Abstract

Land asset management in Kodam III/Slw faces various challenges, including administrative, physical, and legal aspects. This has become quite a heavy task for Zidam III/Slw as the unit responsible for the management. Although there are efforts to optimally manage land assets, many problems still arise in the field, such as inaccuracies in administrative data, limited physical supervision, and legal issues related to land status. Therefore, more efficient solutions are needed to address these issues. This research aims to explore the use of information technology, specifically the Google Earth application, as a solution in land asset management at Kodam III/Slw. The research method used is qualitative with an exploratory approach and case study design, which allows the researcher to delve deeply into various aspects related to land asset management. The research results show that the Google Earth application has proven effective in strengthening administrative roles, facilitating physical supervision, and providing ease in land asset mapping. The use of this technology also provides benefits in improving coordination among the related parties. However, to address the existing legal issues, Zidam III/Slw needs to enhance advocacy channels in accordance with the applicable regulations. The implication of this research is the importance of adopting information technology in land asset management and the need for more intensive coordination between internal and external parties to support the resolution of the legal issues faced.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education, particularly post-COVID-19, has accelerated a major shift towards online learning. While it offers flexibility, this transition has also had significant impacts on students' mental health, including stress, anxiety, and digital burnout due to intense virtual interactions. This study aims to examine the relationship between cyber pedagogy, digital burnout, and students' mental health in the context of online learning. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research collected and analyzed 11 articles published between 2015 and 2025 through the Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases. The analysis process was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines, focusing on the relationship between cyber pedagogy and its impact on students' mental health. The results show that digital burnout and mental health disorders are significant challenges often overlooked in digital learning design. Cyber pedagogy, with proper management, can help reduce the psychological gap between students and the learning environment, while also improving students' well-being. This study emphasizes the importance of a more responsive and humanistic pedagogical approach in designing digital learning, which not only focuses on technical aspects but also supports students' mental health sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of tourism development policies based on mystical traditions in Banyuwangi Regency as an integrative model between cultural preservation, local spirituality, and improving community welfare. In the context of modernization and globalization, the mystical tradition of the Banyuwangi people continues to survive through innovative policies of the local government that place local culture as the main axis of sustainable development. The approach of this research is qualitative participatory with in-depth interviews, field observations, and analysis of regional tourism policy documents and programs. The results of the study show that tradition-based tourism policies have integrated the mystical and spiritual values of the Using community into the form of cultural festivals such as Gandrung Sewu, Seblang, and Barong Ider Bumi. The innovation of the Banyuwangi Regency Government has succeeded in increasing community participation, strengthening cultural identity, and encouraging local economic growth. Policy success is influenced by close collaboration between governments and indigenous peoples, with the application of participatory, inclusive, and non-discriminatory principles. However, challenges were found in the form of potential cultural commercialization and economic benefit gaps. It is concluded that tradition-based tourism development policies in Banyuwangi present conceptual and practical novelty through the integration of mystical values in sustainable development strategies. This model shows a balance between cultural preservation and improving community welfare that is linear with the principles of the SDGs and Asta Cita's vision.

Abstract

This study explores the perceptions and practices of personal testimony among adolescents and young adults in GMIM Getsemani Perum Risky with regard to their congregational life practices. Using a qualitative participatory ethnographic design, data were gathered from 20 members through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of congregational documents. The evidence indicates that personal testimony is an essential, not marginal, practice since whoever is to express, interpret, and communicate faith. Testimonies come mostly from a feeling of gratitude at how God has helped them and an inner sense of calling and encouragement from leaders and peers, but they are also accompanied by anxiety, feelings of unworthiness, and fear of being judged. As a matter of fact, empirically, testimony is a kind of lived narrative theology: through telling detailed accounts of the struggle, divine assistance and change, participants re-read their histories of life through the lens of the gospel and combine the teaching of theology with the experience. The act of testifying brings about emotional and spiritual change, while listening to the testimonies of others brings about mutual edification, consolation, and hope. The study further shows that the practice of testifying in this congregation is influenced by the dialogue between GMIM's Reformed heritage and Minahasan cultural values such as mapalus, honesty, and solidarity, which together foster authenticity, openness, and communal responsibility.

Abstract

This study examines how the Christian book, the Buku Renungan Harian Keluarga (RHK), influenced the formation of faith among the members of GMIM Baitel Eris in the Tandengan District. Set in the context of the overall discussion on Protestant spiritual formation and family worship, the study deals with the current application of RHK in home worship, its perception by congregants, and its contribution to spiritual development and family life. Data were collected using a qualitative case study design, where semi-structured interviews with adult congregants, parents, youth, Sunday school teachers, column leaders, and office-bearers of the church were used, supplemented by participatory observations during family and sectoral worship venues and document analysis of RHK editions and church records. Thematic data analysis was conducted in accordance with the steps of data analysis presented by Braun and Clarke. The results indicate that RHK is more strongly integrated into GMIM Baitel Eris' daily piety, and thus, it is a domestic liturgical script that reflects congregational worship. The devotional reflection part is the experience that is found to be the most valuable, as it connects Scripture and everyday life. According to the respondents, they experienced improved spiritual knowledge, increased intimacy with God, self-character development, and improved family relations. The first barrier to regular use was busyness, and the digital formats and proposed interactive features are hints of what needs to be changed in the future. The paper concludes that Christian books continue to play a crucial role in the formation of faith in local GMIM settings and makes pastoral suggestions to support and revitalise the practices of family-oriented devotion in the face of modern-day social and technological transformation.

Abstract

This paper discusses how social media works as a communicative and spiritual space in Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa (GMIM), a synodal Protestant church in Minahasa. This study examines the application of social media in sharing church information, congregational interactions, and spiritual life. An explanatory sequential mixed-methods design was used, which entailed a survey of 34 congregants, in-depth interviews, and digital ethnography of the official accounts of GMIM. Quantitative data convey the trends of platform usage, time clocked, role, perceived spiritual influence, and involvement in online religious materials, whereas qualitative data demonstrate how leaders and members perceive the chances and threats of digital communication. The results show that social media is integrated into the life of congregations and represents a digital continuation of communal relationships, assisting in the provision of information, worship resources, and support. Meanwhile, the respondents referred to ambivalence, acknowledging social media as a source of grace and a distracter, conflict, and superficial religiosity simultaneously. The research also reveals that the digital communication used by GMIM is, to a great extent, one-sided, although the congregants want to interact more dialogically through two-way communication. The article proposes that the church should have cohesive policies on digital communication, invest in digital literacies, and unite online practices with embodied worship and diaconal action so that social media may be used as a place of proclamation, koinonia, and Christian service and not as a convenient channel to make announcements.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the role of the family in shaping children's faith amid the challenges of the digital era, focusing on the congregation of GMIM Bukit Moria Tikala Baru. Using a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, the research collected data through open-ended questionnaires from 15 parents and 5 children, supplemented by interviews, limited observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was employed to identify patterns of spiritual practices, challenges, and children’s perceptions of faith transmission within the family. The findings show that the family serves as the first and primary community of faith, with prayer emerging as the dominant foundation in early faith formation. Nine out of fifteen parents mentioned teaching prayer as the initial step, followed by fostering regular church attendance and sharing Bible stories. Daily spiritual practices—such as morning prayers, prayers before meals, and evening prayers—are consistently carried out by most families, although formal family worship remains limited. The main challenges identified include the penetration of digital technology and social media (reported by 10 parents), peer influence, and parents’ busy schedules that reduce the amount of quality time available for spiritual education. However, children’s perceptions emphasize that parental role-modeling—through prayer, worship, and tangible expressions of love—has a profound and motivating impact. Children not only imitate religious practices but also internalize their faith when they experience loving relationships and spiritual consistency within the home. The study concludes that children’s faith formation requires a holistic and relational approach that integrates rituals, narratives, role-modeling, and warm communication within the family. These findings contribute insights for churches and policymakers in designing family-support programs that respond to the spiritual dynamics of younger generations in the digital era.

Abstract

Abstract Ecclesial fellowship in GMIM Filadelfia Wawontulap has ceased being a ritualized liturgy to a crucial place of creating genuine relationships, solving conflicts, and the assimilation of Biblical values and Minahasan culture. Through descriptive-interpretative qualitative research approach, the study analyzes the role of fellowship as a merging and healing process among church members and uses five themes namely, the strengthening of social-spiritual relationships, the church as a reconciler, the leadership of pastors and elders, the integration of mapalus in koinonia, and the means of increasing participation and belonging. Results indicate that social bonding among fellowship activities at the column, commission, and categorical levels, generational relational gaps, and helpful mutual support between generations, be it at the hospital visit or a common meal. The church plays an active role in mediating conflicts in an all-inclusive pastoral ministry which involves prayer, open dialogue, and personal accompaniment. Although pastors and elders are appreciated as spiritual advisors, members want more personal contact and less formality to help bring openness, particularly among young people and those who are shy. The Minahasan cultural ethics, especially of mapalus (mutual cooperation), are highly effective social capital, and support equality, solidarity, and togetherness, which is similar to New Testament koinonia. Some of the best approaches to promote participation are informal intergenerational events, youth participation with planning the events, frequent visits to the aged and non-judgmental area where the youth can share their personal plight.

Abstract

Developing pragmatic competence is essential for EFL learners, especially in contexts where real communication opportunities are limited. This study investigates how Project-Based Learning (PBL) supports the development of pragmatic competence among Indonesian EFL students during real-life speaking interactions with foreign tourists at Double Six Beach, Bali. The project activity focused on the theme “Getting to Know Each Other.” Using a qualitative descriptive design, the study analyzed speech acts produced by two learner groups: kids (9–12 years old) and teenagers (14–16 years old). Data were collected from video recordings of student–tourist interactions and examined using Searle’s (1976) speech act taxonomy and Hymes’ (1972) notion of pragmatic competence. Findings show that both groups were able to perform a range of speech acts, including greetings, asking for information, sharing personal details, expressing gratitude, and managing conversational turns. Overall, the study shows that Project-Based Learning provides a useful way to develop pragmatic competence by involving students in meaningful and authentic communication outside the classroom.
