup sosial media Facebook, dan Search Engine Optimization (SEO),dan faktor-faktor yang menarik minat viewer ruangojol.com didapatkan dari penulisan artikel yang bagus dan bermanfaat; gaya bahasa penulisan yang santai dan mudah dipahami; tampilan blog yang responsif, sederhana, ada menu navigasi, dapat diakses melalui handphone; dan didukung oleh kelengkapan gambar atau ilustrasi sebagai strategi menarik minat viewer terhadap blog ruangojol.com.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan petani lansia dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka melalui pemanfaatan lahan tidur di perkotaan dengan budidaya cabai. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Service Learning, yaitu mengintegrasikan pembelajaran di bangku kuliah dengan kebutuhan masyarakat di dunia nyata, yang merupakan kolaborasi mahasiswa Teknik Industri Universitas Tulang Bawang Lampung bersama dosen dan mitra petani lansia berlokasi di Jalan Pulau Damar Kota Bandar Lampung. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi observasi  di  lapangan melalui wawancara untuk mengetahui kebutuhan mitra petani, pemberian bibit cabai dan pupuk organik cair, penanaman bibit cabai di lahan tidur, pemantauan perkembangan tanaman, dan evaluasi kegiatan untuk keberlanjutan. Hasil kegiatan memberikan hal positif dimana jumlah 420 bibit cabai berhasil tumbuh dan berbuah dengan tingkat keberhasilan 99%, mampu memberikan peluang peningkatan pendapatan, kemandirian dan membantu memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari petani lansia, sekaligus membantu meningkatkan estetika dan kualitas lingkungan, meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di wilayah perkotaan, meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan kemandirian petani lansia. Kegiatan-kegiatan serupa perlu  mendapatkan dukungan yang tepat dari pemerintah dan masyarakat untuk keberlanjutannya.

Abstract

Organic waste is still a problem that needs to be resolved. Piles of organic waste can cause the emergence of methane gas (CH4), giving rise to an unpleasant odor and can even potentially cause disease. The aim of this community service is to provide understanding, knowledge and skills to the community regarding how to utilize household organic waste in the form of fruit and vegetable waste into eco-enzymes by fermentation. eco-enzyme is a multi-purpose liquid that can be used to purify waste water, as a household cleaning product, as a detergent, as a pest control product, to remove pesticide residues, and also as an organic fertilizer for plants. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) where the service team is integrated into the community and works with the community to increase the knowledge and abilities of the people who are members of the Women Farming Group (KWT) in understanding and changing the community to become better, more empowered and knowledgeable. The results of this activity were able to increase the understanding, knowledge and skills of Women Farmer Groups in 4 Districts of Bandar Lampung city both conceptually and practically, and have the awareness not to just throw away organic waste, but to use it because it not only protects the environment but also provides benefits to the community. This activity was considered successful and sustainable for future programs.

Abstract

MSME Kerupuk 32 wants to create a competitive advantage so that it can compete to maintain the sustainability of its business by having halal certification and labels issued by BPJPH as the aim of the community service team providing assistance to help carry out the registration process. One of the things that can increase consumer confidence and is a value of excellence is by having recognition of the halalness of cracker products from the government through halal certificates and labels, besides that, because in Indonesia the majority of the population is Muslim, the government must guarantee the halalness of every product circulating in society which is a requirement. The main thing for Muslim consumers to consume food, in this case crackers. This mentoring activity goes through several stages, namely: preparation stage with interviews and observations with partners, document collection stage, account creation stage, data filling stage, data sending stage, validation process stage, inspection stage, halal certificate issuance stage, and certificate submission stage to partners. This mentoring activity ran smoothly and according to targets, and its success was marked by the issuance of a halal certificate which was handed over to partners. This activity can be continued to help MSMEs increase the value of their products in the eyes of consumers or the public so that it is hoped that they can increase sales and income for MSMEs in developing their businesses.
