Abstract

This study aims to collect, process, analyze and describe and discuss about: knowing theinfluence of the social environment and teen attitudes towards changes in the value of thesystem in the Nagari Cupak in Kabupaten Solok. The type of research used in this studyis quantitative descriptive research. To achieve the research objectives the data collectiontechnique uses a questionnaire. Processing data to test reliability using the ProductMoment formula, which is then continued by Sperman Brown. The formula data analysistechnique uses a percentage of determination. The results showed that there was asignificant influence between teen attitudes toward changing values in Nagari Cupak, because the teenage social environment of Nagari Cupak had an important role as avehicle that was non-formal in creating or forming teen character or attitude in NagariCupak in socializing and socializing and communicate in Nagari Cupak Kabupaten Solok

Abstract

The absence of a standardized operational-level practical test instrument for Technology Nautical Study Program cadets has led to inconsistencies in evaluating critical competencies, ultimately affecting the quality of training and readiness in maritime operations. This community service activity was initiated to address this gap by identifying the root causes behind the lack of implementation, such as inadequate alignment between practical assessments and core competencies, and by highlighting the consequential impact on vocational education quality. Using a qualitative approach through lectures, training sessions, and Participatory Action Research (PAR), this study involved lecturers and cadets from AMSS and Poltekpel Barombong. The intervention focused on socializing and implementing a competency-based assessment instrument that, based on preliminary indicators and observational data, demonstrated improvements in measuring participant skills with increased objectivity, validity, and reliability. However, limitations remain in that the instrument currently addresses only operational-level competencies and does not fully encompass all practical scenarios aligned with core competencies. The findings underscore the need for further research to expand and refine assessment tools, particularly at the management level, thereby contributing to enhanced vocational training and competency-based education in the nautical field.

Abstract

Abstract

Cargo handling is a core operational activity in ports that directly affects berth time efficiency and vessel departure punctuality, as any delay in this process will impact the overall sailing schedule. This study aims to analyze the influence of cargo handling operations and passenger boarding on the departure punctuality of the passenger vessel KM Bukit Siguntang and to formulate strategic operational recommendations to improve departure time performance. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, field observations during Voyage 16.2025, and operational documentation including ETA, ETD, and actual ATD records. Informants consist of ship crews and port operational personnel. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the impact of delays is proportional to berth duration; therefore, shorter port stays carry a higher risk of operational time loss. The study recommends the implementation of proportional buffer time, stricter boarding cut-off policies, optimized cargo planning, improved equipment readiness, and the establishment of a monitoring and evaluation system based on key performance indicators to enhance vessel departure punctuality.
