Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of interest of students in participating in the negotiation text learning process. Students do not focus on listening to the learning material delivered so that students find it difficult to write negotiating texts. The students' writing tends not to match the criteria in writing the correct negotiating text so that the student's score is low. Most of the conventional methods are still used by teachers in delivering negotiation text material. Teachers should be able to develop strategies and methods that are creative, interesting so that students become enthusiastic and enthusiastic in learning. One of them is by using learning video media. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of video media in learning negotiation texts. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The population in the study were all students of class X, amounting to 86 students. The sample used is total sampling, namely all students of class X totaling 86. The instrument used is a questionnaire, with research data from the distribution of questionnaires using negotiation text learning media. Data analysis technique using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the use of video media in negotiating text learning obtained an average score of 3.25 with an achievement level of 64.57%. Which is in the high category. This means that video media can be used as an alternative in delivering negotiation text learning materials.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the planning, implementation, and assessment of the implementation of character education in learning Biologi in Class X SMA Negeri 1 South Solok. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Collection techniques used in this study are, document analysis, observation, documentation interviews, and recording techniques. The instruments used in this study were observation guide grids, syllabus document analysis and lesson plans, interviews, and documentations. The entire data obtained is then analyzed through several stages (1) data reduction, (2) data display, (3) data verification. The results of the discussion show that 1) planning for the implementation of character education in biologic learning in class X SMA Negeri 1 South Solok contained in the syllabus and lesson plan has been implemented based on what has been planned by both biologic teachers and found the values of character education; 2) the implementation of character education implementation in learning has beeiologi n implemented based on the learning process activities that take place and found the character values, namely: preliminary activities (religious values, discipline, tolerance, curiosity, knowing, responsibility, friendly/communicative, and love peace). Core activities: (fond of reading, curiosity, friendly communicative, independent, hard work, creative, honest, tolerance, discipline, responsibility, and peace of mind. Closing activities:) religious, independent, responsibility, and curiosity); 3) Evaluation of the implementation of character education in biologic learning in class X SMA Negeri 1 South Solok that the teacher has implemented the values of character education by conducting an observation assessment during the learning process.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the large volume of sedimentation contained in the Batang Piruko River because there was a lot of sedimentation that caused siltation of the river. Apart from being useful for developing and increasing knowledge about sedimentation, for the community in Kenagarian Koto Padang this can also be used as input as an effort to prevent damage to the vicinity of the Batang Piruko river flow. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research, to achieve the research objectives a survey method is used. The map used is a watershed map. Determination of sample points to collect data on physical conditions at the research location was carried out using purposive sampling, namely determining sample points with certain considerations. The results of the calculation of the average river discharge in the dry season is m3/second and the average discharge in the rainy season is 68.7 m3/second. While the amount of sediment load (QS) in the dry season is 24.97651 tons/year and the amount (QS) in the rainy season is 769.1134 tons/year. Based on the calculation results that have been done it can be concluded that the amount of sedimentation contained in the river flow Piruko stems in the dry season and rainy season are different, the amount of sedimentation increases as the river discharge increases. So based on the calculation of the sediment content that has been done, we know that the Batang Piruko river is damaged.

Abstract

Current educatioan is getting more challenges, one of which is that education takes place in a setting made-up environment, since it should foster behavior which is useful for individual in the future, not now. As a result of setting an artificial envorment is a fun learning atmosphere. Another problem facing by the world of education is schools are aversive, where the students, teachers, vice headmaster, and headmaster, especially to student competency, manajement school basic, and developing strategy. This research strated form the low guality of education at SMAN 1 Kamang Magek kabupaten Agam. The purpose this research is to know the implementation school basic management effort developing strategy to student competency at SMAN 1 Kamang Magek. The subjects in this research were 46 teachers, vice headmaster and headmaster. Which is where the researcher served as head as school years 2021/2022. Action is implemented in 3 cycles. In the implantation of the action, the design is done in 3 cysles that include; (1) planning, (2) action, (3) obervastion, (4) reflection. In the data collection techigues used are to use observations and guestionnaires. This was apparent at the first meeting of the 46 teachears, vice headmaster and headmaster who were percent (%) at the study : cyle 1 : 56, 62 %, increased to cycle 2 : 78, 34 %, and in cycle 3 increased to 82, 56 %, This the hypothesis proposed above is acceptable.

Abstract

Background of this research is based on the difficulty of students understanding the material and knowledge of terms in mathematics that are less familiar in their learning environment so that with the development of this teaching material, it is hoped that student learning outcomes will be more optimal. This study aims to produce basic mathematics teaching materials that are valid and effective in basic mathematics learning. The type of this research is development research with the chosen development model, namely the Smith and Ragan model. This research was carried out on students of the informatics engineering education study program at the University of Putra Indonesia "YPTK" Padang. The research instrument was developed to assess the validity and effectiveness of basic mathematics teaching materials. The conclusion of this study is that at the validity stage of obtaining an average of 87.17% with very valid criteria, at the effectiveness stage using statistical analysis, namely the Paired Sample Test equation with a sig (2-tailed) result of 0.000 < an alpha value of 0.05 meaning that the value of Sig.2 tailed (0.000) is small from the alpha value ( 0.05) so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference between students' mathematics learning outcomes before and after using basic mathematics teaching materials.

Abstract

Biology is a lesson full of concepts. The concepts contained in the subject matter tend to be memorized by students without interpreting them. One of the subject matter of biology is the structure and function of plant tissue. To help students understand the concepts contained in biology lessons, teaching materials are needed. One of the teaching materials that can be used is handouts. In addition, students also find it difficult to connect one concept to another, so they need to be helped with a mind map. Based on these problems, a handout that is equipped with the main concepts and a mind map on the structure and function of plant tissue material is developed that is valid and practical. This type of research is development research using 4-D models that have been modified into 3 stages, namely, define, design, develop and disseminate. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the validity test show that this handout is valid in terms of didactic (84.52%), construction (85.94%) and technical (84.16%) aspects. The results of the practicality test of the handouts by teachers and students show that these handouts are practically used in the learning process. This shows that the handout which is equipped with the main concepts and a mind map on the material of the structure and function of plant tissue produced is valid and practical so that it can be used in learning biology in class XI schools.

Abstract

This study intends to determine whether there is a disciplinary effect between the influence of learning discipline on the learning outcomes of class X students at SMK IT Islamiyyah Boarding School. The sample used is 50 students. This type of research used is quantitative assosciative. The method used is a descriptive survey. Which uses a saturade sample or a census sample to determine the sample if the entire population is sampled. Research data (1) Linear Regression Equation 38.309 + 0.554 X. (2) Learning discipline affects student learning outcomes in Islamic history subjects in class X IT Al Islamiyyah Boarding School, the p-value is less than 0.05. It can be interpreted that the learning outcomes of Islamic history at SMK IT Al Islamiyyah Boarding School class X are positively influenced by the field of study. (3) From the significant test of the regression equation, thit = 6.033, p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 or Ho is rejected. Therefore, using simple Y or X regression, it is significant that learning discipline affects learning outcomes, or learning discipline affects Islamic history learning outcomes. (4) Test the correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.657 and fthit (Fchange) = 36,398 and p-value = 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore the correlation coefficient of X and Y is significant. The coefficient of determination is R-Square = 0.431, meaning that 43.1% of the variation in Islamic history learning outcomes can be influenced by learning outcomes.

Abstract

Listening is a skill that must be possessed by students. In communicating activities both on campus and in the social environment, students must be able to understand the information seen and heard properly. Understanding in communication is needed so that there are no mistakes in capturing information or ideas that are heard. With a good understanding, the listener can give an opinion on the reading material. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The sample is all students of Indonesian Language Education class of 2019 as many as 12 people. The results of the study were the average value of critical listening skills using audio-visual media for Indonesian Language Education students at Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin Solok University was 78.47 with the following details: 1 person scored 100, 1 person scored 91.67, and 83.33 as many as 5 people, a score of 75 as many as 2 people, a score of 66.67 as many as 1 person and a score of 58.33 as many as 2 people. Audio visual media helps lecturers in providing variations in the learning process so that the learning process is liked by students. With the presence of audio-visual media, the skills of Indonesian students at Mahaputra University Muhammad Yamin Solok with sufficient classification are 78.47.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education of Stkip Ahlussunnah Bukittinggi students who experienced many obstacles in its implementation. The method used in the completion of this research uses the Google Scholar, Science Direct and ERIC databases. The results obtained are that there are various impacts caused by the Covid-19 virus, negative impacts that occur in the learning process related to online learning techniques and the psychology of students, parents and educators who need adjustments in learning methods. The positive impact we need to know is that education about information technology has increased drastically. There are new opportunities for academics to develop learning methods through distance learning models. Online learning has several impacts on students, namely online learning still confuses students; students become passive, less creative and productive; accumulation of information/concepts on students is less useful; students experience stress; as well as improving students' language literacy skills. This can be an evaluation so that online learning can be sought to be well received by students without reducing the essence of education itself.

Abstract

This study aims to collect, process, analyze and describe and discuss about: knowing theinfluence of the social environment and teen attitudes towards changes in the value of thesystem in the Nagari Cupak in Kabupaten Solok. The type of research used in this studyis quantitative descriptive research. To achieve the research objectives the data collectiontechnique uses a questionnaire. Processing data to test reliability using the ProductMoment formula, which is then continued by Sperman Brown. The formula data analysistechnique uses a percentage of determination. The results showed that there was asignificant influence between teen attitudes toward changing values in Nagari Cupak,because the teenage social environment of Nagari Cupak had an important role as avehicle that was non-formal in creating or forming teen character or attitude in NagariCupak in socializing and socializing and communicate in Nagari Cupak Kabupaten Solok
