Abstract

The Chinese government as one of the influential countries for world development also participates in efforts to protect equal women's rights and peace life realization. This was heard in the Chinese government's speech to the United Nations on October 1, 2020. This study aims to discuss the contents of the speech which represents the actions of feminism and dream of peace life by China by applying the theory of assertive speech acts and conventional implicatures to provide new understanding and knowledge related to real social issues developing now. Through this research, it can be seen that in the speech text, there are 3 purposes of assertive speech acts, namely 5 data to state, 4 data to claim, and 1 data to conclude. Each of these objectives has implicatures resulting from document studies supported by speech and news data that are realized in linguistic and social contexts. The stated goals are that China has actively voiced gender equality through the Beijing World Conferences on Women since 1995, is concerned about women's work, the existence of women is very influential in the 21st century, will always fight for women's rights, and long for an equal society. The purpose of the claim is that China claims the existence of women to create peace, oversees the progressive development of the existence of women's rights, guarantees women's protection rights, and that the country is an active country in voicing gender equality. The purpose of the conclusion is that China concludes that Chinese women love their country and are willing to fight for the safety of their people regardless of differences. The results of this study provide a description that China is now a country that struggles to protect women and yearns for a peace life.

Abstract

The skill of writing letters is a basic competency that is used as a reference for more complex learning process. Learning in Mandarin has no exception, which has a Hanzi typeface which has very basic differences for Indonesian native-speaking learners. To help overcome difficulties writing hanzi , research has been carried out using the mentoring learning model. Through this learning model, students are given the opportunity to be creative and renew their maximum potential to actualize it into works of calligraphy in the form of Chinese writing. During the calligraphy writing process students receive assistance. To get feedback, data analysis was carried out including data obtained from technical observations, aspects of interaction between educators and students, interactions between students, the implementation stage, then data in the form of students' calligraphy writing results, as well as the evaluation stage. Hanzi calligraphy is analyzed based on the number of strokes, stroke order, stroke construction, and aesthetic aspects. Based on the data analysis results can be used to draw conclusions, that the mentoring learning model has shown a very significant role in helping students overcome difficulties and at the same time being able to build competence in writing Chinese hanzi calligraphy.

Abstract

This article describes the use of quantitative data processing using the Chi-Square Test (X2) analytical statistical technique, which is applied to linguistic problems related to the relationship between first singular pronouns and the data corpus. Based on a corpus of data collected from the website of Badan Bahasa in the form of books by 18 writers in 2016, 2017 and 2018, this article measures the relationship between singular first person pronouns AKU and SAYA to a data corpus. Chi-Square test (X2) determines the relationship between these two variables (namely AKU and SAYA) to the data corpus. The results of the analysis show that there is an association pattern that cannot be said to be statistically random between the appearance or absence of the pronouns AKU and SAYA in the existing corpus. With quantitative analysis like the one shown in this study, the association pattern of apparently random variants can finally be statistically proven as well. The existence of a statistically significant distribution raises the possibility of linguistically interesting things to be investigated further.

Abstract

Wangsalan is a style of language in Javanese literature that is unique and complicated. Its uniqueness is in the structure and way of production. The structure of the wangsalan consists of the sampiran or opening and the contents. The sampiran or opening of the wangsalan is in the form of a puzzle or a puzzle. The contents of the wangsalan itself are in the form of the message the speaker wants to convey. Between the riddle and the content of wangsalan there is a relationship of meaning but only a relationship of form. The relationship between these forms lies in the answer to the riddle with wangsalan intent. The interpretation of wangsalan is quite complicated because it contains the phenomenon of transposition of meaning. Transposition of meaning in wangsalan occurs in denotative meaning with associative meaning. Transposition of meaning is an attempt to connect differences in lingual forms with the speaker's intention. As a result, separation and discontinuity of form can meet. Therefore, the connecting tool to reconcile these differences is an emotive device. The emotive device acts as a liaison between the puzzle and the intent and content of the wangsalan. There are three emotive tools, namely phonetic, lexical and syntactic. These three tools can be used as principles for producing wangsalan. Based on this discussion, the contribution to learning about wangsalan material is that wangsalan is not only related to sounds but also words. Wangsalan is not classified as a metaphor because the stem or answer and the contents of the wangsalan have no relationship in meaning to the intended characteristics. The relationship is limited to the affinity of form and meaning like a pantun or parikan

Abstract

As the title suggests, the purpose of this study is to examine the deconstruction of the myths of wayang Ramayana and Barata Yuda as well as the character values contained in the novels Kitab Omong Blank and the novel War. The discussion is carried out using the characteristics of deconstruction with the result that in The Book of Nonsense, War and War a critical view of the satriya myth is voiced. Rama, Laksamana and Pandawa in the novel are no longer in accordance with the myth of the perfect wayang satriya which represents truth, straight and strong, but reckless, evil and ridiculous. The results of the study show that the myths in wayang have been dismantled and deconstructed by Seno Gumira and Putu Wijaya to uncover and express views and appreciation of the problems of today's socio-cultural life by incorporating character values in the form of: (a) courage, patriotism and love of the land water; (b) humanity/compassion (empathy, caring, helpful), (c) inspirational, fair, patient, honest, disciplined, cooperative, and tolerant.
