Abstract

Students in elementary school really need the right motor skill development process in order to get an optimal level of development. Development can be done properly if the teacher already knows the level of students' basic motor skills. The purpose of this study was to improve children's motor skills with a focus on body proficient abilities in fifth grade students of SD Namira Kraksaan. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach to 20 students. The study used three test items to determine the motoric development of students, including sitting up, long jump, and sit-ups. The results of the first session of the study showed that there was 1 student who did not pass the sit-up test. The treatment given is focused on the sit-up test, which is doing the sit-up steps correctly. The conclusion of this study is that the application of sit-up learning activities can support the completeness of students' motor development test results.

Abstract

Scouting programs in elementary schools play an important role in developing students' character and soft skills, including communication, cooperation, leadership, and responsibility. This study analyzed the impact of scouting activities on students' soft skills using a descriptive qualitative approach, involving two students and one teacher. Data were obtained through interviews and observations. The results showed an increase in communication skills (87.5%), cooperation (80%), and responsibility (95%). Students were active in activities such as team games and received positive responses from teachers, who noted increased discipline and cooperation. Limitations of the study include the small sample size and short observations. Further research is expected to expand the sample and duration of observations to understand the long-term impact. In conclusion, scouting is effective in improving soft skills and requires support from schools and parents to optimize student development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe planning and implementation planning an independent attitude development program for scouts its members and carry out planning and development of independence the vigilant attitude of the scout members. Approach and type of research used qualitative descriptive. The data sources for this research are the school principal, scout leader and students of SDN 1 Kromengan, Malang Regency. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation with data credibility testing through extended observations, member checks and triangulation. The results of this research are the process of planning scouting activities in developing independence scout members' alert attitude, coaches plan their development independent attitude through integrating attitudes within and designing an attitude habituation program. Assessment to knowing the development of students' independent behavior using behavior assessment and behavior journal.

Abstract

Reading comprehension ability is the key to success in education. Good reading comprehension ability can help students deeply understand the contents of a reading so that students' knowledge can develop. Elementary school teachers have an important role in teaching students and instilling the foundation of this reading skill at an early level. However, before being able to pursue reading skills, as individuals, teachers must also have good reading skills. This study aims to describe the reading comprehension ability of prospective elementary school teachers. The study was conducted by providing a reading comprehension ability test consisting of 40 objective questions. The questions compiled revealed 3 levels of reading ability, namely factual, interpretive and applicable. The test result data were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that the reading comprehension ability of prospective elementary school teachers was included in the good category with a score of 77.5 (out of 100). Furthermore, factual and interpretive reading abilities were included in the good category with scores of 75 and 73.5 respectively. While the aspect of students' applicable reading ability was included in the very good category with a score of 88.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in students' initial reading skills by applying the Sramble learning model assisted by the Smart Reading Board Media with the institution's word method in class I SD Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted in May 2019. With a population of students in grade I of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan and the sample consisted of two classes, namely class I (Al-Furqon) as an experimental class and class I (Al-Fatihah) as a control class. The technique in taking the sample used is Random Sampling. The research data were processed with the help of SPSS V.21 for Windows Software. The results showed that there were no differences in the results of initial reading ability by applying the Scramble Type Cooperative Learning Model aided by the Smart Reading Board Media with the Institution Word Method. The results of the Independent Sample T-test on students' initial reading ability were obtained tcount = 0,037 at the 0,05 significance level and df = 53, obtained ttable = 2,01 means tcount ? ttable. This it can be concluded that there is no difference in the ability to read the beginning of students by applying the Sramble learning model assisted by the Smart Reading Board Media with the Institution Word Method in Grade I students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers in building Students' character at SMAN 14 Makassar. The issues addressed include the lack of internalization of character values such as honesty, responsibility, and discipline, as well as low student participation in counseling activities. The research aims to explore the roles and strategies of BK teachers in supporting students' character development. A qualitative descriptive approach is used to naturally depict phenomena through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that BK teachers play a strategic role through mentoring programs, soft skills training, and discussion groups, which positively impact students' discipline, honesty, and responsibility. However, challenges such as low student participation and limited parental support remain prevalent. This study recommends empowering collaboration with parents and the community, as well as enhancing student engagement in counseling programs.

Abstract

The urgency of instilling religious character has become increasingly critical due to the moral decline observed among Indonesia's younger generation, including disobedience to religious teachings, dishonesty, and a lack of respect for others, including teachers. Religious character is expected to provide a solution by shaping students to possess strong and virtuous morals. This study aims to describe the implementation of religious character values at SD IT Rabbani in Bone Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques involved observation and interviews, validated through triangulation. The results of the study show that SD IT Rabbani successfully integrates religious values through various activities such as tahfidz Al-Qur'an, daily worship habits, and literacy programs. The tahfidz Al-Qur'an program helps students love and memorize the Qur'an using systematic and enjoyable methods. Daily worship habits foster positive habits, discipline, and spiritual calm among students.

Abstract

Early reading and writing skills are initial abilities that must be mastered by lower-grade students. But in reality, second-grade elementary school students still have low initial reading and writing skills. This is evidenced by students who have not mastered punctuation, have unclear pronunciation, still repeating words in reading, and have not paid attention to neatness in writing. So a media is needed that can help solve these problems. This research develops E-Book Creator media to improve the initial reading and writing skills of elementary school grade II students. This research uses the ADDIE development model. Based on the results of validation, the E-Book Creator media is declared very valid for use. Based on the results of the differential test, there was an improvement in reading and writing skills starting with this media. Furthermore, based on the results of the N-Gain test, which is included in the effective category, so the use of E-Book Creator is effective in improving students' initial reading and writing skills.

Abstract

The use of innovative learning media is still especially in elementary school (SD). This will address the problem in Social Science (IPS) which until now still assumed as a tedious lesson and demands memorization, as well as less material in accordance with the development of society again. The solution is to develop Digital Storytelling or known in the Indonesian language as a digital fairy tale. The use of Digital Storytelling for IPS in elementary school, which is one of the objectives is to develop affective aspects of students, will give the meaning that IPS as a subject that is able to improve students' feelings about acceptance, response, assessment, and character development. For students, Digital Storytelling will attract attention so that will be more motivated to learn IPS. Students need to be trained as early as possible in the future to be able to have a high understanding and empathy in facing social problems in their environment.
