Abstract

Indonesia is the second largest contributor to plastic waste after China. In this case, the Kendal Regency government has various ways to educate the community to be aware of the importance of waste management. One way to reduce the amount of waste is by establishing Garbage Bank. Truko Village is one of the villages in Kendal district, Central Java province, this village was selected for community service activities because Truko village does not yet have a Garbage Bankand the village community also does not understand the system of running a Garbage Bank. This happens because there is still a lack of information about the Garbage Bank and proper waste management. To achieve this goal, the methods used are:1) Educating the public about the Garbage Bank program 2) Socializing the management of Garbage Bank and waste 3) Socialization and training on waste management has become a valuable project. The existence of this article is expected to improve facilities in Truko village and in other villages with a plan to form a Waste Bank.Establishing a Garbage Bank is a way to improve village facilities because with a Garbage Bank the waste management process will be more focused, it is hoped that this article can provide information to people in Truko Village and people outside Truko Village the process of forming a Garbage Bank and managing waste appropriately to become valuable goods selling

Abstract

Indonesia is currently included in the covid19 virus pandemic category. Many cities have been hit by the Covid19 virus. The city of Madiun has also been confirmed positive for the Covid19 virus. Therefore, to prevent the transmission of the Covid19 virus, prevention efforts are needed. Islamic boarding schools are a gathering place for students from various cities in Indonesia. If there are no prevention efforts at the Islamic boarding school, there will be a new covid19 virus cluster. Community service activities through the partnership program for the Al Mujaddadiyah Islamic Boarding School are focused on developing technology to overcome the prevention of the Covid19 virus in the Islamic boarding school environment. The hope is that with this training, boarding school caregivers and students can better understand the health protocols applied to technology to prevent the spread of the Covid19 virus in the cottage environment.

Abstract

The problem faced by students is at the production stage, namely the problem of product labeling. Until now labeling was done simply or without labeling. If students can design their own product labels, of course this will add to the selling value of the product. The existence of labels and brochures also add value to the promotion of student products. The aim of this mentoring activity is to provide training and graphic design assistance to students of SMK. The steps of this community service activities are observations, socialization, graphic design training, assistance in making labels and brochures for student entrepreneurial products, as well as evaluating and reflecting on service activities. The result of this service activity was in the form of training and graphic design assistance for students. All of the activities was well done . This can be seen from the number of students who participated in training and mentoring for three days. In addition, there are positive responses from teachers and students that have an impact on the success of this graphic design training and assistance. This can be seen from the results of student designs that are attractive and can be used as a commercial tool.

Abstract

The tourism development on Plentong Beach, Ujunggebang Village, Sukra District, Indramayu Regency has shown a positive impact on socio-economic and ecological conditions in this region. Collaboration between the Village Government, BUMDES Maju Ujunggebang and the community has been able to turn Plentong Beach into an inclusive tourist destination for the people of the North Coast of West Java. To expand marketing communication and provide visual identity, a visual branding product was designed in Community Service activities by applying the Design Thinking method through observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions. This activity has succeeded in designing a visual branding product that will be applied to souvenir products according to the needs and interests of partners. In the future, it is necessary to develop visual branding on marketing communication media in the form of websites, signage, and social media to expand the popularity of Plentong Beach which in turn attracts more visits from wider demographic and geographic segments for the advancement of destinations and people on Plentong Beach.

Abstract

Covid-19 has been declared as pandemic and has spread in 216 countries around the world. WHO’s distribution data obtained on May 31, 2020 that there were 5,891,182 positive cases of Covid-19 in the world with 365,966 deaths. The condition in Indonesia is classified as serious as well, which 25,773 positive cases with 1,573 deaths. Covid-19 has the potential to attack humans with poor immunity, so that a healthy lifestyle plays a role in increasing endurance, such as eating healthy food like probiotics. One of the media that can be used to grow probiotics is pinneapple peel. The community service partner was PKK RT. 06/RW.03 Rungkut Barata residents, the majority of whom are middle aged and elderly. This age is classified as vulnerable to being exposed to Covid-19, so in this acrivity we plan to carry out activity related to probiotics by utillizing pineapple skin waste. Futhermore, the location of the partners is strategic because near the market and sorrounded by several pineapple sellers. The method activity was preparation and coordination with the partner, then continues with conselling and training on making probiotic product. The output was probiotic product, training moduls and documentation.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a safe and healthy condition when doing work. This safe and healthy condition are useful for both workers, companies or organizations and for the environment around the workplace. OSH is an important aspect in workshop, including CV. Epen Garage X Azizskip which is a motorbike repair workshop located in Citeuteup area, Bogor City, West Java. OSH will be created if there is no potential danger or hazard, therefore it is necessary to identify hazards in the workshop. This study aims to identify hazards using Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) method and work improvement using Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu dan Shitsuke (5S) method. The types of hazards, risk levels and sources of hazards will be identified by the HAZOP method. Generally the hazards in the workshop are because workers do not use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as work clothes, gloves, safety shoes, safety goggles and also messy workshop condition. After identifying the types of hazards, a work improvement method is needed to prevent accidents in workshop, using the 5S method.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out in collaboration with STIKes Jayakarta and RSUD Depok. Based on initial data when providing nursing care to 12 Muslim patients, it was found that 4 out of 12 patients (33%) did not pray with the reason is that a urinary catheter was attached, did not bring prayer equipment, could not perform wudhu to the bathroom, and did not pray before being sick.. Nurses are expected to be able to fullfill patient needs comprehensively biology, psychology, social-spiritual, but spiritual needs have not been fully fulfilled. The fulfillment of spiritual needs related to worship is of course given according to the religion of each individual. Nurses can act as facilitators in fullfill spiritual needs. Increasing knowledge of nurses related to competence in fullfill the spiritual needs of patients treated in hospitals, including through training activities for spiritual nursing care. The form of activity is in the form of spiritual nursing care training using the guidebook from the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI), namely the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standard (SDKI), the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standard (SLKI), and the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standard (SIKI). The training was conducted through teleconference, starting with lectures and discussions as well as video showings related to the procedures for facilitating worship of patients treated in hospitals. The training was given to nurses and midwives who were divided into 3 stages alternately with a total of 127 participants. The result of this activity is an increase in knowledge and skills about spiritual nursing care, then the formation of a whatsapp group for guidance, the application of spiritual nursing care in their ward, spiritual nursing care modules, patient worship guides, videos of patient worship procedures.

Abstract

This article was written based on the Bandung State Polytechnic Community Service (PKM) activities in collaboration with BUMDES Desa Padaasih, West Bandung Regency to provide solutions to the problems of developing BUMDES in managing the tourism business in Curug Panganten. The BUMDES Desa Padaasih has problems that include limited village human resources related to entrepreneurial knowledge and insights for the management of BUMDES and the absence of a guide to planning the development of a tourism service business. Following up on this, Community Service activities have been carried out by the Bandung State Polytechnic by designing a Tourism Business Plan and providing Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) to administrators and activists of Padaasih Village BUMDES as partners. This activity has resulted in partners' understanding of tourism business management which includes Marketing, Business Strategy, Human Resource Management, Product Management, Technical Operational Management, and Marketing Tools and the creation of a Tourism Service Business Plan document as a guide so that BUMDES Desa Padaasih Cisarua KBB can develop a tourism business for improve the village economy.

Abstract

Abstract - Oral and dental health is a condition that needs to be considered and maintained to improve the quality of life. One of the efforts made to maintain dental and oral health in the school environment is by conducting UKGS (Usaha Kesehatan Gigi Sekolah). In UKGS activities, teachers have a role in providing emergency treatment to relieve pain. The emergency treatment administered by teachers in schools can perform in cases such as avulsions, choking, and abscesses. This community service aims to increase the role of elementary school teachers through UKGS to maintain, improve the oral health of all students at SDN in the Karangtengah area, Baturaden District, Purwokerto. The method of implementation was basely on optimizing the potential of UKGS teacher cadres, including identification of target schools and participants, pre-test implementation, maturation, coaching, enhancement of UKGS teacher cadres. Coaching and training have been carried out for UKGS supervisors for abscess, choking and avelse conditions. Post-test activities to gain insight into emergency medicine and relieve tooth and mouth pain. Results: p data analysis using the Wilcoxon asymp test.sig.(2-tailed) of 0.001 (<0.05), this value indicates that there is an influence on the level of knowledge about emergency medicine. The analysis performed with the Wilcoxon Test; there was a significant difference (sig = 0.001, p <0.05). There was an increase in the average pre-test value of 76.92 and post-test of 97.85.Conclusion: There is increasing knowledge about emergency medicine to relieve tooth and mouth pain in elementary school teachers.

Abstract

Electric short circuit which causes fire disaster is still a major factor. The average percentage of fires due to electricity reached 70% of the total cases in the capital city of Jakarta for the period 2000 to 2018. Intentional or unintentional deviant behavior committed by electricity users through efforts to reduce the quality of electrical installations is an opportunity for fires. The use of sophisticated electrical equipment and general regulations for electrical installations (PUIL) still cannot guarantee that a fire will not occur. This problem arises because PLN has only used the KWH meter and current limiter (MCB) for electricity consumers to date. Misuse of electrical installations occurs when the handover process of electrical installation work has been carried out, thus it can be concluded that the problem is based more on the behavior of electricity consumers. In order to avoid this bad behavior, prevention efforts need to be made through the application of a periodic inspection system on building electrical installations that have been certified by SLO by a team in the form of PLN. In this article, it is proposed to add a procedure to the SOP for the issuance of the SLO certificate, namely periodic inspections of a series of building electrical installations.
