Abstract

Nurse's work performance is one of the important indicators in assessing the quality and service standard in hospitals and clinics. Various studies state that conflict management and work motivation are factors that influence nurse's work performance in healthcare. This study aims to determine the effect of conflict management and work motivation on nurse's work performance at Clinic X, Bandung. This explanatory research uses a quantitative approach. The population and sample size consist of 34 nurses, taken using total sampling methods. Data was processed statistically using IBM SPSS application, which includes validity, reliability, normality, and heteroscedasticity tests. Hypothesis test was conducted using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that conflict management did not have a significant effect on nurse's work performance. Work motivation, however, has a significant effect on nurse's work performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility and leverage on firm value, with profitability as a moderating variable, in coal mining subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. This study is motivated by the phenomenon of weak firm value in the coal mining sector and the inconsistency of previous research results regarding the influence of CSR, leverage, and profitability on firm value. This study uses Signaling Theory as a theoretical basis to explain the relationship between the research variables. The research method used is a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of financial reports and company annual reports. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling method, resulting in 18 companies as research samples with a total of 90 observations during the study period. Data analysis techniques used include descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results show that Corporate Social Responsibility has a significant negative effect on firm value. Leverage does not have a significant effect on firm value. Profitability is unable to moderate the effect of CSR on firm value. However, profitability is able to moderate and strengthen the effect of leverage on firm value. The results of this study indicate that investors in the coal mining sector tend to consider a company's ability to generate profits and manage its funding structure more than CSR when assessing a company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of education funding allocation on educational inequality, with poverty rates and gender gap as control variables, in the least developed, frontier, and outermost regions of East Nusa Tenggara during the 2018-2024 period. The research data are secondary, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and the Regional Education Balance Sheet, and are in panel form. This study uses panel-data regression analysis with a fixed-effects approach and quantile regression. The results show that although the allocation of education funding reduces educational inequality, it has no effect on the moderate inequality group. Meanwhile, poverty rates have a positive effect on educational inequality in both moderate and extreme groups. The gender gap has no effect on educational inequality, but in the moderate education inequality group, it has a positive effect on educational inequality in the least developed, frontier, and outermost regions of East Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility and capital structure on firm value, with profitability as a moderating variable, in companies in the Property and Real Estate subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019–2023 period. This study employed a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from company financial reports. Purposive sampling was used to select 16 companies with a total of 75 observations after removing outliers. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis using SPSS. The results indicate that CSR has a negative and significant effect on firm value, while capital structure has a positive and significant effect. Furthermore, profitability has been shown to strengthen the influence of CSR on firm value, but it cannot moderate the effect of capital structure on firm value. The findings of this study indicate that investors still view CSR activities as a cost burden if not balanced by a high level of profitability. Meanwhile, an optimal capital structure can increase firm value because it provides investors with confidence in the company's ability to manage funding sources effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Business Capital Scholarship Program as a form of productive Islamic philanthropy in the economic empowerment of students at Al-Falah Assunniyah University Kencong. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving the Vice Rector III as the main informant and students receiving the Business Capital Scholarship Program. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity tested using source triangulation and methodological triangulation. The research findings indicate that the Business Capital Scholarship Program is not only used as financial assistance, but also plays a role in empowering students' economics by strengthening their existing productive businesses. Assistance is provided flexibly according to students' business needs, both in the form of cash and productive assets. This program contributes to increasing business capacity and sustainability, and helps meet students' educational needs during their studies. In addition, the distribution of assistance is influenced by social capital in the form of social networks and trust within the campus environment. A trust-based approach allows students to manage business capital assistance with a greater emphasis on business development rather than strict administrative oversight. The findings of this study indicate that the integration of productive Islamic philanthropy, social capital, and a trust-based approach can be an alternative model for student economic empowerment in higher education institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation of rice field pawn practices in Wringinagung Village, Jombang District, through the perspective of Hanafi Islamic jurisprudence. The study is motivated by the continued existence of rice field pawning among rural communities as a form of informal financial solution to fulfill urgent economic needs. In its implementation, the management rights over the rice fields are transferred to the creditor until the debt is fully repaid, while the agricultural yields are utilized by the creditor. This study applied a qualitative field research method using juridical-normative and sociological approaches. Primary data were collected through interviews with rahin, murtahin, and local community leaders, while secondary data were obtained from Hanafi fiqh literature, academic journals, and other related references. Data collection techniques involved interviews, observation, and documentation, followed by descriptive-analytical analysis. The findings reveal that the practice of rice field pawning in Wringinagung Village is predominantly based on mutual trust and customary traditions without written agreements or clear time limitations. From the Hanafi fiqh perspective, the rahn contract is legally permissible; however, the use of pawned property by the creditor should not result in injustice or unilateral benefit. The absence of clear contractual arrangements and the full utilization of harvest yields by the creditor may contradict the principles of justice and legal certainty in Islamic law. Therefore, improvements in the implementation mechanism are necessary so that rice field pawning practices align with the values of justice, public benefit, and sharia principles.

Abstract

Instagram has fundamentally transformed how halal cosmetic brands build identity and consumer trust in the world's largest Muslim market. This study investigates the mechanisms through which Wardah constructs its Muslimah beauty brand image via Instagram, integrating consumer, industry practitioner, and sales personnel perspectives. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivism paradigm, data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight purposively selected informants comprising five active consumers, one professional make-up artist, one Wardah Beauty Agent, and one sales person. Source triangulation ensured data validity. Three primary mechanisms were identified: aesthetically consistent visual content communicating halal, modern, and inspirational values; responsive two-way interaction fostering consumer trust and loyalty; and strategic collaboration with hijab-wearing influencers reinforcing brand authenticity. The consistency between digital brand image and real-world product experience proves foundational to Wardah's brand equity. This study contributes to the literature on integrated marketing communication strategies of halal brands in emerging markets, and identifies a fourth dimension of brand image-religious image as cultural identity-beyond Biel's classical framework.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of employee mindfulness on work engagement with self-efficacy as a mediating variable in Bank Nagari Padang employees. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data were collected from 159 respondents through questionnaires and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling method. The results of the study indicate that employee mindfulness has a positive and significant effect on work engagement, employee mindfulness has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on work engagement, and self-efficacy is able to mediate the effect of employee mindfulness on work engagement. This study is supported by Job Demands-Resources Theory which explains that personal resources owned by individuals, such as employee mindfulness and self-efficacy, can increase work motivation and employee engagement in work. In addition, Conservation of Resources Theory explains that individuals who have good psychological resources tend to be able to develop other resources, resulting in more positive work conditions. In this study, employee mindfulness helps increase employee self-efficacy, which ultimately encourages increased work engagement among Bank Nagari Padang employees.
