Abstract

This study aims to determine the levels of IFN-γ in patients with SO TB and RO TB and to analyze the differences in IFN-γ levels in patients with RO TB and SO TB. The research method used is descriptive-analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The results showed that of the 50 respondents with Pulmonary TB, the largest percentage of respondents were male (52%) and in the adult age category (44%). The examination results showed that the average IFN-γ level in patients with RO TB was lower, namely 65.38 pg/ml compared to the average IFN-γ level in patients with SO TB, namely 82.37 pg/ml. In conclusion, there is a significant difference between IFN-γ levels in patients with SO TB and RO TB. Keywords: Interferon Gamma, Drug-Resistant TB (RO TB)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between HbA1C and lipid profiles consisting of total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL-C, and LDL-C as predictors of heart disease complications in patients with type 2 diabetes. The method used is observational analytic with a cross-sectional design. The results showed that the average HbA1c level was 9.01%; the average Lipid Profile levels were total cholesterol: 240.98 mg/dL, triglycerides: 170.08 mg/dL, HDL-C: 43.86 mg/dL and LDL-C: 161.56 mg/dL. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed a relationship between HbA1C and lipid profiles (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL) in patients with type 2 diabetes at H. Abdul Manap Regional Hospital, Jambi City. The conclusion of the study is that type 2 DM patients have poor glycemic control (average HbA1C levels of 9.01%, with dyslipidemia (total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL-C increased and low HDL-C), a relationship was found between HbA1C and lipid profiles. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in vitamin D3 levels in fish oil in the body parts of lamb fish. The method used is an experiment with a Factorial Randomized Design with three replications. The results showed that the Vitamin D3 content in lamb fish oil is quite high, ranging from 767.52 IU / g to 787.34 IU / g. The highest vitamin D3 content is in group one, namely the whole fish (scales, head, meat, bones, and innards). The conclusion is that there is a significant difference between the vitamin D3 content in fish oil and whole fish, meat, meat, and waste. Keywords: Inflammation, Fish Oil, Flat Lambak, Vitamin D

Abstract

This study aims to review previous studies related to adherence to taking antihypertensive medication in elderly hypertensive patients to determine the factors that influence the adherence of elderly people suffering from hypertension who consume antihypertensive medicines. The method used is the scoping review analysis method. Article searches using databases from Scopus, Wiley, and Semantic Scholar with a research period from 2019 to 2024, with the keywords "factor" AND "adherence" AND "medication" AND "hypertension" AND "older" OR "adult". The articles are in full-text form, accessible, in English, limited to the last 6 years, and no country restrictions, and discuss adherence to taking antihypertensive medication in the elderly. The results showed that 6 articles met the inclusion criteria after going through the selection process. All articles used quantitative methods and came from the United States (2 articles), China (1 article), Thailand (1 article), Brazil (1 article), and Korea (1 article). The average age of participants was between 65-80 years and above. Factors that influence compliance with taking antihypertensive medication in the elderly. In conclusion, factors that influence compliance with taking antihypertensive medication in the elderly with hypertension consist of the elderly's factors (intrinsic factors) and other factors (extrinsic factors). Abstract

This study aims to determine the levels of Fe and Zn serum in patients with pulmonary TB with DM and without DM. The research method used is descriptive-analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The results showed that the average level of iron (Fe) serum in patients with pulmonary TB was 111.67 μg / dL, and the average level of iron (Fe) serum in patients with pulmonary TB with DM was 61.23, μg / dL. For serum zinc levels, the average level of zinc (Zn) serum in patients with pulmonary TB was 101.29 μg / dL, and the average level of zinc serum in patients with pulmonary TB with DM was 76.38 μg / dL. The study concludes that there is a difference in the average levels of Fe and Zn in patients with pulmonary TB and patients with pulmonary TB with DM. Keywords: Fe, TB, TB-DM, Zinc

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and self-care management behavior in hypertensive clients. The research method uses a correlation research design with a cross-sectional approach. The results showed that most hypertensive clients have sufficient family support (61.5%) and good self-care management behavior (86.2%). The results of the Spearman rank correlation test, the majority of clients have sufficient family support and good self-care management behavior (57.7%), the correlation level is in the weak category, and the direction of the relationship is positive with a value of r = 0.278 and p-value = 0.001 (p <0.05). In conclusion, there is a relationship between family support and self-care management behavior in hypertensive clients in the weak category and the direction of the relationship is positive. Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of laughter therapy in reducing anxiety levels among individuals undergoing hemodialysis. This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach, utilizing a non-equivalent group design comprising an intervention group that receives laughter therapy and a control group that receives regular education from hemodialysis nurses. The results demonstrated that following a four-week intervention period, there was a notable reduction in anxiety levels among the intervention group, with a p-value of 0.04. However, the laughter therapy intervention group exhibited a more pronounced decline in anxiety levels, with a p-value of 0.00. In conclusion, it can be recommended that laughter therapy interventions be applied in the implementation of nursing care in the hemodialysis unit to reduce anxiety levels, thereby improving the quality of life of hemodialysis patients. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design the implementation of change through the initiation of management of primary nursing care delivery methods. The method used is a case report with interviews, observations, document reviews, and questionnaire surveys as well as problem analysis using fishbone diagrams. The results of the analysis showed that the method of providing nursing care in the inpatient room was not optimal, so through a change approach using the Kurt Lewin;s Change Model, the initiation of management of primary nursing care delivery methods was carried out. In conclusion, optimizing nursing care delivery methods through the implementation of primary nursing care management methods with a systematic and structured management approach has the potential to improve the quality of nursing services. Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence children's knowledge of balanced nutrition. The method used is a literature review. This research data was taken from four relevant databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, EBSCO and Google Scholar using the PIOS (Participant, Intervention, Outcomes and Study Design) method. The results of the research show that the data taken are journals published in 2020-2024 in English and Indonesian (open access and full text) as well as original articles. Of the n= 3,252 articles found, only n=10 met the inclusion criteria. This literature review explains that there are several factors that are considered to influence knowledge of balanced nutrition, namely level of knowledge, behavior, attitudes, eating patterns, the role of parents and peers. In conclusion, it can be concluded that several of these factors are very important in order to formulate more comprehensive nursing interventions, which are expected to improve the quality of children's physical, psychological and social health.
