Abstract

Based on the theory of Lakoff and Coates, this study aims to identify the types of language features based on female and male genders. In addition, this study also aims to describe the functions of language features based on female and male gender spoken by speakers at the Mata Najwa Exclusive in 2024. The research methods used are descriptive qualitative methods. The object of this research includes variables of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that are identified as female language features and male language features. The results of the study showed that there were 1,397 speeches containing female and male language features. A total of 924 speeches were women's language features. Then, as many as 473 of them are speeches that are included in the features of male language. In addition, it was also found that each feature of female and male language has its own function according to the context of the speech.

Abstract

This research aims to identify a reflection of sympathy contained in the object, namely the novel Narasi 2021, using qualitative descriptive methods and a structuralism approach. The source of this research is a fiction book, namely an inspirational novel by Tenderlova which is a bilogy of her first novel, namely "Literature Writing". The author will review the form of reflection of sympathy contained in the novel Narasi 2021 by Tenderlova. Abstract

In online media news content, especially in political headlines. Affixes can help readers understand the information they get from the news content. The formulation of this research problem is: how are the types of affixes used in rakyatbengkulu.com online media news in political headlines in 2024. The objectives of this research are: to describe the types and processes of using affixation in rakyatbengkulu.com online media news in political headlines in 2024, starting from September 04, 2024 to November 28, 2024. Based on the results of the research, the author found three types of affix use from four types of use, among others: 150 Prefixes, 33 suffixes and 242 confixes from 425 data found while infixes were not found in the news presented by rakyatbengkulu.com online media news in 2024 political headlines consisting of 30 political news that have been researched by the author.

Abstract

This study examines register patterns in buyers' negative reviews on e-commerce platforms using a sociopragmatic and interactional linguistics approach. It identifies linguistic structures and communication strategies in expressing dissatisfaction, analyzing data through Halliday’s (1978) register components: field, tenor, and mode. Findings indicate that negative reviews predominantly feature informal and expressive language, often breaching politeness norms. Platform characteristics and buyer-seller dynamics further shape linguistic variation. These insights inform businesses and e-commerce platforms on digital communication strategies and effective responses to negative reviews.

Abstract

Setiap lirik dalam lagu pasti mempunyai tujuan tertentu yang ingin disampaikan kepada pendengarnya. Oleh karena itu, setiap lirik lagu akan disampaikan dengan bahasa yang menarik dan penuh dengan makna tersirat di dalamnya. Penulisan lirik lagu tidak akan terlepas dari majas yang digunakan penyair baik itu mencakup pilihan kata atau diksinya, struktur kalimatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan majas yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu album Markers and Such karya Sal Priadi. Pengkajian terhadap objek penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data, yaitu dengan membaca lirik lagu yang akan dianalisis, memahami makna lirik lagu tersebut, kemudian menemukan kata-kata yang mengandung majas dalam lirik lagu tersebut dan mendeskripsikannya. Dari hasil majas yang ditemukan berikut terdapat total 106 majas perbandingan, yang terdiri dari: 50 data majas personifikasi, 48 data majas metafora, 8 data majas simile. Selain itu, terdapat 62 data pada majas pertentangan, yang terdiri dari: 20 data litotes, 42 data hiperbola. Selanjutnya, terdapat 21 data pada majas sindiran, dengan rincian: 17 data ironi, 4 data sarkasme. Terakhir, ditemukan 9 data pada majas penegasan dan 9 data aliterasi. Kata kunci : Majas, Lirik Lagu

Abstract

The problem in this researchis the Moral and Motivational Messages contained in the characters of the novel Janji Untuk Ayah by Nuranala. The purpose of this research, namely: To get a precise description, detailed and in-depth description of the categories of moral and motivational messages contained in the characters of the novel Janji Untuk Ayah by Nurunala. Abstract

This research analyzes the syntactic and morphological aspects of the Indonesian Proclamation Text to understand its structure and meaning. Syntax focuses on sentence structure and the relationships between sentence elements, while morphology studies word formation and how words change to convey meaning. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method to examine the linguistic patterns in the proclamation text, comparing them with other formal texts such as academic and news texts. The syntactic analysis reveals that the proclamation text follows a clear and structured pattern, ensuring its message is conveyed effectively. The first sentence employs a subject-verb-object (SVO) structure, making the declaration direct and authoritative. Meanwhile, the second sentence uses a passive construction, emphasizing the collective responsibility in the transition of power. Morphological analysis shows the use of affixation, such as prefixes and suffixes, which strengthen the formal and official nature of the text. The findings highlight the effectiveness of the text in delivering a strong and unambiguous message, By understanding the linguistic structures within the proclamation, this study provides insights into the role of language in historical and national identity. The research underscores the importance of proper syntactic and morphological structures in official documents to ensure clarity and impact.
