Abstract

The relocation of the Indonesian new capital city to Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) has had an impact on rapid urban growth and development in the buffer area of Balikpapan City. The growth referred to is increasing area development, improving infrastructure, and increasing welfare. However, on the other hand, the transfer of IKN Nusantara could further increase the impact of global warming due to the high contribution of CO₂ emissions, especially those produced by buildings. Grand City Housing was chosen as the study location based on the green concept that has been implemented, the land area, and the availability of a master plan and environmental documents. The specific aim is to convey the green concept to Grand City Housing with the Greenship Neighborhood Assessment rating tool. This research method uses quantitative descriptive, namely that the results of the assessment of the research object are evaluated in the form of scores using the Greenship Neighborhood Assessment Version 1.0 rating tool. The results obtained were based on an assessment using Greenship Neighborhood version 1.0. The overall maximum score was 124, and the Grand City Housing area received a score of 28 with a weight of 22.4%, so this residential area did not meet any ranking. The highest score obtained was in the Movement and Connectivity category, with a score of 7 out of a maximum of 26. Meanwhile, the lowest scores were Building and Energy (BAE) and Development and Innovation (IFD), with an identical score of 2 out of a maximum score of 15 for BAE and 9 for IFD. Therefore, it is necessary to create a Grand City Housing environment that is suitable to live in, comfortable, and efficient in accordance with the Greenship Neighborhood Assessment Version 1.0 rating tools in urban environments.

Abstract

PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) Madiun is a railroad manufacturing company that produces trains and provides train maintenance guarantee services, one of which is to PT LRT Jakarta. The problem is that PT LRT Jakarta does not yet have a warehouse to store components for train operational and maintenance needs, so it takes time for delivery from PT. INKA Madiun to PT LRT Jakarta. This research aims to create a design and proposal for the layout of warehouse facilities in accordance with the train maintenance components at PT INKA which produces Jabodebek LRT trains. The method used is class-based storage to determine the class arrangement of each component, the rectilinear distance method to determine the distance of component movement, average speed to determine component movement time, and material handling costs to determine the total material handling cost. The results obtained show that class A is for tools components, class B is for electrical and mechanical components, and class C is for chemical, nonchemical and change unit components. The operator movement distance is 198.71 m, the forklift movement distance is 23.35 m, the operator movement time is 28,196.9 seconds, and the forklift movement time is 2,019.9 seconds for layout 1, while for layout 2 it is known that the operator movement distance is 197.60 meters, the forklift moving distance is 16.12 meters, the operator moving time is 27,889.9 seconds, and the forklift moving time is 963 seconds. The material handling costs obtained from the two layouts are Rp. 668,821,576. The layout also considers shelf dimensions, pallet dimensions, forklift dimensions, operator dimensions, door dimensions and the space of each component. The conclusion of this research is that the facility layout design is appropriate based on the class of each train maintenance component and the proposed layout chosen is layout 2 because the component movement distance and component movement time are smaller than layout 1.

Abstract

Human resources are part of company assets that need to be managed well because they have a big influence on company performance. Tower division PT. Kunango Jantan is a business group engaged in the manufacture and strengthening of towers. Workers in the tower division are currently not fully structured well because there are still workers who have more than one position, which makes the workload felt by workers high and can disrupt worker productivity. So research is needed to idetermine the workloadi received by each worker using the Full Time iEquivalent (FTE) and Workload Analysis (WLA) methods. In this research, using the FTE method, it was found that there wasi an imbalance in the workload of each tower division worker in the overload category. For this reason, the company makes improvements by paying more attention to the capabilities and work facilities of each worker and can add additional workers. Using the WLA method, the optimal number of workers is 28 out of the actual 13 workers in the tower division.

Abstract

Fish is a food source that is easily obtained in Indonesia, fish can not only be found in rivers and the sea. Along with developments in technology, fish can be cultivated at home with limited land. In fish farming, water quality has a major influence on fish production. There are several parameters that can be used as a reference to determine whether water is said to have good quality, namely temperature, pH and water turbidity. In this research, ESP32 is used as a microcontroller to process the readings of the temperature sensor DS18B20, pH sensor and TDS sensor in the aquarium, with data that can be monitored via LCD and smartphone. This tool can set the pump ON/OFF based on predetermined water condition parameters. The comparison results between aquariums that use smart aquariums and aquariums that do not use smart aquariums show that using smart aquariums is more effective in maintaining water quality (pH 6.8, temperature 29.4ºC, turbidity 96 ppm) compared to not using smart aquariums (pH 3.5, temperature 28.9ºC, turbidity 178 ppm). Using a smart aquarium is also more efficient because it only consumes an average of 64.6 watts per day with a monthly cost of IDR 2,798, compared to a continuous pump which consumes 324 watts per day with a monthly cost of IDR 14,035. So pumps controlled by smart aquariums can better maintain water quality and save electricity costs.

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the performance of a printing machine using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations. The printing machine already meets the World Class standards with availability, performance, and quality metrics set at 85%. Achieving this standard is considered indicative of good machine performance according to these benchmarks. Recommendations for improvement include implementing machine maintenance management supported by routine maintenance by machine operators to minimize issues during production. The results from the OEE calculations show that the availability, performance, quality, and overall effectiveness of the machine have not reached or exceeded the World Class OEE standards. This has caused production delays due to the machine's low performance. The low performance is attributed to the fact that the printing machine operators at CV Delimas do not fully understand the machine's maintenance procedures. The performance metric for the printing machine at CV Delimas using OEE averages only 33%. This indicates that the machine's performance is significantly below the 95% standard.

Abstract

The Mayor of Samarinda's Regulation Number 8 of 2018 regulates the Samarinda Smart City Masterplan, specifically within the Smart Society pillar. The work program outlined in the regulation aims to enhance environmental security and comfort, with the main goals of achieving security and public order stability and creating a conducive atmosphere. One of the key indicators of success for this program is a reduction in crime rates. One of the targets of the Samarinda City Masterplan is the enhancement of the social function of the Public Green Open Space at Taman Samarendah, with active community involvement being crucial as an instrument in the planning and development process. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze visitors' perceptions using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) regarding the park's social infrastructure. The study is qualitative, employing a rationalistic approach and utilizing 17 variables. The primary research method involved a survey by distributing questionnaires. The analysis found that certain facilities with high importance but low satisfaction ratings included gazebos, guard posts, toilets, swings, seesaws, slides, reading corners, and information boards. The findings of this research not only provide important input for authorities to formulate strategies for improving the quality of Public Green Open Spaces in Samarinda and emphasize the need for programs that increase public participation in managing public facilities. By involving the community actively, it is hoped that a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for public spaces will be fostered. Additionally, this research identifies unmet community needs, which can serve as a basis for developing more suitable facilities. Thus, Public Green Open Spaces can function optimally as social spaces that support community well-being, while also contributing to the overall goals of the master plan, including creating a safer and more comfortable environment for all citizens

Abstract

The more a city develops, the higher the need for public space. Balikpapan City is the most populous city in East Kalimantan Province which requires larger public spaces than other cities. The city of Balikpapan has open public spaces and closed public spaces for interaction and activities. In the past, the people of Balikpapan city tended to visit public spaces only as a place to relax and recreate in public green open spaces. As time goes by and public space facilities develop, there are changes in people's behavior that are starting to be seen in line with the development of various activities in public spaces. This can be seen because the aim of current city development is to create various new public spaces following new developments to attract visitors to do activities in them without moving. Therefore, this research aims to determine the highest behavioral changes that occur in public spaces in Balikpapan City using qualitative methods. Data was collected using questionnaires and interviews distributed in public spaces in the city of Balikpapan and analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods to describe open and closed behavior that occurred in public spaces to compare behavior that occurred in public spaces in 2023 and several years earlier. The results of this research show the dominant behavior carried out by people in public spaces, such as gathering, taking photos, making videos, enjoying new facilities provided by public space managers, doing assignments and working. The highest behavioral changes in Balikpapan were in the Super Block and Mall Plaza Balikpapan. This research can be a reference to see the readiness of the community in facing urban development in realizing a smart city through the development of public spaces by taking into account the dominant habits and activities carried out by the community in public spaces.

Abstract

Flood disasters, stemming from both natural and human factors, present a significant threat to communities. Consider the case of Rapak Dalam Subdistrict in Samarinda City, where rapid development and improper land use have led to devastating flooding. The transformation of natural landscapes into residential areas, along with land excavation and mining, has disrupted the area's natural functions, resulting in increased runoff. In addition to human factors, natural elements such as rainfall and the lowland topography contribute to the frequent flooding. In 2018, a major flood forced around 10,000 people to evacuate due to prolonged rainfall, highlighting the urgent need for effective mitigation strategies. The overburdened Rapak Dalam Watershed was unable to contain the runoff, resulting in widespread devastation. Despite less intense rainfall, the frequency of flood incidents has risen, making it crucial to address these issues amidst ongoing land-use changes. To combat these challenges, hydrological modeling is essential in predicting and managing flood events caused by land-use changes. By calculating flood discharge, this approach enables the development of optimal mitigation strategies. It is imperative to take decisive action in the face of these escalating flood risks to safeguard communities and ensure sustainable development.

Abstract

Tourism development is generally directed towards leading sectors that can boost economic growth, increase local revenue, and expand job opportunities. One form of tourism that is being developed is nature-based tourism, namely lakes. Sebedang Lake is a natural tourism object included in the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) for Sambas Regency and its surroundings. Sebedang Lake is also the only natural lake along the northern coast of West Kalimantan. This research aims to analyze the tourism aspects of Sebedang Lake. In identifying existing conditions in the Lake Sebedang area, there are several identification activities including attractions, amenities, accessibility, accommodation, and the stakeholders involved. The research method used is a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, field notes, personal documentation, spatial analysis, and other official documents. An analysis of Sebedang Lake's tourism development reveals several shortcomings. Attractions and activities cluster near the main access, neglecting the broader area's potential. Amenity distribution suffers a similar imbalance, leaving vast stretches underserved. Accommodation options are limited to just two villas/homestays. While the main access road boasts good condition and high accessibility, inadequate lighting hampers safety. Furthermore, unpaved pathways to activity points pose an inconvenience. Stakeholder involvement includes the Sambas Regency Tourism Office,Pokdarwis, and local communities, each playing their part.
