Abstract

Human Resources are an essential component of every organization. To be successful, an office must have knowledgeable, highly skilled, and committed employees who carry out their duties in the best possible way. Human resources are a source of organizational strength derived from individuals who can be utilized. The efficacy of an organization's employees has a significant impact on its success. This objective is shared by the Population and Civil Registration Office of Buleleng Regency. This research seeks to answer the question, to what extent do burden and normative commitment affect employee performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Buleleng Regency. This study's population consisted of 72 and 33 civil servants, including all employees. This research used 51 respondents through Probability Sampling Technique. The data demonstrates that workload significantly and positively affects productivity. This suggests that employees perform better when their workload is lower, but their performance declines when their workload increases. Similarly, normative commitment exhibits a notable and constructive impact on the performance of employees. This means that if normative commitment is increased, employee performance will follow suit, and conversely, if normative commitment is decreased, employee performance will also decrease.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Air Force (TNI AU), as an integral part of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), is a crucial component of Indonesia's air power. It is essential to enhance the performance of officers, and one way to monitor and evaluate their performance can be seen through the promotion rate. However, there was a decline in officer rank promotions from 2017 to 2019. In 2020, there was an increase, but the difference compared to 2018 was not significant. This indicates a decrease in officer performance from 2017 to 2021. This decline should be a concern for organizational leaders and a target for strategic planning to discover new strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of officer performance. The study examined the impact of transformational leadership and motivation on officer performance through work discipline. The research was quantitative with the population in this study consists of all Indonesian Air Force officers, totaling 10,295. Nonprobability sampling was used and purposive sampling was employed with specific criteria. Based on the calculation used Slovin formula, the sample size was 400 officers. Data analysis used a Structural Equation Model (SEM) framework with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) which is the statistical method employed to analyze the relationships among latent variables within the Structural Equation Model (SEM) framework. The test include measurement and structura model (outer-inner model) and used Smart PLS version 3.2.9 as a tool for analysis. The result from this research found that transformational leadership, motivation, and discipline influence on officer performance, transformational leadership and motivation influence on discipline, and discipline mediate the relationship of transformational leadership and motivation on officer performance. The implication can assist the Air Force in designing better human resource management strategies, improving officer performance, and achieving their operational objectives more effectively.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of perceived trust and perceived ease of use on purchase intent, considering the mediating roles of attitude and perceived usefulness. The research employed a sample of 350 respondents from employees and consumers of Hong Yi Indonesia Ltd in Batam City, utilizing questionnaire distribution and SmartPLS application for data analysis. The findings revealed significant effects of perceived trust, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness on purchase intention. Interestingly, attitude was found to have no direct influence on purchase intention, and it did not mediate the relationship between perceived trust and purchase intention. However, perceived usefulness was identified as a mediator in the connection between perceived ease of use and purchase intention. Moreover, perceived trust was shown to impact attitude, while perceived ease of use influenced perceived usefulness. These results provide valuable insights for companies seeking to enhance consumer purchase intent, emphasizing the importance of trust, ease of use, and perceived usefulness in shaping attitudes and driving purchasing decisions. Companies can utilize these findings for assessment and strategic development, aiming to optimize various aspects of their business to attract and retain consumers.

Abstract

The high rate of youth unemployment in Indonesia is a serious issue that needs to be addressed because it disrupts the national economic resurgence and disrupts the ongoing demographic bonus. Meanwhile, the younger generation is facing changes in the business model in the labor market due to technological advancements and digitalization. This research aims to analyze the impact of digitalization and the Covid-19 pandemic on the youth unemployment rate in Indonesia. The study uses panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia covering the period from 2013 to 2022 and is estimated using the System Generalized Method of Moments (SysGMM) method. The results show that the development of digitalization, proxied by the Information and Communication Technology Development Index (IPTIK), has a positive and significant impact on the increase in youth unemployment. Similarly, the Covid-19 pandemic also has a positive and significant impact on the youth unemployment rate. Digitalization and the Covid-19 pandemic together indicate that the younger generation in Indonesia is vulnerable to economic and technological changes. Therefore, appropriate policies are needed to manage technological developments and address the impact of the pandemic so that the younger generation can be actively involved in the labor market. The results also show that control variables such as economic growth, inflation, and investment have varied effects on youth unemployment. Economic growth has a negative impact, in line with Okun's Law, while inflation does not significantly affect the youth unemployment rate. Investment has a negative and significant impact, indicating that increased investment can reduce youth unemployment in Indonesia.

Abstract

In recent years, Southeast Sulawesi has witnessed significant infrastructure development, which is expected to stimulate economic growth, attract investments, create job opportunities, and improve its residents' overall quality of life. This study seeks to analyze the effect of infrastructure on the economic growth of Southeast Sulawesi from 2010 to 2022. Utilizing secondary data, including the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Southeast Sulawesi and infrastructure indicators such as roads, water, and electricity, Employing a quantitative approach, specifically Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, this research aims to determine the effect of road, water and electricity infrastructure on economic growth in Sulawesi Tenggara. The findings indicate that when analyzed individually, road and electricity infrastructure significantly influence economic growth. Improved road networks facilitate heightened economic activity by promoting the movement of goods and services, enhancing regional connectivity, and improving accessibility. At the same time, electricity infrastructure proves vital in supporting various sectors and activities, thereby contributing to overall economic growth. Surprisingly, the individual analysis of water infrastructure reveals no significant impact on economic growth, possibly attributed to inefficiencies or ineffectiveness in project implementation or management. However, if the influence of road, water and electricity infrastructure is analyzed simultaneously, the impact is positive and significant on economic growth in Southeast Sulawesi. The synergistic presence of these infrastructure components plays a vital role in supporting economic development. Increasing connectivity, increasing accessibility, and simplifying production and distribution activities contribute to attracting investment, growing competitiveness, and ultimately encouraging the economic development of Southeast Sulawesi as a whole.

Abstract

Government procurement is the most vulnerable government activity to corruption, especially in the era of decentralization, which grants local governments the authority to manage their domestic affairs independently. The results of the Financial Audit Agency's (BPK) examination of the Palembang City Government in 2022 revealed indications of price manipulation, specifications favoring specific products and contractors, and goods and services produced not complying with the provisions in the contract. This research aims to formulate an anti-corruption strategy for government procurement based on corruption risk. The methods used in this research include descriptive analysis with a literature review, quantitative analysis using Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation (FSE), and strategy formulation using the Multicriteria Policy (Multipol) method involving government procurement stakeholders. The research findings indicate that the governance of government procurement in Palembang City is still inadequate, with the highest risks being related to implementer integrity, contract execution control, and procurement planning risks. Relevant anti-corruption strategies include the utilization of e-procurement, enhancing human resources and the Procurement Service Unit's (UKPBJ) competence, improving the quality of planning, and strengthening supervision and stakeholder participation.
