Abstract

Ngadha community believes in a relationship between their traditional houses (sa'o), land, and ancestors. Sa'o is a gathering of families symbolizing unity, harmony, and togetherness. This research purpose is to explore the role of sa'o in strengthening the unity and cohesion of Ngadha community. The method used descriptive-qualitative, literature review and interviews. Sa’o as a unifying heirloom must be preserved to maintain the unity and harmony of family. This has impact on greater unity and cohesion, namely Ngada Regency, Province, and Indonesian nation. Living the cultural heritage of sa'o means realizing the third principle of Pancasila: the unity of Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of people who immediately accept the information conveyed in the movie Ice Cold, forgetting that Netflix is a media industry that regulates profit. The purpose of this research is to analyze a discourse by measuring the levels of subjectivity and objectivity. Qualitative research method with the theory used van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis model. The results found that Netflix as a media owner can set movie scenarios to meet the needs of capitalists who regulate political economic interests by creating a construction of reality in this film. The implication of this research is expected to make people care about the construction of media discourse and be smart in considering various empirical facts

Abstract

Effective learning can be observed through the effectiveness of the teaching process itself. The aim of this study is to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of the problem-based learning model and its impact on improving students' knowledge. This research employs a quantitative method. The problem-based learning model follows five stages. The results of the study indicate that the N-Gain score, used to measure the effectiveness of the learning model, reached 98%, indicating that it is effective when applied in problem-based learning assisted by the ArcGIS Story Map. Additionally, students' responses showed a score of 70.85, which is categorized as very good. Furthermore, the post-test scores were higher than the pre-test scores, demonstrating an improvement in students' knowledge.

Abstract

The e-Service-Learning (e-SL) model is an option in implementing quality learning even in online learning situations. The problem that still often arises regarding the implementation of e-SL is related to how to implement e-SL in learning. This study aims to find out the design framework of the e-SL model in various parts of the world, so that it is hoped that it can become an inspiration for universities that want to implement this model. The method of this research uses a systematic literature review with the help of publish or perish (PoP) in the data search process. The selection process used PRISMA in 2020. There were 18 articles that were successfully reviewed to answer the problem on how does the framework (O) e-Service-Learning (I) compared to universities (P) globally (C) during the COVID-19 pandemic (T)? Result of this research describe that the e-SL framework for the Asian region, partner cultural conditions need to be given more attention. The Americas region the framework prioritizes communication with partners and then student training. And the e-SL framework in the European region shows more importance in the reflection aspect of this e-SL process. The implication for the practitioners and researchers, they can use these insights to customize e-SL models and examine regional influences on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Language maintenance is a person’s effort to maintain and preserve their language when interacting with others. This study aims to describe the use of the language Gorontalo in society, the factors that influence the maintenance of the Gorontalo language, and strategies for maintaining the Gorontalo language carried out in Kayu Kelor village, Ratolindo subdistrict, Tojo Una-una Regency. The research uses qualitative decriptive research methods. The findddings indicate that (1) language use in the family domain predominantly follows the BG+BM, in the neighborhood domain, the BG+BM, in the employment domain the BM+BI, in the religious domain, the BM+BG. The preservatioan of the Gorontalo language influeced by family, social interactions, communication intesity, activies, and personal desire. The strategies preservation Gorontalo language using the Gorontalo language as a means of communication and intergrating language and culture.

Abstract

The learning model is a support for the learning process, for this reason, its use is important in the implementation of learning. This study aims to describe the use of interactive learning models in elementary schools in improving students' reading and writing skills. The method used in the study is qualitative descriptive to determine the use of interactive media in learning in elementary schools. The results of the study show that the application of the interactive learning model in schools is carried out quite optimally and has contributed positively to improving students' reading and writing skills. Schools that implement an interactive learning model carry out teacher training, and provide facilities to support the implementation of the program.

Abstract

Representation is the use of signs that can be symbolized by image, writing, and sound. Representation is related to culture and there are tools to represent culture, through films, which is the Kung Fu Panda 4 movie. The purpose of this research is to determine the represent ation of Chinese culture in the Kung Fu Panda 4 movie. The method used is descriptive qualitative with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis and observation techniques in the Kung Fu Panda 4 movie. The research results show the strong Chinese culture in the Kung Fu Panda 4 movie, which is packaged in a sign and symbol, and the meaning of cultural symbols can be found.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the structure and rules of language in writing procedural texts for class VII students at MTs Muhammadiyah Gorontalo City in the 2023/2024 academic year using a quantitative descriptive approach. Based on the results of the analysis of the structure and language rules of procedural texts, it was found that out of a total of 43 students, there were 32 students who succeeded in achieving a score between 75-100, while 11 students obtained a score between 60-74 and did not meet the ability standards. Overall, the research results show that most of the seventh grade students at MTs Muhammadiyah Gorontalo City have good abilities in writing procedural texts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of halal tourism on visitor satisfaction and interest in visiting again, with a case study in Bandung City. Halal tourism is a tourism concept that meets halal requirements, not only on food, but also on all aspects of services and facilitiesThe method used in this study is quantitative, with primary data collection through questionnaires distributed to visitors at several halal tourist sites in Bandung. Respondents in this study were tourists who visited these locations. Data analysis is done using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS), which helps in testing and analyzing relationships between variables. The results of the study show that aspects of halal tourism in Bandung, such as the availability of halal food, worship facilities, and services that are in accordance with Islamic principles, have a significant influence on visitor satisfaction. This has a positive effect on the interest of visitors. to revisit the tourist site. This shows that a satisfactory halal tourism experience can encourage tourists to make repeat visits his has a positive effect on the interest of visitors to revisit the tourist site. These findings have important implications for tourism developers and city governments, particularly in terms of halal tourism development strategies. Abstract

Learning about traditions is of course important so as not to lose existing culture and to be able to maintain and introduce wider traditions. This research aims to examine the tradition of weighing the bride and groom in the marriage customs of the Sekernan Muaro Jambi community and its relevance in learning history. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Based on this research, it can be seen that the tradition of weighing the bride is a tradition passed down from generation to generation and is very closely related to the social life of the community and there are local wisdom values ​​in each implementation.
