Abstract

This research was conducted at a painting gallery in Bali with the aim of finding answers about the adoption of digital transformation in the development of business strategies in the Industrial Era 4.0. The method used is a qualitative method using data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and field observations. Interviews were conducted with 6 informants as gallery owners/managers/staff and gallery visitors. The results found that the digital transformation carried out is still limited using social media for product marketing, AR and VR technology is still very limited considering the cost limitations. Using technology, especially social media, helps marketing effectiveness and expands the market. However, on the one hand, there are concerns that digital transformation will erode the value of traditional arts and culture. So what needs to be emphasized is the proper use of technology to continue to support the introduction of existing art and culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of climate change and irrigation intensity on rice production and grain prices both directly and indirectly. The data analysis method used is Two Stage Least Square (2SLS) with 100 farmer samples. The results of the study showed that climate change had a negative and insignificant effect on rice production, while irrigation intensity had a positive and insignificant effect on rice production, other tests showed that climate change had a significant negative effect on grain prices, while irrigation intensity had a significant positive effect on grain prices. In indirect testing, climate change and irrigation intensity have no effect on grain prices through rice production. The government's role is important in strengthening irrigation systems, making climate change mitigation policies to protect farmers from the impact of extreme weather changes, and formulating policies to maintain grain price stability. Farmers are also expected to optimize irrigation management and use the right rice varieties that are resistant to climate change to increase production productivity.

Abstract

Currently, the transformation of higher education in Indonesia has established a policy called Independent Campus. In supporting this, universities need to prepare learning tools that are reconstructive, flexible and adaptable according to the needs of the world of work. Of course, this is closely related to the concept of Outcome Based Education (OBE). Researchers will develop learning tools for the Entrepreneurship Course in the Physical Education study program at the Muhammadiyah Sorong Education University. The Entrepreneurship course is one of the university's priority programs in preparing graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit. The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes and make the OBE concept a role model in the development of RPS within the Sorong Muhammadiyah University of Education. The research method used is 4D research and development, namely the Define stage, Design stage, Develop stage and Disseminate stage. The research results showed that student learning outcomes increased as measured using the pretest with a percentage of 40.67% and posttest with a percentage of 80.67%. Furthermore, the N-gain analysis obtained an average of 0.67% which is interpreted as the effectiveness of applying the OBE concept in Entrepreneurship courses in the medium category, so it can be concluded that the RPS which has been developed into an outcome based education concept is suitable for application in Entrepreneurship learning in the Physical Education Study Program Sorong Muhammadiyah University of Education.

Abstract

This study explores how performance appraisal affects work motivation, job satisfaction, and performance, utilizing SEM-PLS. The research employed primary data acquired through a questionnaire. Government Valuers at the Directorate General of State Assets Management across Indonesia constitute the research population. The analysis findings conclude that work motivation and job satisfaction mediate the relationship between the performance appraisal system and performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction is a strong predictor of employee performance, making this an exciting consideration for interpretation. Performance appraisal itself does not show a direct relationship with performance. These findings indicate that motivation and job satisfaction are essential factors in performance appraisal that influence the performance of Government Valuers. Developing objective and accurate performance appraisals will improve employee performance while considering work motivation and job satisfaction.

Abstract

Environmental issues occurring in the Asia Pacific region have become a highlight among state institutions. The recent increase in carbon dioxide emissions is considered a representation of environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of institutional quality on carbon dioxide emissions in 24 Asia Pacific countries. The interaction variables of GDP per capita and institutional quality, EKC hypothesis, urbanization and energy consumption are also used. The data were processed using STATA version 17 using the Generalize Moment of Method (GMM) estimation. The results of the study indicate that institutional quality, the interaction of GDP per capita and institutional quality have a significant negative effect on carbon dioxide emissions. GDP per capita has a significant negative effect on carbon dioxide emissions, but GDP per capita squared is significantly positive, meaning that the EKC hypothesis in the Asia Pacific case is contrary to the EKC Inverted U theory. Meanwhile, urbanization has a significant negative effect and energy consumption has a significant positive effect on carbon dioxide emissions. Finally, this study also suggests some valuable policy suggestions for governments/policymakers in general/specifically regarding developing countries to support their environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Alas Purwo National Park (TNAP), located in Banyuwangi, East Java, Indonesia, is an important area in natural resources conservation. With its extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna, TNAP has great potential for sustainable ecotourism development. In 2016, TNAP was designated as part of the World Biosphere Reserve and joined the Blambangan Biosphere Reserve with Mount Ijen and Baluran National Park. One of the main attractions in TNAP is Savana Sadengan, an artificial savanna used for grazing various types of animals, where visitors can see wild animals gathering for food. G-Land Beach, famous for its high waves, is a popular surfing location, with its waves being the second highest after Hawaii. The development of ecotourism in Alas Purwo requires active involvement from the community to increase understanding of the importance of environmental conservation as well as effective promotion to attract tourists. Social media plays an important role in facilitating promotion and education about ecotourism, and can encourage community participation in nature management and conservation. This study aims to analyze the role of social media in ecotourism promotion and community involvement in Alas Purwo National Park, using SWOT analysis to evaluate internal and external factors that influence the success of ecotourism development. The results show that social media has a very important role in increasing community awareness, promotion and participation. However, there are some challenges related to limited network and transportation infrastructure, as well as the need for technology education among local communities. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strategy for developing sustainable ecotourism in TNAP must consider the strengths and opportunities that exist, while overcoming the weaknesses and threats faced. Thus, it is hoped that TNAP can become a major destination for ecotourism and contribute to conservation and environmental preservation, which ultimately brings benefits to the environment and surrounding communities.
