Abstract

Becoming a startup for mothers who are members of the recitation group is an effort to increase family income. However, if we don't have the courage to start a business, all of our wishes will just become a dream that won't come true. This service activity aims to stimulate courage and change the mindset of the women of the Raudhatul Jannah recitation group, Koto Rendah Village, Siulak District, Kerinci Jambi Regency to develop her potential from being a housewife who has daily gardening activities, becoming a startup by synergizing with her group members. Through the counseling and discussion method, how to start a startup business, determinants of startup success, the role of technology in business and opening access to online-based sales are given to them. The result achieved is the formation of a Joint Business Group (KUBE) which consists of similar business groups and collaborates in running businesses in groups.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor-faktor kepemimpinan, pengembangan pega¬wai dan persepsi peran terhadap kinerja Penyidik Pejabat Pegawai Negeri Sipil Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (PPNS HKI) dan untuk mengetahui di antara faktor-faktor tersebut yang dominan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja Penyi¬dik PPNS HKI Kantor Wilayah Departemen Hukum dan HAM Provinsi Se-Sumatera.Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh PPNS HKI yang berada pada Provinsi Se-Sumatera seba¬nyak 33 orang, namun karena yang mengembalikan kuesioner hanya 30 orang, maka responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor kepemimpinan, pengembangan pegawai dan persepsi peran secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja Penyidik PPNS HKI sebesar 72,10% sedangkan sisa¬nya sebesar 27,90% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini. Secara parsial masing-masing faktor kepemimpinan berpengaruh signifikan sebesar 24,40%, pengembangan pegawai signifikan sebe¬sar 26,01% sedangkan persepsi peran secara parsial tidak signifikan karena pengaruhnya sangat kecil, hanya sebesar 1,74% pada taraf nyata 5%. Dengan demikian pengembangan pegawai berpengaruh dominan terha¬dap kinerja Penyidik PPNS HKI Kantor Wilayah Dep. Hukum dan HAM Provinsi Se-Sumatera.Kata Kunci: Kinerja, praktek kepemimpinan, pengembangan dan persepsi peran.

Abstract

Case-based learning has been applied and proven to be effective in increasing students' class participation. However, studies on how this method is used through online learning are still limited. Whereas online learning activities have been done during the Covid-19 pandemic, but most students seem to become passive during an online class. This study investigated students’ perceptions of the case-based learning method and how this method could be effective. Using a mixed-method design, the data were collected through questionnaires in Google forms from 42 students of an online Change Management class and students were asked to write their thoughts and perceptions. The data, then, were analyzed using SPSS software. This study indicated that case-based learning is helpful for students’ academic and characters improvement. The students found the method beneficial because the lecturers implemented the method well. This study suggested that the key success of case-based learning in an online class depends on the lectures and the online learning facilities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang mendorong minat mahasiswa baru memilih FEB Unja, (2) Untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa terhadap FEB Unja sebelum mereka diterima dan (3) Untuk mengeksplorasi harapan mahasiswa setelah diwisuda nanti. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara yang mendalam terhadap 24 orang mahasiswa baru angkatan 2016 yang mewakili jurusan Manajemen, Ilmu Ekonomi, Akuntansi dan Ekonomi Islam masing-masing melalui jalur seleksi SNMPTN, SMBPTN dan UMB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa yang menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini memilih FEB Unja karena minat yang berasal dari sendiri, mereka berpersepsi bahwa FEB akan memberikan lebih banyak peluang kerja dibanding fakultas lain dan mereka berharap setelah tamat nanti mayoritas ingin bekerja di bank dan menjadi entrepreneur. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Quality of Work Life on Organizational Citizenship Behavior through Organizational Commitment as a mediating variable. The population in this study were all permanent employees of PT. Petro China International Jabung Ltd with a sample of 120 respondents. The data collection method uses questionnaire method which is measured using Likert scale and the hypotheses was tested by  using the PLS (Partial Least Square) program. The results showed that the quality of work life has positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, the quality of work life is proven to have positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment has positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and organizational commitment partially mediates the relationship between the quality of work life and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The implication of this research is that the increasing quality of work life will increase organizational commitment so that it can improve Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The company must continuously improve the quality of work life program to increase the employee performance with objective and systematic procedures.

Abstract

The development philosophy by Indonesia is change, starts from the village to correct previous development practices. Hence, public service motivation is essential to promote village development. So, the purpose of this study is to examine the direct and indirect effects of transformational leadership and organizational culture on public service motivation. The methodology accordingly includes a seven-item scale questionnaire survey consisting of 210 samples of village officials. We used the structural model, fit model, and mediation model to test the hypothesis and allow SmartPLS. The result showed that public service motivation is directly influenced by transformational leadership and organizational culture. Indirectly, public service motivation is influenced by transformational leadership mediated by organizational culture. Hence transformational leadership is the essential thing that should be implemented by the village official where they needed to empower. In line with it, organizational culture has a mediation role in improving public service motivation. Hence, the local role of government is expected to empower the village's organizational environment to make the village more positional.

Abstract

This study examined the role of servant leadership in encouraging innovative work behavior of civil servants through increased employee engagement. This study used a quantitative method   by distributing   a   list   of   questions   to 116 Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) from several institutions in Jambi City. The primary data were analyzed using SEM-SmartPLS. The results showed that servant leadership had no significant positive effect on innovative work behavior, but servant leadership positively affected employee engagement. Moreover, employee engagement also has a significant positive impact on innovative work behavior. Thus, employee engagement is a complete mediation in the relationship between servant leadership and innovative work behavior. The results indicated that innovative behavior could be increased by enhancing employee engagement stimulated by servant leadership.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana tingkat partisipasi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dari kemampuan menyelesaikan kasus-kasus berkaitan dengan manajemen perubahan organisasi, dimulai dari identifikasi fakta, teori manajemen perubahan, alasan perubahan, penyebab perubahan dan cara melakukan perubahan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang terdaftar di kelas Manajemen Perubahan berjumlah ± 32 orang mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, selama aktivitas perkuliahan berlangsung secara virtual menggunakan zoom meeting, masih ditemukan mahasiswa yang kurang memahami materi perkuliahan serta kasus yang telah didiskusikan, ini disebabkan ketika pembelajaran berlangsung mahasiswa tersebut tidak mau bertanya dan tidak memiliki rasa ingin tahu terhadap materi dan penjelasan kasus yang disampaikan baik oleh sesama rekan mahasiswa ataupun dosen, hal ini lah yang menunjukkan efektivitas metode pembelajaran case method serta tingkat partispasi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa belum menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hal lain menunjukkan bahwa dari jumlah mahasiswa yang mengikuti kelas perkuliahan manajemen perubahan, 36% dari jumlah mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti perkuliahan melalui implementasi case method menunjukkan pengaruh positif terhadap metode pembelajaran case method dan membantu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir untuk menyelesaikan masalah, keterampilan intelektual serta menjadi pebelajar mandiri

Abstract

Menjamurnya pedagang kuliner kaki Lima di sepanjang jalan hampir di semua kota merupakan suatu indikasi semakin berkembangnya usaha mikro kecil yang telah terbukti berkontribusi dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja. Namun dengan semakin pesatnya persaingan antara yang bermodal kuat dan lemah, antara tradisional dan westernisasi, menyebabkan pedagang kali lima tersebut harus berani berinovasi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan program kemitraan dengan pedagang kaki lima kuliner yang berada di Jalan Jendral Sudirman Thehok Kotamadya Jambi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu agar para pedagang kaki lima memilki pemahaman tentang tentang pentingnya berinovasi, menawarkan berbagai strategi dalam berinovasi, memberikan percontohan menjaga hyginietas makanan, memberikan pelatihan tentang pelayanan kepada pelanggan dan memperkenalkan pemasaran on line baik untuk promosi maupun untuk penjualan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab dan diakhiri dengan pemberian bahan baku untuk melakukan inovasi produk. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa pemahaman dan perluasan wawasan tentang pentingnya berinovasi baik dari segi keragaman rasa, rupa dan sikap dalam melayani.sehingga dapat terus meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing dan peningkatan omzet penjualan melalui inovasi berkelanjutan.
