Abstract

The majority of areas in Indonesia, such as the city of Jayapura, are categorized within zones of moderate to high seismic intensity. On February 9, 2023, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit Jayapura, resulting in damage to various structures, including the Cathedral Church. Assessments conducted after the earthquake revealed structural issues, including cracks in walls and significant deflection in the roof truss system. From the structural assessment of the current roof, it was determined that eleven truss elements had failed, and every rafter showed deflection surpassing the permissible limit of L/240. The reinforcement involved steel elements and created a Cremona truss framework with WF 250.125.6.9 and UNP 75.40.5 profiles. Connections were established with chemical anchors and endplates between the steel profiles and 30×50 cm concrete beams, along with welded joints linking the steel elements. Evaluation results indicated that the enhanced structure achieved a secure performance level and complied with applicable, especially SNI 1729:2020 for structural steel design. This situation emphasizes the significance of evaluating buildings after an earthquake and implementing specific reinforcement strategies to regain structural stability and safety.Keywords— steel, performance evaluation, earthquake, reinforcement.

Abstract

The Child Friendly City policy is part of the fulfilment of children's rights in a city, including the provision of parks as creative and recreational facilities for physical development. However, from research conducted by Wulandari et al. (2022) on the implementation of KLA policies in Banda Aceh City found that the facilities and infrastructure provided by the Banda Aceh City government in an effort to fulfil children's rights have a lot of quantity, but in terms of quality it is still far from feasible, including children's playgrounds with play facilities that are not maintained and not suitable for use. The purpose of this study is to determine visitor perceptions of public spaces in Banda Aceh City as child-friendly public spaces. Measurement of visitors' perceptions is carried out because in this case visitors are connoisseurs of public space. The research location is in three parks in Banda Aceh City which are active parks according to DLHK3 Banda Aceh, namely Tibang City Forest Park, Bustanussalatin Park, and Meuraxa Tourism Park. This research was conducted using quantitative methods and analysed using Likert scale scoring and weighting techniques. Data were obtained from primary survey results, namely observation. Based on the results, it is known that the park in Banda Aceh still cannot bu fully said to be a child-friendly public space, where there are still many indicators that are not in accordance with the criteria for child-friendly public space. Therefoe, additions and improvements of facilities are needed for the parks

Abstract

ABSTRAKKeselamatan merupakan faktor utama dalam berkendara guna mengurangi tingginya angka kemacetan bahkan resiko kecelakaan. Keselamatan dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor dengan potensi bahaya yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat keselamatan pengendara dan kesigapan pengendara terhadap kecepatan berkendara. Salah satu faktor potensi bahaya yaitu dengan adanya defisiensi terhadap perlengkapan jalan yang tidak mendukung/sudah rusak/sudah tidak laik. Penelitian dilakukan guna mengetahui faktor adanya potensi bahaya pada ruas jalan Ujungrusi dan Prof.Moh.Yamin. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan nilai pembobotan dan Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) untuk perlengkapan jalan. Berdasarkan hasil Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) masih terdapat beberapa adanya hambatan samping yang dapat mengganggu dan perlengkapan jalan yang tidak layak.  Kata kunci: Keselamatan, Potensi Bahaya, HIRARC, Perlengkapan Jalan

Abstract

Asphalt modification using polymer-based additives is one approach to improving resistance against plastic deformation and high temperatures. This study evaluates the effect of adding pure polypropylene (PP) on the physical and thermal properties of penetration grade 60/70 asphalt. PP was added at 0%, 1%, 3%, and 5% by weight. A reflux method was used to soften the polypropylene prior to mixing. Tests included penetration, softening point, viscosity, ductility, flash point, solubility, specific gravity, and TFOT. Results show reduced penetration from 61.8 to 49.7, increased softening point from 49.5°C to 53.2°C, and increased viscosity from 424 cSt to 592 cSt. Ductility decreased significantly from >140 cm to 122 cm, indicating reduced flexibility. The 5% PP addition gave the best stiffness and thermal stability. Storage stability tests were not conducted due to equipment limitations, suggesting the need for further study.

Abstract

Agricultural waste is waste derived from agricultural production, such ash, produced from combustion, has high pozzolanic properties due to its silica content and can be founf in areas with extensive rice fields village, kairatu district, wets seram regency, maluku. the method used is an experimental method in the laboratory using a partial cement substutute in the form of rice husk ash with varying dosages of 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% of the amount of cement tested at the ages of 7 and 28 days. the results of the study found that there was a decrease in pressure strength. the more percentage of rice husk ash used, the more the compressive strength of concrete decreases compared to normal concrete 0% (19.1 mpa), concrete with asp 5% (15.3 mpa) decreases by 19.9%, concrete with asp 10% (13.0 mpa) decreases by 31.9%, and the decrease for concrete with asp 15% (12.1 mpa) is 36.6% of normal concrete and rice husk ash to the slump, which is an increase in slump value. the slump value on normal concrete is 7.5 cm, concrete with an asp of 5% (9.5 cm) experiences a percentage increase in slump value of 26.7%, concrete with an asp of 10% (10cm) of 33.3% and concrete with an asp of 15% (11 cm) experiences a percentage increase of 46.7% from normal concrete.

Abstract

High intensity rainfall that occurs can cause puddles if the condition of the drainage system is not well maintained. The development of Pontianak City Infrastructure has resulted in land use changes that was originally in the form of vacant land converted into residential areas or other economic activities. The existing condition of the drainage channel at M. Sohor Road is not able to accommodate rainwater discharge in the rainy season. In the existing conditions for land use, there is no rainwater catchment area. The management of floods with arranging the drainage system has been ineffective so we need an environmentally drainage system arrangement concept.  Identification of the hydrological and hydrolic conditions that exist in the catchment area of the M. Sohor channel is required. The hydrological analysis in this study includes testing the consistency of rainfall data in Pontianak City, selecting a rain distribution that matches the rainfall data pattern, calculating the time concentration, rainfall intensity and the total discharge from domestic discharge and design discharge of 2, 5, 10 years. The hydraulic analysis in this study includes the design of a channel cross section design as a channel normalization plan. The total flow discharge in M.Sohor channel for a 2-year return period is 2.22 m3/s, a 5-year return period of 2.75 m3/s and a 10-year return period of 3.09 m3/s. Environmental insight drainage can be done by planting shrub plants that can reduce air pollution such as Croton and Bougainvillea, arranging M. Sohor Road to be friendly with pedestrians controlling excess rainwater discharge caused by the rain process through rain water harvesting techniques.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan limbah sebagai substitusi atau bahan tambahan dalam campuran beton dapat menurunkan tingkat pencemaran lingkungan. Limbah beton menjadi salah satu kontributor limbah terbesar. Pada penelitian terdahulu dengan mensubtitusi limbah beton sebagai pengganti agregat kasar dapat mengetahui kuat tarik lentur beton terjadi penurunan pada mutu tinggi diatas 25 MPa. Pengujian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kontruksi Bahan Bangunan prodi teknik sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Syiah Kuala. Kuat tekan beton rencana adalah f'c 15 MPa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 12 buah benda uji  berukuran 15 x 15 x 60 cm 9 buah benda uji  menggunakan  5%, 10%, 15% limbah beton sebagai pengganti agregat kasar, sedangkan untuk pembanding digunakan 3 buah benda uji beton normal. Pengambilan Limbah beton diambil dari hasil penelitian kuat tekan di Universitas Syiah Kuala dengan mutu 25 MPa. Masing-masing variasi sebanyak 3 buah benda uji, serta perawatan benda uji dengan perendaman dalam bak dan  pengujian akan dilakukan sampai beton berumur 28 hari. Hasil dari penelitian ini akan dibandingkan beton normal dengan menggunakan Limbah beton sebagai pengganti agregat kasar dengan variasi 5%,10% dan 15%. Kuat tarik lentur beton normal sebesar 3,011 MPa Sedangkan variasi 5% dan 10% serta 15% mengalami penurunan yaitu sebesar 2,663 MPa, 2,696 MPa dan 2,666 MPa, Penurunan tersebut disebabkan masih dikategorikan stabil karena penurunan tersebut dikontrol dengan hasil kuat tekan tidak mencapai 1 MPa, sehinggga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan limbah beton sebagai pengganti agregat kasar pada pengujian kuat tarik lentur beton tidak bisa digunakan pada beton struktural tetapi bisa digunakan paa beton non-struktural

Abstract

 A In the construction industry, there are two primary methods for concrete work: the conventional method (cast in situ) and the precast method. This study compares existing conventional floor slabs in the Al-Kitab GBI Summarecon Bandung Museum project with the precast Hollow Core Slab (HCS) system as an alternative modification. The conventional method is carried out directly on-site, requiring extensive formwork, labor, and strict supervision, resulting in a longer construction timeline. The precast HCS method does not require formwork, offers better quality control as it is manufactured in a factory, and requires less labor, although it necessitates heavy machinery for the installation of structural elements. The differences in characteristics between these two methods impact construction costs and the duration of the work. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach tailored to the research variables, focusing on current issues and construction phenomena. The analysis compares the two construction methods based on two main aspects: cost and construction time, focusing on floor slab structures. Based on the analysis of the two floor slab methods—cast-in-place and precast hollow core slab (HCS)—it was found that the precast HCS slab system has an advantage in terms of construction time, being 46 days or 29.3% faster than the cast-in-place method. However, in terms of cost, the precast HCS method is more expensive by Rp264,422,444.67 or 4.11% compared to the cast-in-place method.

Abstract

 Integral bridges are a type of bridge designed without the use of expansion joints or dilation gaps, allowing the superstructure and substructure to act monolithically without relative movement. In Indonesia, the application of integral bridge concepts is limited. Generally, bridges in the country are designed using simple-span systems with conventional bearings, which, despite their straightforward construction, require periodic maintenance and replacement. Precast prestressed concrete (PCI) girders have been implemented in several integral bridge designs in Indonesia; however, their application is restricted, particularly for piers of considerable size or height. This study aims to determine the maximum pier height applicable for multispan integral bridges utilizing PCI girders commonly available in the market. The investigation focuses on girders with a span length of 40 meters, given their widespread use in Indonesia. Structural modeling was carried out for pier heights ranging from 30 to 60 meters, considering structural behavior during both construction stages and service conditions. The results indicate that for a pier height of 30 meters, the stresses in the PCI girder remain within permissible limits. However, when the pier height increases to 40 meters, the stress exceeded allowable thresholds. Therefore, the use of standard PCI girders with a 40-meter span under such conditions is not recommended unless supported by design modifications or advanced construction technologies. It is thus concluded that 40-meter PCI girders are effective for integral bridge applications with pier heights below 30 meters.
