Abstract

Psycholinguistic research on human speech perception has become a major focus in understanding how humans process and understand spoken language. This study aims to investigate the way in which individuals perceive human speech, taking into account factors such as segmentation, word recognition, and understanding of meaning. Experimental methods are often used, including speech processing experiments, discontinuous speech comprehension experiments, and neuroimaging techniques such as functional MRI. The research results show that human speech perception is influenced by various factors, including linguistic and non-linguistic context, as well as the individual's ability to interpret audio information. The implications of this research are not only relevant in the fundamental understanding of how language works, but are also important in the development of speech recognition technology, speech therapy, and other language interventions. With a better understanding of how humans perceive speech, we can improve various aspects of spoken communication, including language teaching, therapeutic communication, and more effective user interface design.

Abstract

The focus of this study was to conduct classroom action research in two cycles, with the objective of enhancing and categorizing student learning motivation as high. The specific aim of this research was to explore the utilization of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, supported by the clinometer application, in order to elevate the learning motivation of class X-2 students at SMA Negeri 6 Malang. Problem Based Learning is an innovative approach to education that involves the integration of technology, specifically the clinometer application, to facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, the success of this model relies on the teacher's ability to effectively and inspirationally convey the material. Data collection techniques use observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews which are then analyzed quantitatively. The main challenge faced by mathematics teachers is how to increase students' learning motivation, especially in material that is considered complex and abstract, such as trigonometry. In the initial cycle, the research findings indicated that the students' average level of motivation for learning was categorized as low, standing at 52%. However, in the subsequent cycle, this average surged to 71%, falling within the high category. This demonstrates a notable increase of 19% in the students' overall learning motivation.

Abstract

Concept understanding in terms of gender has an important role in learning mathematics which will strengthen students' memories in receiving mathematical material that is imaginary so it is necessary to understand the concept first. The purpose of this study was to determine how the ability to understand the concepts of male and female students on Student Comparison material at SMP NU Lekok. The type of research used is qualitative research. The research subjects were 4 students consisting of 2 male students and 2 female students. Data collection techniques are tests and interviews. The results of this study showed that there were still male students who could not restate the concept of comparison, including the medium category, while for women, they could meet the indicators of restating a concept, including the high category; indicators of classifying objects according to their concepts, male students included the medium category, female students included the high category; indicators of presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, male students included the medium category, female students included the high category; indicators of using, utilising and selecting procedures or operations, male and female students included the low category; indicators of applying concepts or algorithms, male and female students included the medium category.

Abstract

This research is a literature review of a series of previous research journals that discuss the utilization of Augmented Reality technology as an interactive learning media at the elementary school level. This research includes an analysis of the models used, an evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of each model, and an in-depth discussion of the implications and significance of the models that have been reviewed. Based on the literature review conducted on a series of research journals on the utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) technology as an interactive learning media at the elementary school level, several significant conclusions can be drawn. First, the use of AR technology in the context of elementary school learning has been proven effective in improving the learning process by making it more interesting, interactive, and easy to understand for students. However, the implementation of AR technology in learning still faces several challenges, such as limited facilities and teacher readiness in adopting the technology.

Abstract

Suppose G is a graph with vertices p dan edges q. Super graceful labeling is a one-to-one function maping on f:V(G) È E(G)  {1,2, … , p + q} such that f(uv) = ½f(u) – f(v)½ differs for each edge uv Î E(G). A graph G is called super graceful if it can be labeled according to the definition of super graceful labeling. The graph B(m,n,k) is a graph consisteing of a path graph of length k conneting the star graph K(1,m) and K(1,n) at the pendant ends. Meanwhile, the graph Pn(1,2,…,n) is a path graph of length by n combining each vertex on the path graph with edges i to i members (1,2,…,n). In this journal, it will be shown that graph B(m,n,k) and graph Pn(1,2,…,n) are super graceful graphs.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is the main focus of Indonesia's education reform, which introduces a new paradigm for inclusive and adaptive learning. This study evaluates the readiness of P3K teachers in implementing diagnostic assessments in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, focusing on teachers' understanding, attitudes, and skills and the factors that influence them. Through a qualitative case study approach, results show that some teachers have a good understanding of Merdeka Curriculum and are able to integrate diagnostic assessments effectively, while others need additional assistance. There was variation in the implementation of diagnostic assessments, with some teachers using a more effective holistic approach. Teachers' technical skills also influence the implementation of diagnostic assessments, with some requiring additional training. Continued support from education institutions and local governments is needed to improve teachers' readiness to face the challenges of implementing Curriculum Merdeka and diagnostic assessments. This research provides valuable insights to improve educational practices and ensure more adaptive and relevant learning for students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of picture story media in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. The use of visual media in the learning process is expected to enhance students' interest and learning outcomes in the material presented. The research method employed is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of this study were 31 fourth-grade students at Bani Saleh Elementary School in Bekasi city. Data were collected through observation, interviews, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the use of picture story media significantly improves students' learning outcomes. The average test scores of students showed a significant increase after the implementation of picture story media. Additionally, student responses to the use of this media were very positive; they felt more interested and motivated in participating in the lessons. Thus, picture story media proved effective as a learning aid that can enhance students' learning outcomes. This study recommends that elementary school teachers consider using picture story media as an alternative creative and innovative teaching strategy to improve the quality of classroom learning.

Abstract

Making a speech is one of the activities in implementing one aspect of language skills, namely the speaking aspect. Speaking ability is an interaction activity using language, which is carried out by individuals and groups. The ability to speak also helps in any activity of communicating directly to convey ideas or opinions. Likewise, in learning Javanese there is material that teaches students to master Javanese or the ability to communicate between students in communicating using Javanese. Meanwhile, giving a speech itself is the activity of speaking in public to convey information which also contains a message. One way to make students skilled at giving speeches is that this research examines the ability to make speeches in Javanese language learning. This research aims to provide descriptive information about giving speeches using Javanese in terms of fluency, attitude, and facial expressions so that it can be realized that the activity of learning to make speeches using Javanese is a holistic learning that can be used as a character education for students in retaining language culture Java. The method in this research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Qualitative research is research that has the aim of understanding phenomena regarding various perceptions, motivations and actions holistically, or by means of descriptions in the form of words or language in a natural context by utilizing various scientific methods. Therefore, this method is used in this research, in this case to describe and describe speech abilities in Javanese language learning. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that students learning to give speeches were able to give speeches in Javanese. This is evident from several aspects of the assessment, namely; aspects of fluency, attitude and facial expressions. From these aspects, students assessing the fluency aspect got the highest score, namely very good.

Abstract

The transformation of the role of school supervisors in accordance with the 2023 GTK Director General's Regulation aims,one of them is to improve the quality of learning processes and outcomes in elementary schools. The rationale for this policy lies in the need to strengthen academic and managerial supervision, as well as increase teacher competence in facing growing educational challenges. However, the implementation of this policy faces various problems, such as limited supervisory competence, limited resources, resistance to change, and limited supervisory time and personnel. Field data taken from a survey of 100 elementary school principals in Lawang and Singosari sub-districts, Malang district shows that 65% of them responded positively to this transformation, 20% felt that the policy was not optimal, and 15% were neutral. For reference This article refers to expert opinion and related journals, including the work of Sutopo and Munir (2020) on increasing the competence of school supervisors, as well as Arifin and Susanto (2022) which discusses the transformation of the role of supervisors in the digital era. Although there are challenges in implementation, the transformation of the role of school supervisors according to the 2023 Director General of GTK Regulation has significant potential to improve the quality of education in elementary schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of School Based Management (MBS) policies at the Driving School at SD Negeri 4 Ketindan, Lawang, Malang, East Java. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and document analysis. The research results show that the implementation of SBM at SD Negeri 4 Ketindan has shown several significant successes, especially in increasing the active participation of all stakeholders, including principals, teachers, students and parents in the decision-making process. The implementation of this policy has also encouraged improvements in the quality of learning and more effective and efficient resource management. However, this research also identified several challenges, such as limited human resources and facilities that still need to be improved. Support from local governments and increasing the capacity of teaching staff are key factors in overcoming these challenges. Overall, this research provides important insights into the effectiveness and challenges in implementing SBM in Driving Schools, as well as suggesting strategic steps to improve the quality of education in elementary schools. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference for developing educational policies in the future.
