Abstract

A technology dissemination program aimed at the community is carried out with a focus on the main problems experienced by partners and provides sustainable solutions based on the potential and resources owned by internal partners themselves. The implementation of this program aims to increase the capacity of farmers by providing information on the potential utilization of natural resources in their land. That resources especially agricultural and livestock waste that can be used as a medium for developing feed ingredients from insects i.e., BSF larvae (maggot). It will be used as an alternative feed for native chickens. Service activities are carried out through several stages including preparation, socialization, extension and demonstrations, as well as assistance so that farmers can independently carry out technology transfer packages themselves. During the activity, group members showed a high level of participation. Demonstration plots for rearing BSF larvae followed by feeding either processed or fresh larvae to native chickens. It was focused on one member of the group who was more ready to receive the technology package. From the evaluation results obtained that partners have additional information on how to cultivate maggot as an alternative source of protein feed, get to know local feed raw materials around and management of free-range chickens. Maggot cultivation results that are harvested at the age of 15 days are directly given to members’ chickens. At the end of the service activities, partners get a lot of experience and new skills, namely maggot cultivation.

Abstract

Small and medium firms are considered as the national safety net in times of crisis. UKM ACA is a medium-sized business and is recognized as a home industry that maintains sustainable quality. The purpose of this study is to identify defects and design better scenarios to improve product quality. This research begins with mapping the production process flow to identify product defects. After the product defect is obtained, the next step is to calculate the risk priority number. The study results showed three defects: the faded color with RPN 84, thread break with RPN 72, and irregular motifs with RPN 60.

Abstract

Daring mathematics study leaves pupils with troubles and anxiety after more than a year of daring learning. Furthermore, students often struggle to understand instructional materials that need graphic interpretation when learning mathematics. This activity aims to improve the competence of mathematics teachers with skills using the iSpring and GeoGebra so that they can create creative and effective learning media so that their virtual mathematics learning becomes more interesting and understandable for students. This activity is conducted daring via Zoom and live on YouTube, as well as offline meetings that are carried out with due observance of health protocols. Lectures, demonstrations on the use of iSpring and GeoGebra, as well as monitoring and evaluation are methods used in daring and offline activities. The target audience for this community service is Middle School Mathematics teachers in Pattalassang District. The results of the training showed an increase in the understanding and skills of mathematics teachers in utilizing iSpring and GeoGebra multimedia. This improvement in IT skills can contribute to increasing creativity and effectiveness in learning mathematics in the classroom.

Abstract

The problems that commonly occurred in the field of water resources were the lack of clean water in the dry season and excess water in the wet season. Those problems may impact on efforts to fulfil the need for clean water. One of the efforts that can be used to overcome those problems is rainwater harvesting. The purpose of this research was to design a rainwater harvesting system to fulfil the need for clean water during the dry season and groundwater conservation in the wet season. The design of the system includes the roof of the rainwater harvesting building, rainwater harvesting reservoirs, infiltration wells, and rainwater quality treatment equipment. The roof of the rainwater harvesting building was designed with a size of 6.50 m x 5.00 m. The runoff discharge from the roof is 1,084.02 liters/hour. The available rainwater harvesting reservoir has a capacity of 5,300 liters. There were 2 units of infiltration wells that function to absorb abundant rainwater from rainwater harvesting reservoirs, each well is 0.80 m in diameter and 1.35 m deep. Utilization of water from rainwater harvesting reservoirs can be done after going through the process in rainwater quality treatment equipment. The results of this activity can be recommended for widespread application.

Abstract

Public speaking skills is the skills that persue people to design words and beautiful sentences which is able to attract people's attention. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of students at SMAN 1 Bebandem in public speaking. This activity focuses on providing socialization about the importance of understanding and implementing public speaking to increase self-confidence, improve self- quality, and be able to think critically. The methods used in this activity are lecture, simulation, and practice methods. The participants were actively involved in this activity, seen from the enthusiasm they had during the practice. Significant changes in students' confidence in public speaking could be seen in the pre-test results and the post-test data. In addition, the significant changes could be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in the activity by asking and discussing.

Abstract

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has an impact on the physical health aspect and the psychology of the community, especially the emotions to experience stress and anxiety. This psychological impact is not only experienced by groups who are vulnerable to COVID-19 but also teenagers. The information circulating on social media about COVID-19, both factual information or hoaxes, triggers stress and anxiety among teenagers. This community service is carried out to provide education to teenagers on how to be wiser using social media so that they can anticipate anxiety and stress as a result of using social media. This activity was carried out for high school teenagers who are members of the youth organization in Ngudi, Blora, by providing counselling on two subjects, namely 1) the SIFT method to anticipate hoaxes circulating on social media, 2) how to anticipate stress as a result of using social media. The results of this activity are participants' understanding of how to behave and act on information obtained from social media, as well as participants' understanding of ways to anticipate stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. In general, the participants were enthusiastic about participating in this activity and get benefits.

Abstract

The practice of breastfeeding is one way to optimize the health and development of children. Exclusive breastfeeding for infants 0-6 months without providing complementary foods/substitutes for breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding problems can be caused by breast milk that does not come out after childbirth, lack of milk production, the inability of the baby to suck, abnormal conditions of the mother's nipples, working mothers, and lack of health information. Health problems that often occur in breastfeeding mothers are reduced milk production, which will later affect breastfeeding status so that it can be a risk factor for stunting. One way to increase the volume of breast milk is to provide Moringa leaf extract as an ingredient to be processed into alternative food products, namely "Coding Danker". This community service activity was carried out three times, namely exclusive breastfeeding and stunting counseling, processing alternative food products from Moringa leaves, providing food products to the community, breastfeeding mothers and monitoring evaluations and interventions from providing Coding Danker to breastfeeding mothers. This activity is aimed at increasing the knowledge and skills of PKK mothers in RW 7 Sialang Munggu Village in making pastries based on local wisdom, namely cookies with Moringa leaf extract. Community service participants were given material by showing videos on how to make these products. The outputs of this community service are one scientific article, one article in print/electronic mass media, activity videos and community service reports.

Abstract

The harvest in Saenam Village is very abundant and its utilization is still low, so it is interesting to increase the benefit of the harvest from the yards of the local village community to be more useful and increase economic value in the the covid-19 pandemic situation. The harvest in Saenam Village is very abundant and its utilization is still low, so as a researcher I want to increase the utilization of the harvest from the yard of the local village community so that it is more useful and increases economic value in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. At the time of harvest, the price of garlic is very low, so processing garlic into powder can increase the value of its benefits and economic value. Garlic powder produced is not only a traditional medicine for humans, but also useful as an anti-bacterial for animals and anti-microbial and anti-pest for plants. This public service activities are welcome by the community. They are very enthusiastic about participating in this community service because their benefits harvest can increase through processing into garlic powder. The obtained garlic powder which is directly applied as an anti-pest for garlic plants that have not been harvested and as a practical cooking spice. Garlic powder as a practical cooking spice and traditional medicine is very effective to use because it saves time when cooking and saves costs in terms of disease treatment and plant pest control. In addition, it can improve the welfare of the people of Saenam Village. Garlic without being processed sold only twenty five thousand rupiah per kilogram. When that one kg is processed into powder and packaged, it will be sold at a price of five thousand – seventy five thousand per kilogram. The conclusion of this service is that the value of the garlic benefits can be increased through processing into powder.

Abstract

The digital era encourages their governance governance are far more effective and efficient. Most large organizations undertake various efforts to adapt in order to megikuti developments that exist. However, there are some organizations that are still limited in terms of knowledge and insight related to technological developments. Pondok Foundation Pesantren al-Idris is one of the institutions of society non-profit that is engaged in the field of education of religion, have limitations related to the ability to adapt to the development of the technology. Though its existence in the middle of the town demanded their governance governance that is good that the existence of the foundation of the more well known in the community area. Yayasan Pesantren al- Idris has the participant students an average age of productive that has potential beyond the ordinary to develop the skills and insights. The purpose of the activities of these is provide insight and pealtihan related to governance governance of the organization via e-Management so that the future is able to generate a source of power mnausia that unggu both in the field of religion and knowledge common are relevant . Event application of science and technology on society will be implemented two phases debriefing wawasn and training in the making of web organization. Then monitoring and evaluation will be carried out so that the sustainability of this activity can be achieved. The output of this activity is being able to become a means of direct participation of academics in fulfilling the tri dharma of higher education. Academic output can produce modules as guidelines for website management by the Al-Idris Surabaya foundation.

Abstract

Bencah Village has a history of being a village that has a high Covid-19 positive confirmation rate in Bangka Belitung Province. To prevent this incident happening again, the role of the Bencah Village Cadre must be increased. Bencah Village currently has Posyandu Cadres and KWT Anggrek Cadre who are active in serving public health. For this reason, counseling for cadres is needed as a form of support and guidance by skilled health workers. This Community Partnership Program activity aims to provide counseling about Covid-19 and Posyandu that must be mastered by cadres in this new normal era. The activity stages consist of the stage of Pre-Activity, Preparation, Implementation, and Evaluation. A total of 17 cadres participated in this activity, and at the end of the activity, all participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire survey to find out the results and impacts of the activities that have been carried out. From the results of the questionnaire analysis obtained an average value of 4.29 which means the activities have been carried out well.
