Abstract

Gen-Z, the group born between 1997-2012, has emerged as a significant market force. As this generation begins to build their careers and gain purchasing power, Gen-Z has become a crucial focus for researchers and marketers today. Their purchasing behavior differs from previous generations. Growing up with easy access to the internet and digital technology, this generation tends to spend more time online and is highly influenced by digital marketing efforts. This research aims to examine Gen-Z's purchase intentions toward electric vehicles (EVs) in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas, mediated by the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Data was collected from 335 Gen-Z respondents using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS. This study found that although individuals have a high level of environmental awareness, their attitudes do not always translate into actual green purchasing decisions. The research findings can help EV marketing managers develop appropriate strategies for targeting Gen-Z.

Abstract

The digital era demands Arabic language teachers to possess integrated competencies, encompassing Content Knowledge, Pedagogical Knowledge, and Technological Knowledge within the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework. This study aims to analyze the competencies of Arabic language teachers in Indonesia in addressing the challenges of the Society 5.0 era using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The analysis was conducted on 17 relevant studies. The findings reveal that most teachers have adequate content and pedagogical knowledge; however, the integration of technology in teaching remains limited. Teachers tend to utilize technology at a basic level, such as for communication and information sources, without fully leveraging its potential to support innovative and interactive teaching. This study recommends structured TPACK training, improved access to technology, and the development of teacher communities to share best practices. These findings provide strategic guidance for enhancing the quality of Arabic language teaching to meet the needs of the digital era.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine how employee performance is influenced by leadership, compensation, and work spirit in an organizational environment. The (SLR) approach, a systematic review of related material from several academic sources, was the study methodology used. This research data was obtained through online searches and journals related to job satisfaction published in the 2019-2024 period. The number of journals analyzed was 21 journals. The findings of this study indicate that elements such as incentives, balanced salaries, and strong leadership styles can increase worker productivity. These results suggest that in order to increase worker productivity and satisfaction, it is imperative for companies to focus on these factors. Therefore, it can be said that achieving peak performance in the workplace largely depends on factors such as leadership, compensation, and work spirit.

Abstract

This research is driven by the inadequacies in the collaborative process within the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme, which has hindered the operationalization of Singkawang Airport, despite its inauguration by the President of Indonesia on March 20, 2024. The collaboration involves key actors, including the Central Government through the Ministry of Transportation, the Singkawang City Government, PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia, CSR Team and the local community surrounding the airport construction site. Adopting the cross-sector collaboration framework proposed by Bryson, Crosby, and Stone, this study aims to analyze and elucidate the Collaborative Governance process in the development of Singkawang Airport by examining six dimensions: forging initial agreements, building leadership, building legitimacy, building trust, managing conflict, and planning. This study employs a qualitative research method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Informants were selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. The findings reveal that the Collaborative Governance process in the PPP scheme for Singkawang Airport is partially evident across the six dimensions. The first dimension, forging initial agreements, highlights the absence of formal agreements underpinning the collaboration. The second dimension, building leadership, demonstrates the presence of both formal and informal leadership structures. In the third dimension, building legitimacy, both internal and external legitimacy have been established. The fourth dimension, building trust, reveals that trust-building efforts are limited to periodic meetings conducted several months apart. The fifth dimension, managing conflict, shows a lack of preventive measures necessary to sustain trust. Finally, the sixth dimension, planning, indicates that while initial plans were formulated, they required dynamic adjustments to address emergent challenges during implementation. In conclusion, this study underscores that relying solely on the PPP scheme poses significant challenges to the realization of the airport project. Cross-sector collaboration has accelerated the development process but remains suboptimal, as it does not fully address the six dimensions of effective collaboration.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism development in Tomohon City, a prominent destination in North Sulawesi, faces challenges such as limited infrastructure, suboptimal community participation, and fragmented environmental management. This study examines the roles of the government and local communities in supporting sustainable tourism through the tourism village concept. The research employs a qualitative case study method, focusing on five urban villages in Tomohon City with significant tourism potential and community involvement. Data collection involved in-depth interviews with government officials, tourism actors, and local communities, as well as field observations and document analysis of tourism policies and programs. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal the government plays a strategic role in policy formulation, community empowerment, and infrastructure development, but implementation is hindered by budget limitations and inter-agency coordination. Local communities contribute through culture- and environment-based tourism management, such as homestays, handicrafts, and tradition preservation. Participation increases with support from government or NGOs but remains uneven. Synergies between stakeholders are observed in tourism training, cultural festivals, and environmental initiatives, yet require enhanced communication and systematic empowerment. This study concludes that sustainable tourism village development in Tomohon City relies on synergistic collaboration, inclusive policies, and active community participation to serve as a model for other regions.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of the seven-steps of fun school movement in Singkawang City as a means to improve the quality of basic education in Singkawang City. The analysis was conducted using Merilee S. Grindle's policy implementation theory, which includes content and context variables. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and document studies. The results showed that the the seven-step fun school movement has accommodated the interests of all target groups, namely students, teachers, principals, parents, and the community. This program provides academic, social, and health benefits that are felt directly, fairly, and evenly. The movement also succeeded in encouraging positive changes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of the target groups, thus creating a more positive and student-centered school culture. However, the resources, including funding, human resources, and infrastructure, are still inadequate and need improvement. The implementation of this program involved various actors with different powers, interests, and strategies, but in general, it showed high commitment and support. The characteristics of the implementing agencies, such as a flexible organizational structure, a responsive organizational culture, and strong leadership, also supported the successful implementation. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that the Singkawang City Government increase support and socialization of the program, as well as strengthen regulations. Schools are encouraged to continue to innovate and involve the entire school community. Parents and communities are expected to improve understanding and participation in the program.

Abstract

The rise of social media platforms like TikTok that offer short-form videos tailored to user interests, new opportunities have emerged in marketing strategies. Currently, viral marketing has become a popular marketing strategy, relying on influencers to promote products. The younger generation is often easily influenced by the Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) and, by leveraging viral marketing to tap into this emotion, it can drive consumers toward making a purchase decision. This research uses a quantitative method with purposive sampling, involving 225 TikTok users. Data was collected using a Google Form platform with questionnaires distributed to respondents online and analyzed using Smart PLS 4.0. The analysis results show that influencer marketing significantly affects purchase decisions for Kanzler products, but viral marketing has a larger and more significant impact on purchase decisions for Kanzler products.

Abstract

This study aims to explore marketing strategies based on digitalization, storytelling, and local wisdom implemented by MSMEs in West Java to increase competitiveness. With a qualitative approach and exploratory design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with MSME actors from the culinary, handicraft, and traditional clothing sectors. The findings show that digitalization of marketing through social media, such as Instagram and TikTok, helps MSMEs expand their market reach. However, low digital literacy is still a major obstacle. Storytelling is used to create emotional connections with consumers, especially through authentic narratives about the cultural and historical values ??of the product. The obstacle in storytelling lies in the consistency of story delivery. Local wisdom, such as traditional motifs or local materials, gives a unique identity to a product, but MSME actors often face a dilemma between maintaining cultural authenticity and following modern trends. This study confirms that the integration of digitalization, storytelling, and local wisdom can significantly increase the competitiveness of MSMEs. However, its success requires support in the form of digital literacy training, development of storytelling skills, and policies that support cultural preservation. This research is expected to provide practical contributions for MSME actors as well as recommendations for policy makers to support business sustainability in the digital era.
