Abstract

This article explored how digital tafsir competencies in Islamic Religious Education Program Of Banten State Islamic University. This research was conducted in June-August 2023. Respondents were PAI students in V semester who had received Tafsir Tarbawi and 'Ulumul Quran Subject as many as 121 students. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative. Researchers tried to descriptively described how digital tafsir literacy abilities are. The data collection process was carried out by distributing questions (gform) related to questions regarding digital tafsir. From the results of data analysis, it was found that as many as 65% of PAI Study Program students had sufficient knowledge in utilizing digital tafsir literature to find reference sources, however they still used various online media sites to search for quoting the Quran. Next, as many as 20% of students do not have sufficient skills to utilize digital tafsir. Lastly, as many as 15% of students do not have the skills to look for reference sources, their quota is still used for entertaint affecting their daily behavior.

Abstract

This research examines marriage in front of a corpse in the Temanggung community, known as nikah sandung makam. The main question asked is how the practice of nikah sandung makam is viewed from the anthropological perspective of Islamic law. Through a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods, this study found that nikah sandung makam has been a culture of the Temanggung community for a long time, this practice is responded to customarily by the community as a form of response to a sense of loss and respect for parents who died. The results show that sandung makam marriages illustrate the diverse relationship between legal and cultural pluralism, and create a new space of thought in the field of Islamic legal anthropology. The legal anthropology approach emphasizes that a culture should not be judged based on whether it violates religious teachings or not, this has no effect as long as there are still many people who practice and believe in the goodness of the tradition. Meanwhile, from the perspective of Islamic law, this practice is considered valid because the pillars and conditions of marriage regulated in Islamic law have been fulfilled.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to delve deeper into the philosophy of western science via the lens of Islamic education, examining numerous obstacles and their significance. According to literature research, the philosophy of western science is a thought process that includes objects and their scope. Epistemology is the study of how to get knowledge through revelation, reason, senses, and experience in a holistic manner. Axiology emphasizes the value and purpose of science for societal benefit and the creation of a monotheistic civilization. This foundation makes Islamic education relevant in the formation of intellectually and spiritually balanced individuals. The article concludes with evidence that the philosophy of science not only addresses ontological, epistemological, methodological, logical, ethical, and aesthetic issues. But also plays a role as a tool to get closer to Allah and become a source of blessings for the life of mankind.

Abstract

Learning in pesantren with conventional methods is often faced with challenges in the learning process. The application of innovative learning methods is needed so that the learning process becomes more interesting and effective for students. This study aims to explore the implementation of the singing method in fiqh learning at Miftahul Jannah An-Nuriyyah Islamic Boarding School. The research approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students in the pesantren. The results showed that the singing method was able to increase santri involvement in the learning process and help them get the material more easily and fun. This method also creates a dynamic learning atmosphere and makes it easier for santri to memorize and understand fiqh concepts. The main challenge in applying this method is the creativity for teachers in composing fiqh material into the form of song lyrics so that it is easier to understand and in accordance with the core of the material. The conclusion of this study is that the singing method can be an effective alternative in learning fiqh in pesantren, especially in improving students' understanding and memory of the material taught.

Abstract

Madurese ulama are role models or local leaders for the Madurese community so they have a big influence on the development of religious scholarship in Madura, especially in the field of Hadith. Not many Indonesian hadith scholars have visited the Madura region, so the Madurese people are quite far from teaching the hadith of the Prophet SAW. This is what then caused Madurese scholars to write hadith books and distribute them to all corners of Madura. This hadith book contains musalsal hadiths that Madurese scholars obtained from their teachers through several conditions in the process of narrating musalsal hadiths. The existence of Madurese ulama and their hadith books created the hadiths of the Prophet SAW. well maintained in Madurese society.  This research aims to see the role of Madurese ulama in preserving the Musalsal hadith and the extent to which the Musalsal hadith book has become a reference in the Madura region. The research method used in this research is qualitative with the type of library research. In addition, this research uses R.G.A.'s knowledge transmission theory. Dolby explains the process of transferring and conveying knowledge from one party to another, whether using an object as a result or not. The results of this research provide evidence that the role of Madurese ulama is very important in the process of preserving the Musalsal hadith and the extent to which the Musalsal hadith book has become a reference for knowledge in Madura.

Abstract

The world was shocked by the emergence of COVID-19, which resulted in the paralysis of the world economy, especially in the Islamic banking sector, which resulted in financial performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the financial performance of Islamic commercial banks through the Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP) and CAMEL methods using 11 indicators, namely Sharia Investment Ratio, Sharia Income Ratio, Profit Sharing Ratio, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Net Profit Margin, CAR, KAP, MAN, BOPO, and LDR. This study took two bank samples, namely Bank Syariah Indonesia and Bank Muamalat. The method used is a quantitative approach by looking at the annual financial statements of each bank. The results showed that the Sharia Conformity, Profitability, and CAMEL approach methods partially and simultaneously affected the financial performance of Islamic commercial banks during the covid-19 pandemic outbreak and post-pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the understanding of traders in the Sengkang central market Wajo Regency, towards the practice of local wisdom Mula Balu as a sales booster in sharia economic analysis. The results of this empirical qualitative study are: 1) Traders' understanding of the concept of Mula Balu as something positive and not contrary to religion because it is not obtained from shamanic practices but is obtained from the process of learning sharia, tarekat, hakikat and ma'rifatullah and is understood as a manifestation of prayer or Assennung-sennungeng ri decenge (hope for goodness). 2) The practice is very diverse, some use mantras such as Arase Kursia, folded (Rekko ota) and stored normally. 3) Sharia economic analysis of the use of Mula Balu as a sales booster in the Sengkang central market, Wajo Regency shows three results of the analysis.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) refers to acts of violence committed by family members against other family members, which can be physical, sexual, psychological or spiritual. In some cases, the perpetrator of domestic violence is not only the husband, but also the wife. This study aims to analyze the form of domestic violence, the perspective of Islamic criminal law on domestic violence, and the settlement of domestic violence cases committed by wives against husbands according to the Marabahan District Court Decision Number 80/Pid.Sus/2016/PN.Mrh. This research uses normative research methods. The results showed that domestic violence is regulated in Law No. 23 of 2004 and Article 351 of the Criminal Code. In Islamic criminal law, the disobedient wife (nusyuz) is classified as jarimah qisas-diyat. In the verdict, the perpetrator was punished with ta'zir, although the punishment was considered too light to provide a sense of justice for the victim.

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of the authenticity of hadith in Islamic education and the integration of its values into the religious education curriculum. The focus is on the necessity of understanding the authenticity of hadith to ensure that the teachings are sound and relevant in shaping students' character. The research uses a qualitative approach with literature review to analyze the integration of hadith into the curriculum. The main findings show that applying hadith in the teaching of morals, discipline, and honesty has a positive impact on students' character, although there are challenges in selecting authentic hadith and addressing the lack of hadith knowledge among educators. The study emphasizes that mastering hadith knowledge and selecting relevant hadith are crucial in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the court decision in the DS case concerning fraud who have disseminated false information, resulting in losses for thousands of people from the perspective of Islamic criminal law. The research employs a normative juridical method, referencing books, journals, and legal rulings. Money laundering offenses are regulated by Law No. 8 of 2010 to protect the national financial system. The Bandung High Court Decision No. 1/Pid.sus/2023/PT Bdg sentenced DS to eight years of imprisonment, an increase from the first-instance court's, and mandated restitution for the victims. Under Islamic criminal law, the defendant's actions can be analyzed through the concepts of gharar (uncertainty) and khilda (fraud), with ta'zir punishments imposed at the discretion of the judge. This case underscores the importance of fair law enforcement, the protection of society, and alignment with Islamic legal norms in addressing harmful actions.
