Abstract

ABSTRACTBased on the observation in the classroom, upright writing skillsis less desirable for students. This is known in the implementation of writing the value of students is still low and many are still less tidy or not in accordance with the spelling. This research attempts to apply contrastive techniques in upright writing skills. The formulation of the problem, namely: (1) how is the activity of writing writing upright with the application of contrastive techniques to the students of grade 1 elementary school in Madiun Regency ?; And (2) how the students' learning outcomes in writing upright with the implementation of the technique of contrastive. in grade 1 elementary school students in Madiun Regency? The purpose of this research is to describe the activity and the result of learning to write upright with continuous technique. This research is a qualitative research to know the application of contrastive technique in learning writing. The research data is the 1st grader of SD in Madiun Regency. The method used to collect data in the form of observation and test. Keywords: contrastive technique, upright writing skills

Abstract

Fitur  linguistis  berperan  strategis  dalam  pendekatan  pengajaran  bahasa  berbasis teks.Peran  strategis  tersebut  terletak  pada  posisinya  sebagai  faktor  distingtif antarjenis  teks.Dengan  memahami  fitur  linguistis,  peserta  didik  mendapatkan kemudahan  dalam  membedakan  antarjenis  teks.Akan  tetapi,  fakta  di  lapangan menunjukkan  fenomena  yang  berbeda  karena  fitur  linguistis  disamakan  dengan aspek  gramatika.Akibatnya,  substansi  kajiannya  bukan  fitur-fitur  linguistis  per jenis  teks,  melainkan  aspek  gramatika  yang  tidak  dapat  digunakan  untuk membedakan  antarjenis  teks.Hal  tersebut  dalam  perspektif  akademis merupakan masalah besar yang perlu penanganan  secepat-cepatnya agar pembelajaran dapat segera dikembalikan pada rel yang benar dan peserta didik tidak dirugikan.Terkait dengan hal  tersebut, pada  tulisan  ini diuraikan  fitur  linguistis beberapa  jenis  teks sebagai  sampel  dan  contoh-contohnya.  Sampel  yang  dapat  dikembangkan  pada kesempatan yang berbeda dengan berdasar prinsip analogi dan komparasi tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi  inspirasi bagi penulis buku dan guru berbagai  jenjang pendidikan dalam mengajarkan  ragam  teks bahasa  Indonesia dengan pendekatan pengajaran bahasa berbasis teks.

Abstract

Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) organized by The Japan Foundation twice a year in July and December is an international test which aims to measure the Japanese language skill of Japanese language learners around the world. JLPT has 5 levels in which level N5 is the lowest or basic level, while N1 is the highest or proficient level which is considered on par with the Japanese native speakers. Level IV students in school year 2016/2017 who have been able to achieve JLPT level N1 are proud achievements for Japanese Literature Study Program of Brawijaya University. Therefore, this research aims to see the learning strategy of Japanese language used by students who achieved JLPT level N1 in period II of 2016. In fact, they never visit Japan to stay, study, or even travel. The learning strategies of students studied through foreign language learning strategy as revealed by Oxford (1990) are memory, cognitive, and compensation in the category of direct strategy as well as metacognitive, affective, and social strategies in the category of indirect strategy. The used research methodology is qualitative research methodology of case study through questionnaire, interview, and observation. The research shows the result that learning strategy of Japanese language used by students to achieve JLPT level N1 are memory, cognitive, metacognitive, and compensation strategies by using several medias from anime (Japanese cartoon), Japanese movie, video game, Japanese songs, and even Japanese books like manga (Japanese comic) and novel. These students seldom use affective and social strategies. It is known from their lecturer that these students are less proficient in socialization and oral production.

Abstract

Preschool age is a golden age in child development, including the development of language. This research focus on the types and patterns of sentences Javanese preschool children in early Childhood Islamiyah Madiun To explain the focus, the researcher used descriptive-qualitative. Data are collected from 12 children by observation and recorded. Data are analized by distributional analysis. The results showed that the sentence form preschoolers including at the level of a simple sentence which declarative, interrogative, and an imperative sentence. The sentence patterns are single sentences and complex sentences.

Abstract

Pramoedya Ananta Toer (Pram) banyak menghasilkan karya tulis. Karya tulis itu ada yang berupa novel, drama, esai, dan karya tulis lainnya. Di antara karya esai Pram yang terkenal adalah Jalan Raya Pos, Jalan Daendels (JRPJD). Dalam esai tersebut Pram bercerita tentang terjadinya genosida/pembunuhan masal, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung yang telah terjadi di Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti akan mengaji esai tersebut menggunakan kritik sastra Kajian Budaya dengan pendekatan historis. Kritik sastra Kajian Budaya dengan pendekatan historis ini merupakan model analisis kualitatif deskriptif. Fokus permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah: pertama, bagaimana bentuk representasi genosida terhadap orang-orang Indonesia dalam esai JRPJD karya Pram?; kedua bagaimana klarifikasi sejarah terhadap representasi Pram tentang peristiwa genosida terhadap orang-orang Indonesia dalam esai JRPJD? Dari hasil analisis terhadap esai JRPJD tersebut diperoleh hasil berupa informasi bahwa genosida terhadap orang-orang Indonesia pernah dilakukan oleh orang Belanda, orang Jepang, dan oleh orang Indonesia sendiri. Sedangkan jika diklarifikasi dengan sejarah nasional Indonesia, secara umum apa yang direpresentasikan oleh Pram tentang kisah genosida terhadap orang-orang Indonesia dalam esai JRPJD adalah merupakan peristiwa yang benar-benar pernah terjadi di Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses about presentation of spiritualitty the traditional society in Jatisaba novels by Ramayda Akmal. Spirituality was the core which is one reason that someone in entities do something. Spirituality also a top to be achieved by someone after do something.  Be spiritual means has ties more on this to be a chaplaincy and psychological compared with this to be physical and material. Meaning spirituality understood as a series of characteristic motivasional, the emotional common cause, direct and choose diverse mannerisms individuals. Individuals will try to building an understanding of goals and purport to live in. Spirituality open the door to expand understanding of motivation and goal individuals. Transdensi spiritual individual reflect the ability to stand erect build lives of sight more plural, with the realization and meaning deeper accompained purport to the purpose live in a relationship that more enduring; relationship with one God. The individual is a part comunity. Spirituality community to describe in this novels identified by a set of an idea or ideas related to the belief system. The belief system in perspective anthropology includes two things interconected, there are the system religious and religious ceremony.

Abstract

Sebagaimana dikemukakan para pakar sastra bahwa karya sastra  tidak berangkat dari  kekosongan  budaya,  sistem  sastra  tertentu  tidak  tumbuh  dan  berkembang dalam  isolasi  mutlak,  kemunculan  karakteristik  tertentu  pada  karya  bukanlah sesuatu yang khas secara  inheren pada dirinya sendiri. Hal-hal  tersebut memiliki hubungan  dengan  aspek-aspek  lain  di  luar  sastra.  Pendapat-pendapat  tersebut  menegaskan  bahwa  eksistensi  karya  sastra  terkait  dengan  ekologinya.  Yang dimaksud  ekologi  adalah  segala  sesuatu  yang melingkupi  proses  dan  karenanya menginspirasi  penciptaan  karya  satra.  Dalam  paradigma  ekologis,  karya  sastra diposisikan sebagai suatu species atau komponen dalam sebuah ekosistem. Hidup dan  berkembangnya  sebuah  karya  sastra  adalah  akibat  aksi  dan  reaksi  ekologis dalam  kondisi  ekosistem  tertentu  yang  kompleks  dan  kait-mengkait.  Dalam paradigma ekologi, kemunculan karya sastra bisa dipandang sebagai bukti adanya evolusi,  adaptasi,  atau  kemungkinan-kemungkinan  unik  lainnya. Kajian  ekologi terhadap  karya  sastra  dimungkinkan  karena  ada  kesejajaran  antara  fenomena karya sastra dan fenomena organisme dalam ekosistemnya. Oleh karena itu, kajian ekologi  terhadap  karya  sastra  juga  dapat memanfaatkan  pendekatan-pendekatan dalam penelitian ekologi.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan prinsip kerja sama dalam percakapan berbahasa Inggris melalui telepon di radio  Mas FM.  Penelitian ini menginvestigasi dua masalah, yaitu (1) rentang penggunaan prinsip kerja sama, dan (2) tujuan si penutur dalam ranah tindak ilokusi. Prinsip kerja sama mempunyai empat maksim, kuantitas, kualitas, hubungan, dan cara. Tindak ilokusi mempunyai empat fungsi: bersaing, beramah tamah, berkolaborasi, dan bertentangan. Desain penelitian adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah para partisipan tutur: presenter, tamu di studio, dan pendengar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa secara umum keempat maksim dalam prinsip kerja sama diaplikasikan oleh partisipan tutur. Tindak tutur yang diaplikasikan oleh para parisipan tutur adalah fungsi bersaing, beramah tamah, dan berkolaborasi. Sedangkan fungsi bertentangan tidak diaplikasikan oleh para partisipan tutur.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the steps of making Japanese language media that can be used in smart phones with listening material using the Hot Potatoes device and to find out the difficulties and obstacles that occur in its application in the classroom. The media products produced with Hot Potatoes are in the form of HTML file formats that can be opened in almost any smartphone browser. The Hot Potatoes media products are made in such a way that students can listen and interact with the media. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The study was conducted on 58 students of  SMAN 1 Probolinggo as media users. From the results of the questionnaire, observations and interviews, it is known that Hot Potatoes media works well in almost all smartphone browsers. The obstacle is that when the process of distributing files takes a long time, the voice player feature does not work. After further observation, these problems can be overcome so students are ready to use the Hot Potatoes-JCloze media for listening learning with all its limitations.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss lingual data of defamation cases based on analysis, lexical semantics, grammatical semantics, and pragmatic analysis (speech acts) which are part of linguistic forensic studies. From the lingual data on defamation that has been analyzed based on the three points of view, the following findings are obtained: (1) based on the lexical semantic analysis found the lexical meaning / meaning of word denotation; (2) based on the grammatical semantic analysis, the meaning of phrases, sentences, and discourse in accordance with the intended by the speaker; (3) there are speech acts of illocution and expressive perlokusi, both from speakers and partners said. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that a speech is classified as defamation and this can be utilized by the investigator as one of the basis for the preparation of the investigation event (BAP) as well as the decision making for the legal sanction for the defamation perpetrator
