Abstract

Sepit Village in Central Lombok regency established the Village Information Agency (BID) in 2019, BID Pintar, to meet village information needs and assist internet-based governance. BID Pintar has published several village potentials such as MSME products and tourism potential. For improving the competence of youth and the editorial board of BID Pintar, this activity is carried out as additional knowledge and basic skills of news writing for online media, which include: understanding the value of news, reporting techniques and journalistic code of ethics; basic techniques of online news writing; and making simple illustrations or infographics. Activities are carried out using lecture, discussion, and practice methods which are directly evaluated. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants' knowledge about news values, reporting techniques, and journalistic codes of ethics. Meanwhile, in terms of skills, participants are generally indicated to be able to implement basic online news writing techniques, starting from making engaging titles, preparing news headlines or leads, applying the inverted pyramid principle, and using appropriate photos. To achieve an adequate online news writing ability, further training, both guided and independent, is needed, especially in the formulation of titles and leads and the use of simple and attractive illustrations

Abstract

One of the public health problems is smoking behavior that occurs in various circles of society in Indonesia, therefore it is necessary to conduct counseling to provide awareness of the dangers of smoking to health. This community service is carried out with the intention of students understanding the efforts to anticipate the calamity of smoking on health, also active for disseminate it to the family environment, learning environment, and society. The stages of community service are carried out by preparation, implementation, and evaluation activities. Furthermore, the acquisition of service activities is presented descriptively and narratively. The results of service activities are based on knowledge measurement through measurements before and after the activity. The measurement results before the participants' activities gave a score of 80.88% from 130 participants. There are 15 question points, the most incorrect responses are on questions related to the catastrophe of smoking, the content of cigarettes, health problems caused by smoking, the dangers or impacts of smoking behavior that can lead to lung cancer, smoking behavior in daily interactions to prevent disease. lung cancer, an activity that is useful for supporting physical health. After the presentation of the counseling material on the catastrophe of smoking on health, measurements were made after the activity to find out whether there was a transformation of students' knowledge after receiving lectures and counseling. The results of measuring the activity after the activity showed that the participants gave a score of 95.50% of the 130 participants. There is an increase in knowledge of 14.62%. The school must carry out further development in the field of public health on an ongoing basis so that students can be trained to become facilitators or health agents both at school and at their residence and also to increase the role of the school health business (UKS) in following up on various health problems that can be handled.

Abstract

The economic independence of the Ngrombo Village community can be improved by utilizing its potential as a Tourism Village. As a partner in this community service activity, Ngrombo Village has the advantage of being a guitar craft center that is well known by the people of Surakarta and its surroundings. So that Ngrombo Village has a great opportunity to become a Tourism Village. However, the problem faced is that they do not yet know how the concept of developing a Tourism Village is in accordance with the rules of the law and they do not know how to plan and implement a plan from surveys to a tourism village development strategy. For this reason, this activity has the aim of helping partners by providing training and assistance using the concept of developing a Tourism Village in accordance with the rules of the law as well as training and mentoring on procedures for planning and implementation ranging from surveys to developing Tourism Village strategies. The methods used are lectures, discussions, mentoring and problem solving. The results of this activity are the fulfillment of the Tourism Village indicator category in accordance with the law and the fulfillment of location surveys up to clusters of attractions, accessibility and amenities by partners as Tourism Villages so that the hope of increasing community economic independence can be realized.

Abstract

Densely populated settlements in the Kediri have their own problems in the livestock sector. Starting from the problem of narrow land for raising livestock and the availability of feed. Raising rabbits is one of the ways of the Sumber Rejeki livestock group, Ngronggo Village, Kediri City so that they can continue to raise livestock. The ability of rabbits to use various types of feed makes it easier for rabbits to be kept, especially in urban areas by utilizing the potential of local feed resources. However, farmers are still lacking information about local urban waste that can be used to feed rabbits as well as how to prepare rabbit rations. The solutions that can be given are counseling on the types of local feed ingredients that can be used as rabbit feed and training on forage handling and how to prepare complete rations for rabbits. The methods used in this community service are participatory, outreach, mentoring, and training for partner group members and there will be an evaluation at the end of the activity. The resulting output is an increase in the understanding of farmers about local animal feed ingredients and an increase in the ability to prepare rabbit rations. The resulting product is in the form of feed as biscuits,it’s easy to bite because rabbits are rodents. This feed product will later be referred as rabbits biosupplement biscuit.

Abstract

The low participation in children's education and the high drop out rate were social problems for the community in Tanjung Pura City. There fore, Pelita reading park was established as an effort to solve this problem. However, in its operation there were several problems faced including: 1) the lack of ability and knowledge of managers in the management of reading park documentation, 2) the service was still manual, 3) most of the dominant reading park activities were in the form of reading books and story telling, 4) the absence of mobile facilities. to be used as a means of service and mobile socialization, 5). lack of facilities and infrastructure. 6) limited used of information technology. The solutions offered were in the form of: assisting partners in building management of reading park based on information systems, designing tools (gerobak pintar) and preparing reading park development programs. The method of activity carried out is mentoring partners to improve the management of reading park so that they have the ability to manage reading park based on information technology and design tools in the form of smart carts. The results of this activity were 1) There was an increase in commitment and a sense of shared responsibility between the manager and the surrounding community as indicated by the increase in the number of the management team to 11 people, 2) an increase in the expertise and skills of partners in reading park documentation management. 3) the availability of gerobak pintar suitable for storing collections of reading materials, 4) the existence of an application system for managing collections of reading [ark based on information technology and 5) increasing public interest in using the Pelita reading park as a means of learning and reading.

Abstract

Imooji is a digital promotional media to introduce products or services from small businesses that are not widely known. The introduction of small businesses to digital promotional media is very important, especially during a pandemic, in order to overcome the constraints of direct promotion which has limited activities. This program aims to provide assistance to a number of small businesses in utilizing Imooji as part of the development of the creative economy. The scope of this program includes 20 small businesses in Banjarmasin. The method of this program is through direct assistance to each place of business with the involvement of lecturers and student groups as companions. This program has an impact on increasing the knowledge of small business actors about Imooji as a form of promotional media. They are also directly assisted in creating Imooji to promote their business digitally. The result of the program is an increase in the skills of small business actors in making Imooji as a digital promotion medium for their business. The digital literacy of the small business actors involved is also increasing and hoped that will help them to promote their business efficiently and effectively.

Abstract

There are many types of handicrafts from Pati Regency, one of which is corncob crafts whose raw materials come from unused corn waste. The corncobs are processed into various forms of crafts including night lamps, watches, tissue holders, jars, flower holders, wall hangings and much more. The COVID-19 pandemic caused SMEs to experience a decline in sales. In order to help increase sales, the service team carried out several mentoring activities. Some of the mentoring activities carried out are providing training and e-marketing assistance, determining selling prices, and recording financials through the android application. Participants in community service activities are UKM "Tyara Craft" located in the Sarirejo area, Pati Regency. This series of service activities was carried out on March 16 to June 8, 2021. The methods taken in this service activity include interviews, observations, lectures, tutorials, discussions, mentoring, and evaluations. After three months of mentoring, the partner finally has an online sales booth, can determine the exact selling price and make financial records through the Lamikro android application.

Abstract

Most of residents in Rangkah cemetery area Surabaya have low economic level. Majority of the residents work as scavengers. The Surabaya City Government has provided assistance in the form of free internet for residents, but it has not been used optimally for improving their wealth due to lack of knowledge and skills to utilize internet as an alternative source of income. Selling online is the activity of selling goods/services using the internet. One of the advantages of selling online is that it does not require a large initial capital. The main purpose of this community service is to provide online sales training using social media Facebook as an alternative source of income to improve the economy of the scavenger community. This community service activity was attended by 31 children who are scavengers. The results of the measurement of the success of the training showed a significant number, only 20% of participants able to corectly answer at least half of the questions (pre-test), and after the training, 94% of participants able to correctly answer of at least 7 questions (post-test)

Abstract

This article is based on the Community Service Program which seeks to help increase the insight and knowledge of residents to differentiate between subsistence and commercial scale vegetable production. This service program aims to increase the insight and skills of the residents of RT 03 RW 06 Mulyorejo Village, especially the Dasawisma group of PKK women in managing existing resources to implement home-scale vegetable farming. The approach method used is training and mentoring in vegetable business management for residents in RT 03. Community service activities are carried out in 3 stages, namely: (1) Socialization of activities; (2) Vegetable farming management training and bookkeeping; (3) Assistance for pioneering vegetable marketing. The results of the implementation of community service show that PKK women are able to allocate their resources to produce leaf vegetables and fruit vegetables on a home scale. The formation of production groups based on vegetable types greatly helps the availability of various types of vegetables to meet consumer demand around in the RT 03 RW 06. PKK women also have the ability to make simple bookkeeping although intensive assistance is needed to perfect the recording of expenditure transactions and income earned. The initial profits of vegetable farming run by PKK women during a growing season are still included in the business records of the Dasawisma group. A pilot agreement with an online vegetable shop has been agreed to expand the marketing network of PKK women in RT 03.

Abstract

Youngsters in Padangkeling Village are residents who also feel the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, of which more than 25% of the youngsters have lost their work relationship since 2020. Through the community service program which is part of the Tridarma of Higher Education, lecturers and students who experienced in entrepreneurship providing education and entrepreneurship practicum for youngsters i who are experiencing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Padangkeling Village, Buleleng Regency. This is a form of concrete action that can be carried out by academics as a solution to problems in society. This program is carried out for two days. The education provided is entrepreneurship materials and business plans. Students who already have businesses also share their experiences in the business world. The success of this activity can be measured by the increase in participants' knowledge before and after the presentation of the material, and the ability of participants to develop their own business ideas.
