Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of gender-based violence against women which is represented again by Wisran Hadi in the novel Orang-orang Blanti. Based on the urgency of reviewing this problem, this study aims to analyze the forms of acts of violence experienced by the female characters in the novel and their actions as an effort to resist. The research method used to study these problems is a qualitative method with descriptive content analysis techniques. The findings of the research show that a) the acts of violence experienced by the female characters in the novel Orang-orang Blanti include physical violence and psychological violence; and b) the efforts of female leaders to fight against this act of violence by tracing the background of the perpetrator s actions, rewriting the victim s biography, and rejecting socio-cultural policies that harmed her.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction) learning model on student learning outcomes. Quantitative research using Posttest Only Control Group Design or also known as Quasi Experimental Design. Saturated sampling was used to select 30 students who became research respondents. There were 25 multiple choice questions included in the instrument. The test was used to obtain Posttest value data. Point Biserial correlation formula and reliability calculation will be used to validate the instrument beforehand. With a score of 84.7 the control class performed worse than the experimental class. Data were analyzed by t-test. The t-test results showed that students science learning outcomes increased with the application of the ARIAS learning model in elementary school.

Abstract

Caregivers and supervisors of UPTD KANRI Surabaya need to understand how the principles of caring to foster children. This study aims to see the effectiveness of positive parenting psychoeducation to increasing understanding of positive parenting. This research used quantitative experimental method by applying the one-group pretest-posttest design with a total of 9 caregivers & supervisors as subjects. The results show that this program is effective in increasing the subject s understanding of positive parenting. The increase can be seen from the difference in pretest & posttest scores and qualitative data. That knowledge will help subject to providing care to foster children.

Abstract

Norman Faircloughs critical discourse analysis aims to reveal the message of social criticism in the essay poetry of Mata Luka Sengkon Karta by Peri Sandi Huizche through text structure, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research and discussion illustrate that the message of criticism is through individual, group and group to group social interaction. Discourse practices in the form of murder and robbery. Situational socio-cultural practices which include motives, and institutional which include mass media organizations, and socio-cultural which include togetherness, nationalist, moral and religious values. The prominent social criticisms are poverty, crime, law enforcement, and discrimination.

Abstract

Assisted Guided Inquiry Model Google Sites supports and promotes learner independence during the learning process. This study aims to know the qualifications based on the effectiveness, practicality, and effectiveness of the aspects. The method used is the 4-D research and development (R&D) model. The results are as follows. 1) adequacy determined by expert verification, receipt of valid criteria; 2) Practice identified through implementation scored 84% on good criteria and learner response scored 82% on good criteria. This shows that the lesson plans meet practical standards. 3) Efficacy is determined by the activity of the learner who achieved 85% of her on good criteria and the learner s learning outcomes with the value N-gain of 0.62 on the criteria N-means gain. This indicates that the RPP is included in the valid criteria.

Abstract

Tourism development with social capital assistance can have a positive impact on communities because it contains norms, actions, and values for managing social capital that can motivate community participation in tourism development. The research was intended to describe social capital for the Bujang Squad in efforts to develop tourist villages in Terak village, Central Bangka. The methods in this study use descriptive qualitative methods. According to the study, the social capital in the Terak village was formed into three sections of trust, norms, and social networks.

Abstract

The number of divorce cases in Indonesia continues to increase, and this experience can affect one’s perception of marriage. This study aims to explore in more depth the meaning of marriage that young, divorced mothers have. This research is phenomenological qualitative research. The data were collected by means of semi-structured interviews and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results revealed 5 (five) aspects, namely: 1) the meaning of marriage before marriage, 2) the meaning of marriage after divorce, 3) reasons for divorce, 4) decision to remarry, and 5) children for participants. The research revealed that marriage, which was originally a life goal, changed due to bad experiences during marriage and divorce.

Abstract

The challenges of the globalization era for a country have an impact on the younger generation, the millennial generation of the 21st century. The crisis of ethics, morals, and character throughout the world has become a serious problem due to globalization. This research aims to develop civic science, especially at the level of the functions and benefits of civics for the civilization of a nation in the face of globalization. This is a qualitative research project using the literature review method (library research). The results of the study show that the importance of civic education for a country in the 21st century is overcoming the challenges of globalization, which are especially felt by the millennial generation, so that civic education becomes a pillar in building a nations identity.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out what Aminanto political modalities had and how Aminanto s efforts in gaining power in Sidoharjo village. The research method used was a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The findings of this study indicated that Aminanto s social capital came from three forms such as popularity, social networks, and social relationships. Meanwhile, his cultural capital came from the similarity of customs and culture he had with the people of Sidoharjo. Finally, economic capital that came from personal funds or no help from any party. The efforts made by Aminanto were the utilization forms of political modality he had.

Abstract

The ecological influence of tin mining causes conflict for fishermen community followed by socio, economic and political factors. The research aims to reveal the potential conflicts which occur in tin mining conflicts between fishing communities and mines. The research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results found that there are many factors occured, many actors who played in the conflict of tin mining and fishermen, as well as the tin mine itself which was indeed targeted and sought after by outsiders because they knew there is a lot of tin income in Batu Perahu Beach. The results of this research are expected to be used as literature and also as input for all communities and government circles.
