Abstract

This study aims to describe urgency need assessment in improving the performance counselors and describe the skills of counselors in conducting need assessments. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population 330 people. The sample in this study amounted to 100 people who were taken by simple random sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that 59% of BK teachers are skilled in the implementation and praxis of need assessment. However, there are 39% of BK teachers who are not yet skilled in the implementation and praxis of need assessment. In fact, there are still 2% of teachers who are not skilled in this matter. In addition, the program prepared by the counselor only reflects routine activities as a requirement to fulfill administrative completeness, not a reflection of the professional views, attitudes, and beliefs of the counselor regarding the purpose of service implementation, especially to students as service targets. The solution offered to deal with the problem of lack of counselor skills in the implementation and praxis of this need assessment is through socialization in the form of in-service training related to the importance of need assessment as the basis for making BK programs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional regulation training and meditation on improving the subjective well-being of adolescent victims of the Lombok earthquake. The subjects in this study were 26 youth victims of the Lombok earthquake. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a difference in the subjective well-being of earthquake victims who attended training on emotion regulation and meditation with earthquake victims who did not take emotional regulation and meditation training. The research design used is the control group design. Quantitative analysis used an independent sample t-test to determine whether or not there was an effect of emotional regulation training and meditation on improving subjective well-being in the experimental group that was given training on emotion regulation and meditation and the control group who was not given emotional regulation and meditation training. The results of the study, in the form of all aspects of subjective well-being, showed a very significant difference, earthquake victims in the control group and the experimental group were given treatment with a subjective welfare final test score in the form of life satisfaction with a value of p=0.003 (P<0.01) positive affect with a value of p=0.003 (P<0.01) and negative affect with a value of P=0.003 (P<0.01).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenon of the practice of calculating weton which is still carried out in the village of Sepande in relation to the values ??of marriage guidance and counseling. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis. This study concludes that the calculation of weton for a mate comes from the sum of the neptu days and the market for each prospective bride and groom. However, in today's society it is not as extreme as it used to be, if the weton between men and women do not have compatibility, then both of them have to separate and find another partner. The calculation of weton is only one of the considerations beyond bibit, bebet and bobot factors whether they will continue the marriage or not. Calculation of weton in the village of Sepande is not like in the past because times have changed. The values ??of marriage counseling have been included in the community tradition so that the weton calculation is considered as advice to be careful when getting married in the future.

Abstract

Online learning for students has an impact on the tendency to delay or not do an assignment. This is an indication of procrastination behavior. Procrastination behavior in general is a behavior to do a task when Injury time or task collection limit. This will make procrastinators feel panicked. This feeling of panic can cause students to make bad decisions, namely to commit academic dishonesty. This study aims to describe the characteristics of students in doing academic procrastination during online learning. The research method uses qualitative research, data collection techniques using online google forms. The results of this study indicate that students during online learning do a lot of academic procrastination among: first, delaying assignments in the hope of getting more time to complete academic assignments 1.3%, second, assignments given by lecturers are too difficult 2.7%, third, difficult to find material 14.7%, fourth, difficult to get a wifi signal 20%, fifth, boring lecturer teaching methods 26.7%, sixth, poor time management 10.7%, seventh, attaching importance to other things 5.3%, eighth, helping parents at home 18.7%.

Abstract

Abstract: Online learning is a scenario designed by the Ministry of Education and Culture in anticipating the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak and is a challenge for everyone to adapt to the new learning model. The online learning process has an impact on elementary school students in the form of academic stress. Stress has become a regular and unavoidable part of life. Stress can be felt by everyone and in unspecified places, such as at home, school, work, and society. This study uses a qualitative method by conducting a case study. Taking research subjects using the purposive sampling technique. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and recording. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data visualization, verification and drawing conclusions. Researchers use triangulation to see the validity of the data. The results of the study indicate that the online learning method is not sufficient to provide good habituation to elementary school students, with the large number of assignments given and the short collection deadline can cause stress to students

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to investigate bibliotherapy services in improving children’s motivation who suffer from chronic illness. The argument in the study asserted that bibliotherapy has a positive effect on children. This is eventually an indication that change of condition improved as shown by the children with chronic illness at Rumah Harapan Indonesia (RHI) Bandung. Participants in this study consist of 10 children with chronic disease who are from out of town to consciously seek medical treatment and stay at RHI. With the use of the descriptive qualitative method, this study inferred that bibliotherapy not only helped heal the children who had difficulty in socializing with peers, feeling tired, bored with circumstances, despair, fear, and experiencing slow growth and development, but also made them have emotional and mental maturity. This research significantly contributes to the further development of some innovative ways to optimize bibliotherapy services for children with chronic diseases.

Abstract

The pandemic has implications for policy changes in Indonesia, especially in the field of education. Face-to-face learning is then transformed into online learning through learning from home policies. Unfortunately, online learning carried out by students has various challenges, so academic resilience is needed. This study aims to analyze how students own academic resilience and how social support performs a role in online learning. This study utilizes a literature study approach by collecting data from various journals, government websites, books, and appropriate references. The analysis results explain that the academic resilience of students in online learning during the pandemic is at the lower middle level. This level means that students cannot maximize online learning during a pandemic. Furthermore, social support variables enhance students’ academic resilience so that social support through various sources will affect students’ academic success during online learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine self-management techniques in group counseling to reduce student procrastination. This study uses a pre-experimental design one group pre-test-pot-stest design method . In practice, the experimental group was given treatment in four group counselling sessions using self-management techniques. Determination of the subject of this study using purposive sampling technique, the subjects in this study were students in the village of Sorosutan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta. The students who became the sample were 6 people with a high level of academic procrastination. The instrument used in this study used a Likert scale consisting of 39 valid items with reliability showing that the r alpha for the academic procrastination variable was 0.869. The analysis technique used descriptive statistical data analysis. The results of the research hypothesis show that the value of Sig (0.000) < (0.05) , which means that there is a difference in students' academic procrastination scores between before and after being given self-management techniques in group counseling , which means that self-management techniques in group counseling are effective for reduce student academic procrastination in Sorosutan Umbulharjo village, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Developmental tasks are one of the requirements that must be met to achieve maturity in adolescents both in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. However, the emergence of anxiety in adolescents as the introductory stimulus to negative behaviours becomes an obstacle in achieving these developmental tasks. This study aims to reveal how self-control plays a role in suppressing aspects of anxiety that exist in adolescents through treatment in the form of training. This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The design and test of data analysis used paired statistical test of sample t-test on the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group and the control group. Respondents in this study amounted to 24 teenagers. Measurements were made through a psychological scale instrument on the aspect of anxiety. Based on statistical tests, it was found that the conditions for H0 were rejected and H1 was accepted, which means that there is a difference in anxiety in adolescents before and after treatment or self-control training.

Abstract

Kajian ini mempertegas peran dan fungsi Penyuluh Agama Islam sebagai informator, edukator, advokat dan konselor masyarakat. Penegasan peran ini dibuktikan dengan signifikansinya peran dan fungsi Penyuluh Agama Islam di Kota Mataram sebagai Double Function (Fungsi Ganda); Realitas aktivitas penyuluh agama Islam (PAI) dalam memberikan pelayanan dan pembimbingan terhadap masyarakat di Kota Mataram terlihat pada dua sisi: 1).Fungsional sebagai pegawai negeri dengan menjalankan rutinitas sebagai Penyuluh Agama Islam bersifat konvensional, berbasis laporan kinerja, berbasis angka kredit Penyuluh. 2).Komponen masyarakat, Penyuluh Agama Islam sebagai tokoh agama non-formal yang melalukan aktivitas keagamaan di mejelis pengajian yang diasuhnya. Secara de facto, Penyuluh Agama Islam sejauh ini masih dihadapkan pada sejumlah problem seperti: budaya kerja lemah, pengetahuan dan kesadaran terhadap tugas dan misi institusi masih kurang, sikap amanah dan saling percaya (trust) lemah, budaya pamrih berlebihan, orientasi pada pencapaian hasil dalam pelaksanaan tugas masih kurang, kurang orientasi pada kepuasan jama’ah sasaran/binaan (customer) dan minat untuk meningkatkan SDM Penyuluh melalui studi lanjut, tetapi belum diikuti kebijakan pemerintah untuk memberikan beasiswa, dan pemanfaatan informasi baru dalam pelaksanaan tugas masih rendah dan Penyuluh Agama Islam tidak memiliki induk yang jelas sehingga harus bernaung di KUA Kecamatan. Upaya strategis untuk memperkuat tugas dan fungsi Penyuluh Agama dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosio kultural, psikologis, psycho religio dan politis. Realitas ini membuktikan bahwa peran Penyuluh agama Islam (PAI) sangat strategis sehingga perlu ada affirmative action pemerintah dalam hal ini Kanwil kementerian agama untuk memberikan peran dan support yang progresif kepada Penyuluh Agama Islam.
