Abstract

This paper aims to discuss lingual data of defamation cases based on analysis, lexical semantics, grammatical semantics, and pragmatic analysis (speech acts) which are part of linguistic forensic studies. From the lingual data on defamation that has been analyzed based on the three points of view, the following findings are obtained: (1) based on the lexical semantic analysis found the lexical meaning / meaning of word denotation; (2) based on the grammatical semantic analysis, the meaning of phrases, sentences, and discourse in accordance with the intended by the speaker; (3) there are speech acts of illocution and expressive perlokusi, both from speakers and partners said. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that a speech is classified as defamation and this can be utilized by the investigator as one of the basis for the preparation of the investigation event (BAP) as well as the decision making for the legal sanction for the defamation perpetrator

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pelaksanaan penilaian formatif di SMA dan sederajat di Jawa Timur di masa pandemi covid 19. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-November 2020. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen angket yang disebarkan ke responden pada waktu pertemuan MGMP bahasa Jepang wilayah Jawa Timur dan dikuatkan dengan metode wawancara. Responden sejumlah 51 guru bahasa Jepang yang hadir dalam pertemuan MGMP bahasa Jepang wilayah Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pembelajaran daring merupakan sesuatu yang baru bagi sistem pembelajaran kita namun bapak ibu guru anggota MGMP Bahasa Jepang wilayah Jawa Timur dengan cepat dapat beradaptasi dan dapat melaksanakan proses pembelajaran dengan baik. Meskipun tidak dapat kita hindari bahwa adanya kendala sinyal yang dikarenakan tidak semua daerah dapat terjangkau jaringan internet dengan baik namun ini tidak menghalangi proses pembelajaran bahasa Jepang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana persepsi dan praktik calon guru bahasa Jepang tentang literasi asesmen bahasa. Responden penelitian ini adalah tujuh orang mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang yang telah menyelesaikan program praktik mengajar di sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data/penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah responden memiliki persepsi yang baik tentang literasi asesmen bahasa, namun kurang dapat menerapkannya dalam praktik pelaksanaan asesmen bahasa Jepang, khususnya pada tahapan penyusunan tes dan pelaksanaan analisis butir soal.  Hal ini menyiratkan bahwa responden sebagai calon guru bahasa Jepang masih perlu meningkatkan literasi asesmen bahasa dan praktiknya

Abstract

Students' reading literacy in this case understanding, reflecting, and retelling a reading is one of the factors to determine the level of language mastery for foreign language students. This study, it is discussed the basic Japanese language skills of first-year students of the Japanese Language Education study program, Surabaya State University associated with their Japanese reading literacy using Japanese reading with topics about mythical animals in Indonesia equipped with image visualization. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of basic Japanese mastery of students in terms of understanding and retelling readings based on JF Standards. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative, whose data is taken from a questionnaire on self-evaluation distributed to 25 students in the Shokyu Dokkai course. From the results of this study, it is known that the Japanese language skills of these first-year students based on the JF Standard are on average at level A2. With this result, it is hoped that it can be used as a reference for treatment in further learning

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of developing local wisdom-oriented flashcard media for learning speaking skills integrated with writing and reading skills in Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) at Surabaya State University and to describe the quality of local wisdom-oriented flashcard media for learning Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) at State University Surabaya. Development research focuses on product development. The product developed in this research is flashcards learning media. This research approach is mixed methods. The research model in this development research uses the Addie research model. This research procedure uses the ADDIE development model. The ADDIE development procedure has five procedures, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations. The results obtained in the development of East Java local wisdom-oriented flashcards media in speaking learning integrated with reading and writing for Indonesian Language and Foreign Speakers (BIPA) students at the Faculty of Languages ??and Arts, Surabaya State University resulted in the conclusion that East Java local wisdom-oriented flashcard media can be used in learning spoke about BIPA because it had carried out a series of ADDIE development stages which were based on needs analysis. ADDIE's stages in developing flashcards media are analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Based on the five development stages, flashcards media has gone through the evaluation stage, namely changing or improving according to the direction of the validator. Penelitian pengembangan berfokus pada pengembangan produk. Produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini yakni media pembelajaran flashcards. Pendekatan penelitian ini yakni mixed methods. Model penelitian dalam penelitian pengembangan ini yakni menggunakan model penelitian Addie. Prosedur penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Prosedur pengembangan ADDIE memiliki lima prosedur yakni Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pengembangan media flashcards berorientasi kearifan lokal Jawa Timur pada pembelajaran Berbicara berintegrasi membaca dan menulis peserta didik Bahasa Indonesia Penutur Asing (BIPA) Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Surabaya menghasilkan simpulan yakni media flashcards berorientasi kearifan lokal Jawa Timur dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran berbicara BIPA karena telah melakukan rangkaian tahapan pengembangan ADDIE yang dilandasi oleh analisis kebutuhan. Tahapan ADDIE dalam pengembangan media flashcards ini yakni analisis, desain, development, implementacion, dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan kelima tahapan pengembangan tersebut, media flashcards telah melalui hingga tahapan evaluasi yakni mengubah atau memperbaiki sesuai arahan validator.

Abstract

The conditions of human personality and motivation significantly influence all activities undertaken, including during the learning process. The ability to recite poetry is one of the learning achievements in the Indonesian language subject in the realm of literature. This research aims to identify the conditions of personality types, learning motivation, and the ability to recite literary poetry in vocational school (SMK) students. In addition to describing each component, these three variables will be interconnected to determine the strength of the relationships that occur. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The population used consists of 10th-grade students at SMKN 12 Surabaya, with the research sample being 32 students from the X-2 class majoring in Creative Metal Crafts and Jewelry. Data collection is carried out using questionnaire and observation techniques. After the data is collected, a multiple correlation analysis is performed with the aim of demonstrating the relationship between the three research variables. The results of this research include: 1) The personality type of X-2 students majoring in Creative Metal Crafts and Jewelry at SMKN 12 Surabaya tends to be introverted; 2) The learning motivation of X-2 students majoring in Creative Metal Crafts and Jewelry at SMKN 12 Surabaya is in the Very Low category; 3) The ability to recite poetry of X-2 students majoring in Creative Metal Crafts and Jewelry at SMKN 12 Surabaya is classified as insufficient or falls into category D; 4) The personality type (X1) and learning motivation (X2) variables together have a positive and significant correlation in the Moderate category with the ability to recite poetry variable (Y), with a correlation coefficient value of 0.526.

Abstract

The emergence of advanced artificial intelligence-based machines such as ChatGPT has brought about changes in the scientific writing process, especially among students. Aspects of originality, creativity, and quality of writing results in the scientific writing process need to be studied to maintain academic integrity, open up opportunities for idea development, and produce coherent and structured writing.  This study aims to analyze the use of ChatGPT as a tool in the process of scientific writing in Indonesian, especially in writing the background of the problem for the preparation of the final project of Informatics Engineering study program students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with content analysis approach. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique.  Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. A total of 18 students of class R67 in semester VI of the Informatics Engineering study program, Indraprasta PGRI University Jakarta were selected because they routinely use ChatGPT in working on scientific writing assignments. Data was collected by reviewing documents in the form of the results of the task of writing the background of the problem made by students using ChatGPT as a tool in the Scientific Writing course. The use of ChatGPT in scientific writing offers significant benefits in terms of creativity and writing quality. The results show that this technology can make learning more efficient by creating new concepts and improving understanding of research ideas. In addition, ChatGPT also helps to produce quality writing. However, ethical issues related to academic integrity should be considered by analyzing the originality aspect through similarity check with turnitin application. Therefore, while ChatGPT provides many benefits in improving the academic writing process, it is imperative to balance these benefits with careful attention to ethical considerations to maintain academic integrity.

Abstract

Humans need language as a communication tool to send messages directly or indirectly. One way to communicate through indirect messages is by literature arts, such as drama series that can strengthen the impression of conveying the meaning of utterance. In this research, the use of erotetic language style by Sūnwùkōng in the drama series xīyóujì. This research aims to describe the forms and functions of erotetic language style by Sūnwùkōng. The erotetic language style is commonly used in speech or poetry, but in this drama series, Sūnwùkōng uses this style extensively in his utterance, therefore, this type of research is qualitative research because the data is based on the form of utterance of Sūnwùkōng, therefore the method used is a descriptive method. From the results of the analysis, 40 data were obtained with five kinds of stylistic markers of erotetic, including 5 data markers 难道 nándào; 12 marker data 怎么 zěnme; 4 marker data 这么 zhème; 8 marker data 呢 ne; and 11 吗 ma marker data. The function of erotetic language style expressed is as a form of emphasis on something, specifically angry, accusation, rejection, joy, surprise, amazed, and underestimate.
