Abstract

Children with special needs (ABK) are children with special characteristics that are different from children in general without always showing mental, emotional or physical disabilities. Children with special needs are children who experience significant abnormalities/deviations (physical, mental-intellectual, social, and emotional) in their growth and development process compared to other children of the same age so that they require special education services. Children with Special Needs (ABK) is another term to replace the word "Extraordinary Children (ALB)" which indicates a special disorder. Children with special needs have different characteristics from one to another. Because of the characteristics and barriers they have, ABK requires a form of special education services that are tailored to their abilities and potential, for example for the blind they need to modify reading texts into Braille and the deaf communicate using sign language. Children with special needs usually attend special schools (SLB) according to their respective specialties. SLB section A for the blind, SLB section B for the hearing impaired, SLB section C for the mentally impaired, SLB section D for the quadriplegic, SLB section E for the hearing impaired and SLB section G for multiple disabilities. Every child with special needs has different characteristics from one to another, therefore it is important to carry out identification and assessment activities to identify their characteristics and needs.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the Moodle LMS-based blended problem-based learning model which has an effect in improving student learning outcomes and motivation and differences in student learning outcomes and motivation provided by blended problem-based learning model learning based on Moodle LMS with students following a blended learning model. The research design carried out is quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The research sample consisted of class A as many as 34 people as an experimental class and class D as many as 33 people as a control class. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The results of the study explained that the inferential h asil análisis with the paired simple t test explained that the t-count value is greater than the t-table with a sig value smaller than 0.05 which means that the implementation of a blended problem-based learning model can help increase student learning outcomes and motivation. In addition, the results of the independent simple t test explained that the t-count value is greater than the t-table with a sig value smaller than 0.05 which is meaningful, namely the results and learning motivation of experimental class students have significant differences with control class students.

Abstract

The 21st Century educational paradigm requires students to have various life skills in dealing with the information and digital era. Scientific literacy and quantitative skills are important for students to have as life skills. Scientific literacy helps students develop cognitive reasoning and scientific attitudes. This competency assists students in processing information, building arguments, and formulating solutions regarding natural processes around them. Most of the latest information from all aspects of life is presented in quantitative form. Therefore it is necessary for students to have quantitative skills in responding to challenges in the 21st century that will work a lot with quantitative data. Graphing skill is an intersection of scientific literacy and quantitative skills. Through graphing skills students have competency in understanding, criticizing, and constructing graphs. Understanding scientific information from graphs is the first step for students to solve scientific problems and transfer scientific information. Low Graphing skills become a hindering factor for students in learning scientific concepts. Therefore, this study was proposed with the aim of examining the graphing skill profile of students which includes the ability to understand, criticize, and construct graphs. This research is expected to present initial data that can be used as a reference in developing a learning activity that can develop students' graphing skills. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The population of this study were all students of 10th grade from 23 public high schools in Makassar City. To determine the schools to be sampled, simple random sampling technique was used. Respondents for each school in this study were determined as much as 10% of the number of 10th grade students who were randomly selected. Data collection was carried out using a Graphing Inventory which was modified into Indonesian which was then tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive analysis.

Abstract

Orang tua tunggal ialah orang tua yang hidup sendiri tanpa adanya dampingan dari suami/istri, dalam membesarkan anak dalam satu rumah karena salah satu dari orang tua meninggal, bercerai, pekerjaan yang jauh, sehingga hanya satu orang tua yang berperan ganda baik sebagai ayah sekaligus sebagai ibu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan anak baik kebutuhan jasmani, rohani, maupun pendidikan. Pendampingan merupakan salah satu bentuk pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh Majelis Gereja kepada warga jemaatnya yang mengalami pergumulan hidup, secara hususnya pendampingan bagi perempuan sebagai orang tua tunggal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jemaat Sin Pararra’ Klasis Seriti, yang dalam merampungkan penulisan, metode yang digunakan ialah metode kepustakaan yakni mencari sumebr referensi yang berkaitan yang berkaitan dengan topik yang diteliti. Selain itu penulis juga terjun langsung ke lapangan untuk melakukan observasi dan wawancara secara langsung dengan responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa majelis gereja telah melakukan pendampingan kepada perempuan sebagai orang tua tunggal. Sekalipun demikian pendampingan yang dilakukan belum maksimal karena baru bersifat normatf. Kesimpulan umum yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya pendampingan maka perempuan sebagai orang tua tunggal dapat keringanan beban hidup serta merasakan kehidupan yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya. Melalui penguatan yang diperoleh melalui pendampingan, mereka dimampukan mengambil keputussan dalam menjalani kehidupan yang lebih baik dan bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to examined the learning of writing descriptions text by using the model of learning pictures and pictures of students’ class X in SMA Negeri 3 Makassar and proved the effectiveness of contextual learning model type inquiry in writing description text of students’ class X in SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. The type of this research was a quasi-experimental design. This research used Pretest-Posttest Control Group design, using experimental group and control group. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 3 Makassar. The population in this study were all students of Class X which were 246 students. Sampling was done by Random Sampling or random grouping. The selected sample was Class X1 as the experiment class that matches 29 students and class X2 as the control class. The collected data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Statistical analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical techniques and inferential analysis (parametric). The results showed that students' ability in experimental class in applying contextual learning model of inquiry type showed very good result. Students able to obtain interval value of 90-100 that is equal to 10,3% or as many as 3 students, interval value of 80-89 that is equal to 69% or as many as 20 students and that there is interval value of 65-79 that is equal to 20,7% or as many as 6 students. Students' ability in control class in writing description text by applying picture and picture model shows inadequate result. Students who achieve and are in the interval value of 80-89 of 10.3% or as many as 3 students and who are at the interval value of 65-79 that is 89.7% or as many as 26 students. Thus, based on the results of these studies, it shows that the use of inquiry-type contextual models is effectively applied in the learning of writing descriptive text. This is shown in the result of hypothesis test using inferential statistics analysis of test type tt independent samples test obtained t-count equal to -6,954 and t-table equal to 2,003 because t-count value> t-table, then null hypothesis (H0) rejected and alternative hypothesis (H1) accepted. This shows that the inquiry model of inquiry type is effectively applied in learning text writing description of students’ class X in SMA Negeri 3 Makassar

Abstract

The influence of Cooperative Learning Model Bamboo Dancing Type on the interest in learning Indonesian language on folklore material in class V students of 27 Bulu Dua Elementary School Soppeng District. Whether there is any influence of Cooperative Learning Model Bamboo Dancing Type on the Interest of Learning Indonesian Language in Grade V Students of 27 Bulu Dua Elementary School in Soppeng District. The type of research used in this study was quantitative research with the research design is Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research instruments used in this study were questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the cooperative dancing model bamboo dancing type, material in folktales has an influence on the interest in learning Indonesian in class V students of 27 Bulu Dua Elementary School in Soppeng District. This can be seen from the results of inferential analysis for interest in learning, from the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test data, namely 15.03 and t-table 1.72, then t-Calculate> t –table = 15.03> 1.72, the difference between the results of the pretest and posttest is significant, and it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hı is accepted means that the hypothesis in this study is accepted namely there is the influence of Cooperative Learning Model Bamboo Dancing Type on the interest in learning Indonesian language on folklore material in class V students of 27 Bulu Dua Elementary School Soppeng District

Abstract

Pemali mixing food in the ritual of rambu tuka' and rambu solo' is a ritual that is still accepted and maintained in Toraja society until now. The purpose of the study was to find out the meaning of education and the application of Pemali to mix food from the Rambu Tuka' and Rambu Solo' rituals in the life of the congregation. The method used to obtain information for this research is qualitative research through library research techniques, observation, as well as field research, in which the data that the authors get in the field are presented as they are. The results of this study, the authors prove that the meaning of education and the application of pemali to mix food from the Rambu Tuka' and Rambu Solo' ceremonies and its implications for the Toraja people, where in the meaning of pemali it turns out to contain the meaning of education which is to teach the values of obedience to grandmother's customs. Toraja people lead a harmonious life, but also as an effort to preserve these customs so that it is very important to carry out traditional education for the next generation. Pemali's mixing of food from the Rambu Tuka' and Rambu Solo' ceremonies turned out to be understood as a legacy from Aluk Todolo but has also been interpreted in the Christian sense as a traditional heritage in religious symbols that need to be preserved and preserved..

Abstract

Switching languages from one language to a different one has using by those who understand two or more languages. It then becomes a trend either in bilingual or multilingual society specifically in Indonesia. The aim of this study are to discover and analyze the types of code switching used by the selected professions in talk shows and reasons of those selected professions using code switching in their utterances. The data sources used in this study are selected talk show videos on YouTube. The data were obtained by downloading, transcribing, highlighting the utterances, and underlying the English phrases, clauses, or words. The writer used qualitative descriptive method and used Charlotte Hoffmann’s theory in analyzing the data. The results of this study showed that there were 3 types of types of code switching used by the selected professions, they are intrasentential, intersentential, and emblematic switching. There were also 5 reasons found why those selected professions using code switching in their utterances. They were talking about particular topic, quoting somebody else’s statements, being emphatic about something, interjection, and repetition used for clarification. The reasons of express group identity and clarifying the speech content for the interlocutor are not found

Abstract

Creating a student-oriented and enjoyable teaching and learning process is the task of all teachers and educators. The presence of various learning methods and strategies is inseparable from the participation of researchers who continue to strive to present learning activities that are active, creative and fun. One of them is the application of PAIKEM in the teaching and learning process in the classroom, although not all classes benefit from this method, it takes in-depth and measurable observation to find out. This study aims to determine the implementation of PAIKEM learning at Al-Azhar 12 Islamic High School Makassar and student learning outcomes with the application of PAIKEM. In addition, researchers also analyzed the level of correlation between PAIKEM learning and student learning outcomes at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 12 Makassar. This research is an ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all students at SMA Islam Al-Azhar 12 Makassar. Sampling was carried out by proportional sampling and selected class X and class XI as research samples with the independent variable being PAIKEM learning and the dependent variable being the results of learning Al-Quran education for Al-Azhar 12 Islamic High School Makassar students. Hypothesis testing was carried out with the Excel program using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (product moment simple regression correlation). The results showed that: (1) the implementation of PAIKEM learning at Al-Azhar 12 Islamic High School Makassar was classified as good with an average score of PAIKEM learning outcomes of 80.27. (2) student learning outcomes at AMA Islam Al-Azhar 12 Makassar are in the good category with an average student learning outcome of 79.96. (3) PAIKEM learning is significantly correlated with student learning outcomes in Al-Azhar 12 Islamic High School Makassar with rcount 0.9 > rtable 0.294 and the strength of the relationship between PAIKEM learning and learning outcomes is 81%. With these results, of course, it will be a guide for teachers and future researchers, especially in the field of education

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi merupakan salah satu faktor yang ikut serta mempengaruhi perilaku peserta didik dalam belajar. Dalam Penelitian ini, penulis mencoba untuk membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik bagi siswa dan bisa digunakan tidak hanya pada jam pelajaran tetapi dimanapun dan kapanpun mereka dapat mengaksesmya. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan yaitu Website. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan Model Pembelajaran berbasis Digital Content (Digital Content Assisted Language Learning) dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis website. Penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development dengan menggunakan ADDIE Model. Populasi dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA di Kabupaten Tanah Toraja pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Prosedur pengembangan dibagi dalam lima tahap yaitu 1) Tahap analisis berupa studi pustaka dan studi lapangan dan Analisis kebutuhan, 2) Tahap desain, 3) Tahap pengembangan, 4) Tahap implementasi dan 5) Tahap Evaluasi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan dokumentasi dan angket yang dianalisa secara deskriptif dan statistik inferensial melalui program SPSS versi 22 untuk Windows. Hasil penelitian ini guru dapat menerapkan atau menggunakan media pembelajaran yang sesuai perkembangan zaman yaitu berbasis website yang dapat diakses oleh siswa bukan hanya dikelas melaikan dimana saja dan kapan saja. Dengan adanya Media pembelajaran berbasis website tersebut diiharapkan budaya literasi mahasiswa juga dapat meningkat
