Abstract

To improve the safety, security and comfort of pedestrians when crossing the street, the government ofPrabumulih City has built a Pedestrian Crossing Bridge located at the Traditional- Modern Market inPrabumulih City. Pedestrian crossing bridges are pedestrian bridges that are located across the road orrailroad tracks and are only intended for pedestrians who want to cross the highway or railroad tracks. The pedestrian crossing bridge is a crossing facility that is needed by the community to pass through trafficlanes and is very necessary in order to reduce the possibility of accidents and for the safety of pedestrianswho pass through it. The results of the survey on the volume of pedestrians crossing, the highest volume ofpedestrians using pedestrian crossing bridges was 186 people and 586 people not using pedestrian crossingbridges. Based on the results of the calculation of the effectiveness of the pedestrian crossing bridge, it wasfound that it was 26.14%, so the effectiveness of the pedestrian crossing bridge was included in theineffective category. For the feasibility of the Pedestrian Crossing Bridge based on the component of thefeasibility standard, it has met the eligibility standard. Meanwhile, the characteristics of pedestriancrossings that were most responded to by respondents who used pedestrian crossing bridges were that theyfelt the glass design on the bridge disturbed the view when crossing the bridge with a percentage of 76%,while for respondents who crossed not using pedestrian crossing bridges but through the road medianbecause faster than using a pedestrian bridge by 76.8%.

Abstract

Kenten Laut is a rural locality in the Talang Kelapa District that consists largely of a swamp. Residentsrely heavily on the swamp's corrosive water for mundane concrete mixing. Researchers in this study usedswamp water and alum in the concrete recipe. Swamp water and alum were utilized as the supplementarycomponents, with the alum content of the solution varying between 2% and 4% by weight of cement. Thetest object is a cube with the dimensions (15, 15, and 15) cm and there are fifty of them.Compressive strength testing in swamp water revealed findings of 152.69 kg/cm2 for 14-day-old concreteand 251.93 kg/cm2 for 28-day-old concrete. The compressive strength of 14-day-old swamp water concretevaried between 156.16 kg/cm2 and 149.78 kg/cm2 depending on the percentage of alum added to the mix.Compressive strength values for 28-day-old concrete made with swamp water with 2%, 4%, or 6% alumare 256.19 kg/cm2, 253.97 kg/cm2, and 245.61 kg/cm2, respectively. These numbers are lower than whatwas anticipated for the K-300. Compressive strength in typical concrete drops by 20.6% after 28 days ofage, but only 14.7% after 14 days.

Abstract

PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang is a government-owned enterprise engaged in water treatment services, where water that is not dirty is processed and converted into clean water that is ready and suitable forhuman consumption. The increase in annual population has an impact on the increasing growth in thenumber of customers who need clean water. However, the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) or WaterTreatment Plant (IPA) still does not provide full services to all city environments, one of which is at thePalembang City Form WTP. The source of WTP processing comes from the Borang River and intake 1 ilir. The customer population is projected to increase to 22,434 in 2023 based on Geometric analysis with acalculation of customer needs of 218.04 liters/second. The pump used at WTP Borang has a capacity of200 liters / second and uses 2 pumps, so WTP Borang can still meet customer needs. The amount of waterdischarge required during maximum days and peak hours is 239.84 liters / second and 327.06 liters /second respectively. With this situation, it is predicted that the community's clean water needs in 2023 canbe fulfilled by WTP Borang.

Abstract

eographically, Indonesia is a maritime country that has around seventeen thousand islands stretchingfrom Sabang to Merauke so that Indonesia has been named the largest archipelagic country in the world. From the economic sector, Indonesia is also a country with a fairly stable level of economic growth. Thisbackground shows that there are a lot of economic activities in Indonesia. Economic activity in Indonesianwaters is supported by carrying out many maritime infrastructure developments, one of which is theconstruction of a container terminal at Tanjung Priok port. During the construction phase, there is adredging process around Jakarta Bay and it is feared that it will disrupt the stability of the sand bund dueto the dredging process. This study provides an illustration of how the distance between the sand bund anddredging and the slope of the slope greatly affect the safety factor. Slope stability analysis study using finiteelement program. The results of the study show that there are several areas that are not recommended fordredging because they do not reach a minimum slope safety factor of 1.5.

Abstract

Soil Retaining Wall is one of the constructions used to hold the soil or provide stability to the soil that has different heights. Soil retaining wall function to support the soil as well prevent it from the danger of landslides, so it does not experience landslides both due to the load of rainwater, the weight of the soil itself, or as a result of the load acting on it. Based on the way to achieve stability, the soil retaining wall can be classified into several types, namely gravity wall, cantilever wall, counterfort wall, buttress wall. In this research, we plan gravity-type soil retaining wall. Planning this gravity-type soil retaining wall is considered necessary because in today's competitive era, in addition to accuracy and accuracy in planning, speed in calculating is also needed. Therefore, using this program is expected to increase competitiveness for planners, especially planning related to soil retaining walls.

Abstract

Bamboo is widely used for various forms of building construction, such as houses, as roofs, columns and foundations. Apart from that, the remainder of its use will become waste. One of the building materials that is often used is paving blocks as an alternative ground surface cover that can be used for road pavement, parking lots, pedestrians, parks, etc. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of adding bamboo fiber with variation of 1%, 3%, and 5% on the compressive strength of paving blocks. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Primary data consists of material testing results and paving block compressive strength. Research was conducted at the Structures and Materials Laboratory, Departement of Civil and Mining Engineering, Ketapang State Polytechnic. From the results of the compressive strength testing of paving blocks that have been carried out, the highest average value of compressive strength of paving blocks with a variation of 1% is 320.01 kg/cm2 which corresponds to the quality concrete C used for home garage pavement, pedestrian circulation, and parking lot.
