Abstract

Teenagers are known as trendsetters who can quickly follow the latest trends and become a very easily influenced group. Teenagers often purchase attractive products impulsively and only follow their peers in their group and environment. Impulsive buying is the emergence of a sudden urge and a solid feeling to buy without any pre-planned purchases. This study aims to determine the relationship between conformity and impulsive buying among adolescents in Makassar City. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between unity and impulsive buying among adolescents in Makassar City. The results showed a significance value of 0.049 and a correlation coefficient of 0.198, which means there is a weak and positive relationship between conformity and impulsive buying among adolescents in Makassar City. This research was conducted on 100 young girls and boys aged 13-18 with a peer group and teenagers living in Makassar City.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive research focuses on relative clauses found in the functions of subject, predicate, and object. Relative clauses from "Ragama Permainan dalam Pembelajaran Berbicara BIPA" by Reni Artyana served as the research's source of data. The scientific article by Reni Artyana titled "Ragam Permainan dalam Pembelajaran Berbicara BIPA" that was published online at the ASILE 2014 Conference with a total of 42 pages serves as the research's data source. Reading and taking notes were used as the primary data collection methods. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis, involving data reduction (selection, numbering labels, sorting by focus, and grouping by attributes), data presentation, and formulation of conclusions. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) Of the 40 data, 33 were identified as relative clauses with relativized subject positions. Six different clause patterns are used when using relative clauses: S-P-O, S-P-K, S-P, S-P-Pel, S-P-O-Pel, and S-P-O-K. The application of relative clauses with the S-P-O clause pattern, which relativizes the subject position, was discovered in 8 data, the S-P-K pattern in 9 data, the S-P pattern in 9 data, the S-P-Pel pattern in 2 data, the S-P-O-Pel pattern in 2 data, and the S-P-O-K pattern in 3 data; (2) none of the 40 data were classified as relative clauses with relativized predicate position. There were 2 data that seemed to be relative clauses but weren't; and (3) out of 40 data, 5 were classified as relative clauses with relativized object position. The use of relative clauses has six variations of clause patterns, namely S-P-O (3 data), S-P-Pel (1 data), and S-P-Pel-K (1 data).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the magnitude of the influence of E-learning-based learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on student accounting learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Pangkep. The variables in this study are E-learning-based learning during the Covid-19 pandemic as the independent variable and learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The population in this study were all students of the accounting expertise program at SMK Negeri 1 Pangkep consisting of 144 students. The sampling technique used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a total sample of 59 students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis of percentages, instrument testing and hypothesis testing. Instrument test consists of validity test and reliability test. The hypothesis test consists of simple linear regression analysis, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that students have difficulty learning Myob Accounting online during the Covid-19 pandemic with a fairly high level of difficulty obtained from the indicators, namely technical difficulties with a percentage of 43% which are categorized as quite high, which includes internet signal strength in the high category, limited internet quota with low category and supporting devices with low category. Then the indicator of student adaptation difficulties with a percentage of 57% is categorized as quite high which includes unconducive home conditions in the low category, not used to online learning in the high category, more online assignments in the high category and difficulty dividing time in the sufficient category. The indicator of lecturer unpreparedness with a percentage of 67% is categorized as high which includes explanations that are still lacking in the high category, the limited form of material provided is in the high category and the limited applications used in online learning are in the high category. Furthermore, based on the results of the regression analysis, the simple linear regression equation model Y' = 31.092 + 0.375X means that E-learning-based learning has a positive effect on learning outcomes where each additional value of one independent variable increases the value of the dependent variable by 0.375 units. From the results of the analysis of the coefficient of determination (r = 12.7%, which means that E-learning-based learning contributes to student learning outcomes by 12.7% and the remaining 87.3% is influenced by other factors. Meanwhile, the t-test analysis results obtained a significant value 0.003 <0.05 which means that the independent variable has a significant effect on the dependent variable, thus the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

As English grows as a foreign language in Indonesia, which is rarely used daily, learning strategy training might be one innovation to help students acquire the target language quickly. This study aimed to research the implementation of learning strategy training in English camps and understand the effect of the training on the student’s ability to solve their learning problems, especially in speaking English. It was a qualitative design with a case study approach. This research was conducted in the English village of Kampung Inggris Pare. It limited the investigation of learning strategy training in English boardings or camps. Four participants consisting of three students and one instructor were selected purposely. The data were gathered by conducting direct observations, interviews, and photos. They were then analyzed in six steps starting from preparing raw data materials to interpreting the meaning of the theme into qualitative descriptions. The results show that the instructor trained two domains of students' soft skills: affective and cognitive. From the affective side, the instructor encouraged students' motivation to stay enthusiastic, not hesitate to speak, and are not scared of making mistakes. While from the cognitive side, the instructor trained students to learn English through their hobby or passion, such as through a song or movie for those who love music or watching. In fact, students could find and develop their own learning strategies based on their learning style and "let it flow" without paying more attention of grammar errors. Therefore, this study suggested teachers or instructors approach the students emotionally and train them to learn English with appropriate strategies based on their learning style or passion.
