Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of macroeconomic factors influencing abnormal returns and the role of investor behavior in shaping them. Utilizing a systematic literature review, the study is based on the identification of 39 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2014 and 2024, ranging from Quartile Q1 to Q4. The review explores prior research on abnormal returns to identify key findings, macroeconomic factors impacting abnormal returns, and the role of investor behavior in their formation. Using the Research Plan Systematic Literature Review menu in the Watase application, the term "Abnormal Return" was used as the keyword to locate relevant articles. The findings categorize the literature into two main groups: macroeconomic factors affecting abnormal returns and the role of investor behavior in shaping them. Macroeconomic factors such as economic growth, inflation, and general economic conditions significantly influence abnormal returns. Favorable economic conditions enhance company performance, thereby impacting abnormal returns. Furthermore, investor behavior plays a pivotal role, with overreaction to market information often causing abnormal returns, while underreaction can influence long-term return patterns. Investor strategies, including momentum and contrarian trading, are influenced by stock network effects. Understanding these behavioral dynamics is essential to analyzing stock market patterns and their implications for abnormal returns.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country with a total area of 189,241,009 hectares with amazing food security potential. The issue of land conversion is a barrier for Indonesia to achieve this potential. Therefore, the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency issued Decree No. 1589/SK-HK.02.01/XII/2021 on the Determination of Protected Paddy Fields Map. The Decree of the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency on Protected Paddy Fields (LSD) is applied to 8 provinces throughout Indonesia, one of which is West Java Province, so Cimahi City also has the responsibility to implement this Protected Paddy Fields (LSD) program. In achieving the objective to see the implementation of Protected Paddy Fields (LSD) in Cimahi City, researchers used land cover analysis, overlay, SWOT. Land cover analysis resulted in a time lapse from 2012 to 2022 with the initial rice field area of 591.89 Ha reduced to 323.63 Ha. The results of the LSD overlay analysis with the Spatial Pattern stated that the LSD that can be maintained is 33.03 Ha. The results of SWOT analysis of X and Y coefficients (2.33, 1.44) on SWOT analysis show that it is located in quadrant I, namely Aggressive, quadrant I provides strict direction that maintaining LSD is mandatory.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of personalized experiences, customer satisfaction, and engagement on customer loyalty among postpaid users of Indosat, one of Indonesia’s leading telecommunications providers. Using a quantitative research design and Smart PLS for analysis, data from 258 respondents reveal that customer engagement is the most significant driver of loyalty, while personalized experiences play a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction. The study also finds that while satisfaction contributes to loyalty, its effect is less pronounced than engagement, highlighting the importance of creating deeper emotional connections to ensure customer retention. Moreover, the moderating effect of combined satisfaction and engagement on loyalty indicates a potential diminishing return when both variables are maximized simultaneously. These findings suggest that Indosat should adopt a balanced approach that integrates personalized marketing with engagement strategies to foster long-term customer loyalty in a highly competitive market. The study contributes to the literature on customer-centric marketing by emphasizing the need for tailored and engaging customer experiences in the telecommunications sector.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between strategic human resource management (SHRM), employee engagement, employee empowerment, and organizational excellence within the context of Hannah Hotel Syariah, a Syariah-compliant hospitality business. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were collected from 50 employees through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The results reveal that SHRM has a significant positive impact on both employee engagement and organizational excellence, with employee engagement playing a critical mediating role between SHRM and organizational outcomes. However, employee empowerment did not have a direct or indirect effect on organizational excellence in this context. These findings highlight the importance of engagement strategies aligned with organizational and religious values in achieving long-term success. The study concludes that SHRM practices that focus on enhancing employee engagement can improve both employee satisfaction and the overall performance of Syariah-compliant organizations.

Abstract

Poverty is a multidimensional issue that reflects the inability of individuals or groups to meet basic needs such as food, education, and healthcare. In East Java, the Covid-19 pandemic exacerbated poverty conditions, significantly increasing unemployment rates and widening disparities between urban and rural areas. This study aims to analyze the impact of Regional Original Revenue (ROR), regional expenditures, labor force participation, and population size on poverty levels in East Java from 2018 to 2022. Using a quantitative method with a panel data approach, the study covers 38 districts/cities. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (CSA) and analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model. The findings reveal that Regional Original Revenue (ROR) does not have a significant effect on poverty levels in East Java. Conversely, regional expenditures and the labor force significantly impact poverty; regional expenditures effectively reduce poverty levels, while the labor force, when not accompanied by job creation, contributes to an increase in poverty. Meanwhile, population size does not show a significant effect on poverty. However, simultaneously, ROR, regional expenditures, labor force, and population size significantly influence poverty levels. Therefore, poverty alleviation in East Java requires integrated policies that include optimizing ROR allocation, improving the efficiency of regional expenditures, creating adequate job opportunities, and managing population growth through education and training. These measures are expected to deliver sustainable long-term impacts.

Abstract

This research explores the factors that influence the intention to use digital payment systems, focusing specifically on the Millennial and Generation Z populations in Bali. By employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the study aims to enhance the existing academic literature on technology acceptance and provide valuable insights into user behavior regarding digital payments. Key constructs such as Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use are analyzed to determine their effects on user adoption. The results indicate that users who perceive digital payment systems as beneficial and easy to use are more inclined to adopt these technologies, which in turn improves their performance and productivity. This research not only contributes to theoretical frameworks but also offers practical implications for businesses aiming to enhance user satisfaction and maintain a competitive edge in the digital payment sector

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Halal Destination Attributes (HDA) and Halal Memorable Tourism Experiences (HMTE) in influencing Halal Destination Loyalty (HDL) within Muslim-friendly nature-based tourism in West Java. The research focuses on exploring the interplay between these factors in shaping loyalty among visitors to the top three Muslim-friendly nature destinations in West Java: Kawah Putih in Bandung Regency, Pantai Balongan Indah in Indramayu Regency, and Sari Ater Hot Spring Resort in Subang Regency. The study employed a quantitative research design. Data were collected using a nonprobability purposive sampling method, targeting individuals who had visited one of the selected destinations at least twice, with their most recent visit occurring within the last 12 months. Using G*Power for sample size calculation, the survey garnered 143 valid responses from an initial target of 107 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results demonstrate that both Halal Destination Attributes and Halal Memorable Tourism Experiences positively and significantly influence Halal Destination Loyalty. Additionally, Halal Destination Attributes are shown to have a significant positive effect on Halal Memorable Tourism Experiences. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing both destination attributes and memorable experiences to foster loyalty among Muslim-friendly nature-based tourism visitors
