Background: The tofu industry is growing rapidly in Indonesia. The agricultural and livestock sectors are relatively high and resource owned by Indonesia. One thing that needs to be confirmed in the supply of biogas energy can be utilized tofu waste and cow dung to meet sustainable need as alternative fuels. Methods: This research was carried out in May - July 2021. The process of making installation compositions and anaerobic slimming at the Biology Laboratory, Nusa Nipa Indonesia University. Results: The results of the biogas volume show the potential of tofu waste and cow dung on biogas fires from the second week to the eighth week, the blue and red flames of all treatments showed that the blue flame color was more dominant. Conclusion: Biogas volume (ml) from a mixture of talcum waste and cow dung produced methane gas which was quite high as see from the results of the biogas flame test.

Background: Jikumerasa village has the main object of marine and beach tourism in Buru Regency. This activity has the potential to have a negative impact on community structure and distribution patterns of Bivalves, Gastropods and Echinoidea. Methods: The study was carried out in August 2022 - September 2022. Sampling used a transect measuring 1 x 1 m (1 m2). Physical and chemical parameters of the waters were measured temperature, pH and salinity. Results: There were 16 types of gastropods, 9 types of Bivalves and 3 types of Echinoidea found at the study site. Low species density and diversity. High uniformity and no dominant type. A total of 17 species had random distribution and 7 species clustered. Water temperature 29.30C - 29.60C, pH 6.3 - 6.6 and Salinity 250/00 - 300/00. Conclusion: Beach tourism in Jikumerasa Village has an impact on community structure and distribution patterns of Bivalves, Gastropods and Echinoidea. This can be seen from the few species found, low density and diversity, high uniformity, mostly random distribution patterns of species, and conditions of pH and salinity of the waters below the quality standard.

Background: Awareness of the environmental impact of waste continues to grow and effective waste management is currently a key target in environmental policies around the world, because of how the waste that is managed directly affects the local environment and global quality.Methods: The research was conducted in the State of Suli, RT 048 Dusun Wainusalaut. The type of research used is descriptive.Results: The results showed that indicators 1 to 3 with 10 questions received very good responses and appreciation through strongly agree and agree to answers.Conclusion: The community considers that eco-bricks are a method of reducing plastic waste that is very practical and easy and very good to make. Apart from being a creative activity,eco-bricks are also very useful and economical if practiced properly.

Background: Giant clam or bia garu is a kind of bivalves in the coral ecosystems. This biota is used as the raw material for processing bakasang by the people of the Babar Islands in Maluku. Preservatives used in the processing of bakasang are depend on the habits of the people. This study aims to determine the number and characteristics of coliform bacteria in clams bakasang based on the type of preservative. Methods:The presumptive test used the Most Probably Number (MPN) method on Lactose broth followed by characterization on Eosin Methylene Blue Agar (EMBA) media. Result: The number of coliform bacteria in clams bakasang using palmyra vinegar was 20 MPN/g while bakasang using salt and vinegar was 150 MPN/g. The macroscopic characterization of coliform bacteria in both types of clams bakasang were metallic green and pink with varying edges and elevations. In bakasang using palmyra vinegar were also found yellow and white coliform bacteria. The Microscopic characterization of coliform bacteria in clams bakasang was Gram negative rods with varied cell arrangement. Conclusion: It is suspected that these bacteria belong to the genera Citrobacter, Enterobacter, and Escherichia.

Background: Technological developments must be in line with lecture methods that make students havethe ability to study independently, learn to be more interesting, interactive, and easy to do, such as theintegration of the Resistasi lecture method and Field Trip learning methods which provide the widestopportunity for students to find and have the concept or material being studied. The purpose of this researchis to apply the recitation lecture method (assignment) and also the Field Trip method (tourist visits to certainplaces).Methods: This study uses a descriptive type by applying the Resistasi and Field Trip methods to theconcept or material of Biosystematics and Evaluation involving 31 students in the sixth semester of theBiology Education Study Program. Assessment is carried out on student learning outcomes and creativethinking is carried out by considering (1) the ability of students to carry out the integration of the Resistanceand Field Trip methods (2) The ability of students to answer critical thinking questions (3) The ability ofstudents to solve biosystematic and evolutionary knowledge questions (4 ) Assessment of skills andattitudes during the integration of the Resistance Method and Field Trip. To determine the effect of theintegration of the Resistasi and Field Trip methods, using the SPSS 20 program of Anova.Results: The Anova test on the integration of resistasi and field trip methods has an effect on mastery ofknowledge and critical thinking skills in biosystematics and evolution courses where the significant value is0.000, and the standard knowledge of coofecients beta is 0.802.Conclusion: the application of the integration course of the Resistasis and Field Trip methods onbiosystematics and evolutionary course materials for students of the biology education study programshowed a very good score.

Tanaman gayam merupakan bagian dari family Leguminosae yang memiliki senyawa fenol pada semua bagian organ tumbuhan (akar, batang, daun, buah dan biji). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan fenol daun gayam yang tumbuh pada daerah Ema dan Aer Low dengan ketinggian tempat yang berbeda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil analisis kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa daun gayam pada Negeri Ema dan Airlouw sama-sama memiliki senyawa fenol. Sementara itu analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa total kadar fenol pada Negeri Ema adalah 790,9001 mg/GAE/g sedangkan Negeri Airlouw adalah 602,7997 mg/GAE/g. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi suatu tempat maka memberi efek terhadap produksi fenol sebagai metabolit sekunder bagi tumbuhan

Background: Augmented Reality has great potential in education, and more amazingly, it opensup new fields and creates different kinds of learning.Methods: The research method used is descriptive qualitative through survey methods. Theinstrument used is a questionnaire.Results: Based on the results of a questionnaire survey of 6 question indicators, an average of81.82% was obtained in the agree category and 18.185% respondents who answered disagreed.Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that there is a positive response from students.

Background: Student learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 22 Ambon on the subject of additive biology learning have not yet fully reached the KKM because the learning process only prioritizes the completeness of the material and the learning strategies applied by the teacher still tend to use the lecture method. The Hypothetical-Deductive Learning Cycles (HDLC) learning model provides opportunities for students to construct their own knowledge and act like scientists. This study aims to determine the improvement of science-biology learning outcomes for junior high school students using the hypothetical-deductive learning cycles model of additive material in class VIII SMP Negeri 22 Ambon. Methods: The type of research used is descriptive research which is used to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes. Results: The results of the study illustrate that the learning outcomes of Biology Sciences for junior high school students before the application of the hypothetical - deductive learning cycles learning model were under the KKM, but after the application of the hypothetical - deductive learning cycles model, the SMP students' learning outcomes of Biology turned out to be increased and fulfilled the KKM. Conclusion: Based on the results of research and discussions that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the final score (NA) obtained by each student shows that using the hypothetical-deductive learning cycles model can help students improve learning outcomes.

Salah satu komponen penting dalam proses pembelajaran adalah penilaian atau asesmen. Penilaian yang dilakukan dengan tepat akan meningkatkan efektifitas proses pembelajaran. Informasi penilaian tidak selamanya diperoleh dari guru, namun dapat melibatkan peserta didik didalamnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan tipe one group pretes and posttest design yang bertujuan untuk melihat higher order thinking skill peserta didik sebeleum dan setelah perlakuan dengan assessment for learning (AfL)-self assessment dalam pembelajaran materi gerak lurus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu sekolah menengah atas di kota Ambon dengan melibatkan 35 orang pada kelas X. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen soal tes uraian higher order thinking skill dan hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan uji gain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa higher order thinking skill peserta didik setelah pembelajaran terdapat peningkatan dan berada pada kategori rendah. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa AfL-self assessment mampu memperbaiki proses namun perlu ditunjang dengan strategi mengajar yang tepat.

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease due to insulin deficiency from pancreatic cells so that blood sugar increases (hyperglycemia) and leads to complications. Bandotan plant (Ageratum Conyzoides L) is an alternative medicine that is safe, affordable and effective because it contains many phytochemicals, especially accumulated in the leaves such as alkaloids and flavonoid compounds that act as antioxidants to ward off free radicals and regenerate pancreatic cells. Methods: This research is a laboratory experiment to determine the antidiabetic activity test of bandotan leaf extract with doses of 75 mg/kg BW, 100 mg/kg BW and 150 mg/kg BW through blood sugar level tests and histopathological observations of Langerhans islet cells in induced diabetic mice. Alloxan monohydrate as much as 150 mg/kg BW intraperitoneally divided into 4 groups, namely 1 control group and 3 treatment groups according to dose. Results: The results showed bandotan leaf extract doses of 75 mg/kg BW, 100 mg/kg BW and 150 mg/kg BW reduced blood sugar levels by an average of 54 mg/dL and there was an improvement in damage as well as regeneration in islet cells. Langernas as the dose increases. With the best results there is a dose of 150 mg/kg BW. Conclusion: It is concluded that bandotan leaf extract can reduce blood sugar levels and repair damage to cells of the islets of Langerhans with the best results at a dose of 150 mg/kg BW, which is 78 mg/kg BW.
