Abstract

This article examines Exploring the Phenomenom of Using Social Media on Student’ Religious Understanding in Polewali Mandar dan Majene Regency, West Sulawesi. This study collected data through participant observation techniques and in-depth interviews with twenty students who became critical informants. This study used a qualitative method with Alfred Schutz's motive theory. The results of the study indicate that the use of social media among students has become a lifestyle. The use of social media has positive and negative aspects, as well as social media platforms (such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok) to learn and understand religious and religious education. Using Alfred Schutz's motive theory, it was found that the reasons students use social media (because of motive) include seeking additional information about religious issues, finding out which religious lectures are popular, accessing religious lectures that are explained clearly and accurately on social media, and obtaining content quickly by clicking and listening to it satisfactorily. Students aim to achieve goals (in order to motive) by using social media, including using it as a source of self-introspection, understanding Islamic teachings in depth and detail, aspiring to become famous preachers, and listening to religious lectures as a necessity and entertainment in their free time.

Abstract

Villages are the smallest unit in Indonesia with the authority to regulate local government affairs, as regulated in Law Number 6 of 2014. Villages are formed to improve public services and community welfare, based on community initiatives and local conditions. In accordance with the 1945 Constitution and the principle of decentralization, villages play a role in regional autonomy, with the central government giving some of its authority to regions, including villages, to achieve self-reliance and poverty reduction. This study aims to investigate the causes of the postponement of the Village Head Election (Village Head Election) in Gunungsitoli District, as well as the factors that cause the rejection of the Acting Village Head (P.J Village Head) in the region. The type of research that will be used in this approach is a type of naturalistic research or rather qualitative descriptive research. In general, the postponement of the Village Head Election and the appointment of Village Head Officials can face various challenges that have an impact on community participation, social and economic stability, and trust in village government institutions. Community involvement in the decision-making process and communication transparency are key to addressing these issues.

Abstract

The decline in visitor numbers at Ekowisata Kampung Blekok implies optimization efforts are needed. The administrator’s ability to understand visitor behaviour can support these efforts, primarily related to visiting decision and satisfaction. These can be achieved by understanding the visitor’s motivation as an internal factor and the destination readiness as an external factor. This research aims to analyze the factors influencing visiting decision and the visitor’s satisfaction. The questionnaire with five-point likert sclae was distributed to 165 visitors using a purposive sampling. Data was analyzed with structural equation modelling – partial least square using SmartPLS 3.0 application. The result shows that the visiting decision is directly influenced by service quality (consist of tangible, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, eco-activities, empathy, eco-learning, and eco-practices) and marketing mix (consist of product, promotion, price, physical evidence, place, and process). Besides, visitor satisfaction is affected directly by service quality and visiting decision.

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of CRS strategies in improving reading comprehension skills of the students’ of Politeknik Pelayaran Sulawesi Utara. Using quantitative research through pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test, the data analysis statistically carried out using descriptive analysis and Paired Sample T-test. To find that there is a significant effect of using Collaborative Reading Strategy (CRS), the data will be calculated by using SPSS 25.0 application. The results show that CRS strategies have been proven to be effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills. The CRS strategy used is able to help students develop interest in reading and overcome boredom in the learning process. The implementation of Collaborative Reading Strategy (CRS) strategies has proven to be highly effective in improving the reading comprehension skills of the 2nd semester Nautical students at Politeknik Pelayaran Sulawesi Utara. The study revealed a significant increase in students' comprehension abilities, as evidenced by the substantial rise in mean scores from the pre-test to the post-test. The study confirms that CRS is a valuable tool for improving reading comprehension skills among Nautical students. The significant improvement in scores demonstrates that CRS strategies are well-suited to the needs of students in specialized fields, where understanding complex texts is essential.

Abstract

The implementation of patient-centred care (PCC) standards in hospital accreditation is anticipated to enhance patient satisfaction. This study focuses on Dr. Suyoto Kemhan Hospital, renowned for its comprehensive medical rehabilitation services, which underwent accreditation in 2018 and again in 2023. The research aims to analyze the impact of PCC application in accreditation standards on patient satisfaction levels before and after the accreditation process. Utilizing a cross-sectional analytical design, the study employed a questionnaire adapted from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB) No. 14 of 2017, which provides guidelines for public service satisfaction surveys. The results of the T paired-test indicated a statistically significant difference in patient satisfaction scores before and after accreditation, with a mean difference of 4.059 points. The Confidence Interval was relatively narrow (3.82 - 4.29), and the p-value was less than 0.001, demonstrating a substantial improvement in satisfaction levels. This enhancement reflects the positive effects of implementing PCC during the accreditation process, significantly influencing patients' perceptions of the services they receive. Overall, the findings underscore the importance of PCC in fostering a more satisfying healthcare experience for patients.
