Abstract

The presence of online motorbike taxis in our daily lives is a phenomenon that is commonplace in today's sophisticated era. Therefore, this research aims to find out the background of fresh graduates from the Faculty of Letters at the State University of Malang becoming online motorbike taxis and the challenges and opportunities they face when becoming online motorbike taxis. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and Coleman's rational choice theory, using 5 informants. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the informant has reasons for becoming an online motorcycle taxi with a choice that is profit-oriented and wants to be productive after graduating from college.

Abstract

In criminal law, the element of intent is one of the important elements that determines criminal liability. The distinction between acts committed intentionally (dolus) and acts unintentionally (culpa) has significant implications for determining sanctions and the level of guilt of the perpetrator. ‘Deliberately’ refers to an act done with will and full knowledge of the consequences of that act. This includes intentionality as a goal, intentionality as a certainty, and intentionality as a possibility. On the other hand, 'Unintentional' refers to actions that occur due to negligence or carelessness, where the perpetrator does not intend the consequences to occur, but these consequences arise due to a lack of attention or violation of the expected standards of care. These differences are important to identify because they influence the type and severity of punishment, as well as indicating the degree of moral and legal culpability of the perpetrator. This article examines the differences in the concepts of intent and negligence in criminal law, as well as their implications for legal decisions and law enforcement policies.

Abstract

The tolerance character crisis in children is concerning due to a lack of effective learning media. This study developed a PjBL-based textbook on staple food civilization using the ADDIE model to foster tolerance. Data were collected through tests, analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, and implemented with eight children aged 10-11 in a Purworejo elementary school. Results showed the textbook was of “very good” quality (score 3.78) and highly effective (98,87%) in fostering tolerance, reflected in positive behavioral changes aligned with tolerance indicators in the children’s daily lives.

Abstract

Several challenges are faced in religious learning, such as low student motivation and high academic load. As one of the most popular digital platforms, YouTube has great potential as an innovative and interactive learning tool. This study aims to analyze the role of the YouTube social media platform in increasing interest in religious learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a survey method to collect data from 33 FAI students at the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The study results show that YouTube can be a practical learning resource, increase student involvement in the learning process, and increase their understanding of religious materials.

Abstract

Cyber espionage is an illicit activity that utilizes the internet network to monitor other entities by penetrating their computer networks. This research aims to provide a comparative explanation of the policies and regulations related to cyber espionage implemented in Indonesia and Germany. This research uses normative legal research methods with a statutory and regulatory approach, case studies, as well as comparative law (comparative approach) with a problem formulation of what policies and regulations related to cyber espionage are implemented in Indonesia and Germany? The results of this research show that Indonesia is showing strength in cyber security, characterized by increasing awareness of cyber security issues, its leadership role in Southeast Asia in this domain, and its rapid digital transformation that is driving the adoption of further levels of cyber security measures. However, Indonesia is grappling with various challenges such as a lack of skilled cybersecurity professionals and limited resources to implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, as well as a legal and regulatory framework that requires continuous refinement and adaptation. In contrast, Germany's strong legal framework acts as a bulwark against cyber threats. Coupled with substantial technical expertise and an innovative approach to cyber security, Germany benefits from a transparent legal framework that ensures clarity and efficiency in dealing with cyber threats. Nonetheless, Germany also faces weaknesses, such as reliance on external technology and supply chains, the prevalence of sophisticated cyber threats, and the challenge of harmonizing cybersecurity practices across sectors

Abstract

The development of educational media for seventh-grade students with intellectual disabilities at SLBN Kota Gorontalo requires an effective approach. This study aims to develop quartet card media with an emotional approach using the ADDIE model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and literature studies, and then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that the quartet cards are valid and feasible to use (100% material validation, 98% media validation) and highly effective (99.2% effectiveness). The quartet cards enhance student interaction and understanding, making learning more enjoyable and interactive.

Abstract

Leadership is a way for leaders to direct, encourage, and organize elements of a group or organization to achieve the desired goals, thereby improving employee performance to the maximum. This study aims to find out and analyze the influence of Bureaucratic leadership and competence on the performance of Employees at the North Gorontalo Regency Transmigration and Manpower Office. This study uses a quantitative method. The population as well as a sample of this study is all employees of the North Gorontalo Regency Transmigration and Manpower Office. Data analysis uses multiple regression. The results of the study show that bureaucratic leadership and competence affect the performance of employees at the North Gorontalo Regency Transmigration and Manpower Office both partially and simultaneously.

Abstract

This research starts from situation and phenomenon that is unfair to the social position of women which has been held hostage by a patriarchal culture. The aim of this research is to show the local wisdom that is gender responsive to build gender awareness in creating justice for women. The method used in this research is ethnography with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this research show that the legend of the origin of the rice plant in Sumba is a moral story that is aware and fair to gender. The data in this research was obtained from interviews. The results of this research can be used as evaluation material for the people of Sumba so that discrimination against women is no longer permitted.

Abstract

Traditional interior design often reflects the integration of cultural elements and practical functions in a residential context. This study aims to explore the influence of traditional elements on the layout and function of space in the traditional house of Kampung Miduana, Cianjur. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study analyzes the door orientation, the function of the gowah and parukuyan, and the design of the stilt house. The findings show that the south door orientation combines symbolism and practical functions, the gowah and parukuyan have deep cultural values, and the design of the stilt house reflects the harmony between aesthetics and functional needs. The implication of this study is the importance of considering traditional elements in contemporary interior design to maintain and express local cultural identity.

Abstract

The process of transferring values and culture contained in local stories needs to be passed on to the younger generation, one way is by documenting local stories. Related to this, this article is one form of documentation of a local story entitled Watu Tumpeng from Bohol village, Gunung Kidul. The method for completing this story is in accordance with the methodology proposed by Appell (Appell, 2014) and the macrostructure elements of the story are identified based on Labov's narrative elements. The final result is a story that is better structured based on Labov's narrative structure including abstract, orientation, complicating actions, evaluation, results or resolution and coda. This study enriches the documentation of folklore, especially in the Gunung Kidul area.
