Abstract

The aims of this research is to know the effect of Guided-Inquiry model on the indicators of science process skills, especially on Vibration and Waves Material. This research is done because of the importance of mastering indicators to identify the variables for students in experimenting. The research design which applied in this study was One-group Pre-test Post-test on 90 students of SMAN 1 Pasuruan. Data analysis technical using N-gain. For Class XI IPA 1 has an average N-Gain was 0,44. Ro Class XI IPA 2 has an average N-Gain was 0,47. Meanwhile for Class XI IPA 3 has an average N-Gain was 0,48. N-Gain was calculated based of pre-test and post-test results using the Science Process Skills Test, the results showed that there was a significant improvement of the students' science-process skill indicator for all three classes with N-gain score was 0.49. So, Guided-Inquiry model provide a good effect on the science process skill indicator on Vibration and Waves Material

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to increase learning outcome, through the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with peer tutor technique on XI Science Grade of SMAN 1 Tenggarong.This Pre-Experimental study was conducted on two stages are, lesson plan preparation and learning implementation on the class.  This study used One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The data were collected from observation, test and questionnaire.  After the data were analyzed, the results showed that(1) The feasibility of lesson plan could be categorized as very good; (2) The highest of student activity was to fulfill the student worksheets (16.3%); (3) Student responses to learning activity classified as good.  Generally, the most favored of science process skills were explorate, associate and communicate; (4) Learning outcomes were: (a) for cognitive score, the proportion of score test was increased  from 0,27 (pretest) to 0,90 (posttest) with the highest of average gain score was 0,87; (b) the student  skill achievement was very good; (c)  the student attitude was good; (d)  the mastery of individually and classical student learning have increased. It can be conclude that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model Type Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) with peer tutor technique is effective to increase learning outcome. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI)  dengan teknik tutor sebaya pada siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 1 Tenggarong. Penelitian Pre Experiment ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu persiapan perangkat pembelajaran dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, tes, dan kuisioner. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitpbl atif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1)  keterlaksanaan  RPP sangat baik; (2) aktifitas siswa tertinggi adalah mengisi LKS (16.3%) ; (3) respon siswa pada kegiatan pembelajaran rata-rata baik. Keterampilan proses sains yang disenangi umumnya mengeksplorasi, mengasosiasi dan mengkomunikasikan; (4) hasil belajar : (a) pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan proporsi hasil test dari 0.27 pada pretest menjadi 0.90 pada posttest dengan rata-rata score gain kategori tinggi (0.87); (b) nilai keterampilan sangat baik (3.44); (c) nilai sikap baik (3.13); (d) ketuntasan individu dan klasikal mengalami kenaikan dari 0% menjadi 100%.  Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI)  yang dipadukan dengan teknik tutor sebaya efektif dalam  meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to produce science learning materials that are feasible  to fascilitate student’s science process skill of junior high school. This research was conducted to implement the teaching and  learning materials based on guided inquiry model. This research developed them using Dick-Carey’s model and try outed using one group pre-test post-test design. The subjects of this research was science learning materials that consist of syllabus, lesson plan, student’s work sheet, instructional media, evaluation sheet to measure student’s science process skill. It was conducted to 28 eighth grade students in junior high school. The data were collected using validation, observation, test, and questionnaire. The data were analyzed  using descriptive quantitative and qualitative technique. The results  showed: (1) the teaching and learning materials developed are valid; (2) learning implementation got a good category; (3) the student’s participation  in actively learning; (4) student’s science process skill showed high category, (5) the students give positive response with very good category toward teaching and learning process. Based on this results, it can be concluded that the set of learning materials based on guided inquiry model have been developed are feasible to fascilitate  the student’s science process skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA model inkuiri terbimbing yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains  siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model Dick-Carey dan desain uji coba penelitian menggunakan one group pre-test post-test design. Subyek penelitian adalah perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari silabus, RPP, LKS, Buku Ajar Siswa, Instrumen Penilaian Keterampilan Proses Sains. Uji coba dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII SMP sebanyak 28 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan validasi, observasi, tes, dan pengisian angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perangkat yang dikembangkan valid; (2) pembelajaran terlaksana dengan kategori baik; (3) siswa menjadi aktif dalam pembelajaran (4) keterampilan proses sains menunjukkan kategori tinggi (5) siswa memberikan respon positif dengan kategori sangat baik terhadap pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA model inkuiri terbimbing yang telah dikembangkan layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP pada materi bioteknologi. Perangkat pembelajaran dengan model inkuiri untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif jarang tersedia, proses pembelajaran hanya berpusat pada guru saja sehingga siswa tidak aktif dikelas, padahal keaktifan siswa selama pembelajaran sangat penting karena membuat keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa menjadi terlatih. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan skill yang penting dimiliki pada abad 21. Penerapan berpikir kreatif dalam inkuiri akan menghasilkan beragam gagasan/ ide yang bermanfaat dalam memecahkan masalah dan siswa menjadi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Efektifitas yang diperoleh dari uji coba terbatas untuk mendapatkan skor N-gain dan uji sensitivitas. Metode penelitian menggunakan skor N-Gain berupa adatidaknya peningkatan nilai tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif pretest ke postest pada tiap indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang meliputi kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian dan kerincian. Metode penelitian ini juga menggunakan uji sensitivitas tiap butir soal tes mengandung indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif pretes ke postes pada tiap indikator dan bernilai efektif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berorientasi model inkuiri mampu melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. This research is a development research that aims todetermine the effectiveness of the inquiry learning model to train junior high school students' creative thinking skills in biotechnology chapter because learning tools with the inquiry model train creative thinking skills are not available, learning is only teacher-centered so that students are not active in class, even though student activity during learning is very important because it makes students' creative thinking skills trained. Creative thinking skills are important skills to have in the 21st century. The application of creative thinking in inquiry will generate many useful ideas in solving problems and students become active in learning. The type of research using descriptive quantitative research with a one group pretest-postest design research design. The effectiveness obtained from limited trials to obtain N-gain scores and sensitivity tests. The research method using the N-Gain score in the form of an increase in the value of the pretest to posttest creative thinking skills test on each indicator of creative thinking skills which included fluency, flexibility, originality and ellaboration. This research method also uses a sensitivity test for each test item which contains indicators of creative thinking skills. The sample using students of class IX SMP YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo. The results showed an increase in the value of the pretest to posttest creative skills test on each indicator and was effective. So it can be ignored that the inquiry model of science learning device can train students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

A develop research was done about science learning materials (lesson plans, student’s worksheets, student’s book, and learning achivement test) Scientific approach to the 4D models to teach life skills and the aim of improving student learning outcomes. This research was trial to 35 of junior high school’s students of class VII academic year 2014/2015 with One-group pretest-posttest design. Analysis data is descriptive quantitative-qualitative and the results are Validity of learning material valid (3.50);  Practicalitybased on:  Readability of worksheets and teaching materials 86% students interesting and easy to understand; Feasibility of instruction good category (3.5); Students response of positive (97%);  Effectiveness based on: Student activities are student center; student learning achivement increased (N-Gain: 0.75); Ability Life skills (Thinking skills, academic skills, social skills) have been trained and the result is increased. The conclusions of this research that science learning material with base Scientific approach to teach Life skills and and improve the student learning achivement in junior high school. Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran (RPP, LKS, Materi Ajar, Tes Hasil Belajar) dengan pendekatan Scientific model 4D yang bertujuan untuk melatihkan Life skills dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP. Perangkat pembelajaran diujicoba pada 35 siswa kelas VII semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/ 2015 dengan rancangan uji coba One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif- kualitatif dengan hasil Validitas perangkat kategori valid(3,50), Kepraktisan perangkat yang meliputi: Keterbacaan LKS dan materi ajar siswa 86% menarik dan mudah dipahami; Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sangat baik (3,5) ; Respon siswa positif (97%);  Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang meliputi:  Aktivitas siswa bersifat student centered; Hasil belajar siswa meningkat (N-Gain: 0,75); Kemampuan Life skills (Thinking skills, academic skills, social skills) telah dilatihkan dan hasilnya meningkat. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan Scientific layak untuk melatihkan life skills dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the Junior High School students science process skills. A set of instructional programs consisting of lesson implementation plan, student workbook, student worksheet, and assessment sheet, were developed based on the guided discovery method. Before the implementation, all of the instructional programs were validated and met the defined criteria. Thirty Blega Junior High School students involved in this investigation using One Group Pretest-Postest Design.Instructional package is valid, management of guided discovery learning between 3.5 until 4,0 (good)with reliability between 99% until 100% (reliabel). The most dominant student activity is practice science process skills (20,07%). Mastery tests of student learning outcomes and processes to better cognitive test increase 93%, science process skills 100% with gain score both of them 71% (high). Based on the results of this investigation can be concluded the developed guided discovery instructional programs is effective to improve the Junior High School students science process skills. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa mata pelajararan IPA yang rendah, kemungkinan di sebabkan keterampilan proses yang rendah, untuk itu perlu kiranya membuat perangkat pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang dimaksud adalah silabus, RPP, LKS, buku siswa, instrumen penilaian hasil belajar. Pengembanga nperangkat berorientasi Dick dan Carey dengan metode penemuan terbimbing dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Sampel penelitian 30 orang siswa SMP Negeri 1 Blega dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan hasil: Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah tervalidasi baik sampai sangat baik. Pengelolaan pembelajaran dengan penemuan terbimbing pada setiap tahapan /sintak penemuan terbimbing antara 3,5 sampai dengan 4,0 (baik ) dengan reliabilitas instrumen antara 99% dan 100% (reliabel). Aktivitas siswa yang paling dominan adalah berlatih keterampilan proses sains (20,07%), respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran positif. Ketuntasan  tes  hasil belajar kognitif siswa  93% sedangkan tes keterampilan proses sains 100% dengan skor peningkatan keduanya 71% (tinggi). Simpulan penelitian didapatkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berorientasi metode penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada konsep sistem pernafasan manusia.

Abstract

Scientific argumentation is an important skill in learning science that is integrated with science learning. The scientific argumentation in the science learning process is the basis for students to think, act and connect knowledge through argumentation to build their knowledge. This study aims to produce a Lesson Plan (LP) on the concept of harmonic motion, sound waves and light with the ADI learning model assisted by Lectora Inspire software that is valid and effective in improving the scientific argumentation skills of high school students. The type of research in this study is Research and Development which adapted the stages developed by Borg & Gall (1989), which are product-oriented in the education field with the research design one-group pretest-posttest design. The trial phase was carried out in Kendari 6 State Senior High School, Kendari 5 State Senior High School and Kendari 9 State Senior High School with 79 research subjects. The results showed that: Lesson Plan with the ADI learning model assisted by the developed Lectora Inspire software had validity with the average Aiken Index V = 0.89 with very high criteria and effectiveness with the Aiken Index V  = 0.77 with high criteria for improving skills scientific argumentation of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is produce physics learning material through guided inquiry model that valid, practical, and effective to improve learning outcomes of senior high school students. The development of learning material used the Kemp model and was tested X of SMA Hangtuah 1 Surabaya second semester in academic year 2013/2014 with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data of the study collected through observation, test, and questioner. The results of this research are: 1) Learning material developed has a valid category. 2) Learning material in terms of a practical category in feasibility of lesson plans and the students’ activities in accordance with steps of guided inquiry model. 3) The learning material effectiveness in terms of: (a) the increasing of students learning outcomes seen from exhaustiveness of indicator, individual, and classical; (b) the increasing of students’ comprehensiveness seen from high level of gain; (c) The students’ responds toward material and implementation of learning are very positive. Based on the findings of the study, It’s conclusion that the learning material through guided inquiry model are valid, practical, and effective to increasing students' learning outcomes. It showed through the students' comprehensiveness of the concept, psychomotor skills and character, which are students' discipline and responsible. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model inkuiri terbimbing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model Kemp dan diujicobakan di kelas X SMA Hangtuah 1 Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Temuan hasil penelitian, yaitu: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik dan sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model inkuiri terbimbing; dan 3) Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terlihat dari ketuntasan indikator, individual, dan klasikal; (b) Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terlihat dari gain dengan kategori tinggi; dan (c) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Fisika dengan model inkuiri terbimbing, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh pemahaman konsep siswa, keterampilan psikomotor siswa, dan karakter siswa yang meliputi disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa.

Abstract

Eco Campus is a national environmental management system and award scheme for the higher education sector for addressing key issues of environment. One of the education institutions at university level that was planned to implement an eco- campus is the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) especially at the Faculty of Mathematics and Science (FMIPA). However, to create such goal, it was important to begin with how to make the students have responsible environmental behavior (REB). Related to such problem, the pre experimental research has been conducted to promote three of responsible environmental behavior of students in Biology department of international class 2012, comprised of; eco-management action, persuasion, and economic/consumer action using the implementation of environmental education program. As a lifelong study, the environmental education was aimed to show that interdependency between humanity and the environment was needed to improve the human environment sustainability for the present and the future generations. This study was conducted using variety of data sources; observation, interview, questionnaire and test. Based on the data analyses descriptively and the discussion result, it was known that the ability of the lecturer to manage the learning activities for each category was good. Then, the implementation of environmental education program can promote three categories of responsible environmental behaviors of students. Moreover, the environmental education implemented in the current research has positive impact on students’ cognitive learning outcomes of environmental knowledge subject, especially the strategies for sustainable development topic, based on the UNESA grade standard.Eko-kampus adalah sebuah sistem manajemen lingkungan nasional dan skema penghargaan untuk sektor pendidikan tinggi untuk mengatasi permasalahan utama lingkungan. Salah satu lembaga pendidikan di tingkat universitas yang telah mencanangkan eko-kampus adalah Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) khususnya di Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA). Namun demikian, untuk mewujudkan tujuan tersebut, hal terpenting yang harus dipertimbangkan adalah bagaimana cara membentuk sikap mahasiswa memiliki perilaku yang bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan (REB).Terkait dengan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian pra-eksperimen telah dilakukan untuk mendorong terwujudnya tiga aspek perilaku yang bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan pada mahasiswa jurusan Biologi kelas internasional 2012, meliputi, tindakan eko-manajemen, persuasi, dan tindakan konsumen/ekonomi, melalui penerapan program pendidikan lingkungan. Sebagai pendidikan seumur hidup, pendidikan lingkungan bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bahwa saling ketergantungan antara manus ia dan lingkungan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kelestarian lingkungan hidup manusia untuk saat ini dan generasi yang akan datang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan berbagai teknik pengumpulan data meliputi, observasi, wawancara, angket dan tes. Berdasarkan analisis data secara deskriptif dan hasil pembahasan, diketahui bahwa kemampuan pengajar dalam mengelola aktivitas pembelajaran untuk setiap langkah pengajaran adalah baik. Kemudian, pelaksanaan program pendidikan lingkungan dapat mendorong tiga aspek perilaku yang bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan pada mahasiswa. Selain itu, pendidikan lingkungan yang telah diterapkan dalam penelitian ini memiliki dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pengetahuan lingkungan, terutama pada materi strategi untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan, berdasarkan pada standar penilaian UNESA.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains termasuk pondasi dasar dalam mempelajari fisika, namun peserta didik masih kurang dilatihkan di sekolah. Makalah ini ingin mendeskripsikan kelayakan Creative Responsibility Based Learning (CRBL) dalam memaksimalkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Perangkat CRBL yang sudah valid, kemudian diujicobakan kepada 34 peserta didik kelas XI MIA 3 SMA Negeri 9 Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan data melalui instrumen pengamatan keterlaksanaan CRBL meliputi: membangkitkan tanggung jawab kreatif, mengorganisasikan kebutuhan belajar kreatif, membimbing investigasi kelompok, aktualisasi tanggung jawab kreatif, evaluasi dan refleksi; serta pengamatan keterampilan proses sains meliputi: merumuskan masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, mengidentifikasi variabel, mendefinisi operasional variabel, melakukan percobaan, menganalis data, dan menarik simpulan. Pada setiap pertemuan, pendidik mampu melaksanakan fase-fase CRBL dengan baik. Selain itu, peserta didik mampu menggunakan keterampilan proses sains dengan sangat baik. Dengan demikian, CRBL termasuk layak untuk memaksimalkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika.
