Abstract

The Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (VRPTW) is a challenging NP-hard problem in logistics optimization. This study evaluates a Swarm-Genetics algorithm, a hybrid method combining Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Genetic Algorithm (GA) with swarm regeneration and adaptive parameter control. The algorithm was tested on 57 Solomon benchmark instances (C, R, RC) under three random seeds to assess robustness. Results show that the algorithm is robust across seeds, producing stable outcomes with minimal variation. It frequently preserves fleet efficiency, often matching the Best Known Solutions (BKS) in vehicle count, particularly for clustered instances. However, routing distances remain less competitive, with average gaps of about 10% for clustered, 12–13% for random, and over 20% for mixed cases. Convergence analysis further indicates rapid early improvements but stagnation in complex distributions. Overall, Swarm-Genetics provides a robust and fleet-efficient framework, though further enhancements are needed to improve distance quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STAD cooperative learning model in improving mathematical concept understanding and self-efficacy among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi. Using a Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, this study involved class VIII-5 as the experimental group and class VIII-6 as the control group, which were selected randomly. Based on the research conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test, the results showed that there was a difference in the average mathematical concept understanding of students between the experimental class using the STAD learning model and the control class using the direct learning model. This result was based on an Asymp Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002 < 0.05 and supported the research hypothesis that the use of the STAD model was effective in improving students' mathematical concept understanding. In terms of student self-efficacy, using the independent t-test, a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.650 > 0.05 was obtained, indicating that there was no difference in the average self-efficacy of students between the STAD learning model and the direct learning model.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara dengan keberagaman agama, budaya, dan kondisi geografis yang sangat kaya. Untuk memastikan kebijakan layanan keagamaan yang merata dan adil, penelitian ini menganalisis keberagaman karakteristik daerah. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengklasifikasikan provinsi-provinsi di Indonesia berdasarkan data layanan keagamaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah hierarchical clustering dengan lima algoritma dan tiga ukuran jarak. Kombinasi average linkage dan jarak chebyshev menghasilkan koefisien korelasi cophenetic tertinggi (0,969), menjadikannya algoritma paling optimal. Uji silhouette coefficient menunjukkan dua klaster sebagai jumlah optimal, dengan nilai silhouette coefficient sebesar 0,736, dan uji ANOVA memvalidasi bahwa perbedaan antar klaster signifikan. Klaster pertama terdiri dari Provinsi Aceh, Jawa Timur, Jawa Barat, dan Jawa Tengah, yang memiliki rata-rata setiap variabel lebih tinggi. Klaster kedua mencakup seluruh provinsi lainnya, termasuk DKI Jakarta, yang menunjukkan bahwa masih ada peluang untuk peningkatan kualitas layanan keagamaan. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran penting bagi Kementerian Agama untuk terus berupaya meningkatkan kualitas layanan keagamaan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia, dengan fokus pada perbaikan aspek layanan yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas X MAN 1 Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas X MAN 1 Medan tahun pelajaran 2025/2026. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu kelas X-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE dan kelas X-8 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajar dengan pembelajaran langsung. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t sampel independen, N-Gain, dan Cohen’s d. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai thitung = 4,368 > ttabel = 1,999, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Nilai Cohen’s d = 1,1 termasuk kategori efek tinggi, sedangkan nilai N-Gain = 0,621 berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran CORE berpengaruh signifikan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas X MAN 1 Medan.

Abstract

Cholera is an infectious disease transmitted through water contaminated with Vibrio cholerae bacteria. This disease remains a public health challenge, especially in areas with poor sanitation. This study developed an SVIQR-B mathematical model to analyze the dynamics of cholera spread, taking into account the effects of quarantine, vaccination, and environmental hygiene education. The analysis was conducted on disease-free and endemic equilibrium points using a local stability approach based on the basic reproduction number (R0). The results showed that when R0 < 1 , the disease would disappear from the population, while R0 > 1 indicated the potential for endemicity. Sensitivity analysis and numerical simulation results indicate that an increase in the transmission rate and a decrease in vaccine effectiveness cause an increase in the value, while an increase in vaccination coverage and the effectiveness of education contribute to a decrease in infection rates. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing integrated medical and educational interventions in efforts to control cholera in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Learning achievement is the result of a learning activity accompanied by changes achieved by a person (student) expressed in the form of symbols, numbers, letters, or sentences as a measure of the student's success levels. This study aims to determine the discriminant model and factors that significantly affect the learning achievement of geometry transformation in class IX UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Kupang. The subjects in this study were students of class IX UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Kupang which amounted to 100. The type of research in this study is quantitative research while the method used is survey method. Data analysis techniques in this study used discriminant analysis for two groups analyzed using SPSS software. From the results of the study obtained a discriminant model of the factors that affect the learning achievement of geometry transformation of class IX students in UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Kupang, namely  where D is student learning achievement and X1 is learning motivation. The factor that has the most significant effect on the learning achievement of geometry transformation of grade IX students in UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Kupang is learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model with the STEAM approach on students' critical thinking skills and their response to the model. Using a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, this study involved ninth-grade students with similar academic characteristics from a junior high school in Serang City. The sample consisted of 72 students from two classes: IX E as the experimental class that applied PBL-STEAM and IX A as the control class that used the collaborative model. The results showed that 1) students' critical thinking skills with the PBL-STEAM model were better than students who applied the collaborative model based on the experimental class posttest results with an average value of 83.33, superior to the control class, which was only 78.19. 2) Analysis of student response questionnaires showed that the application of the PBL-STEAM model received a positive response and was able to increase student knowledge of the material taught. 3) The PBL-STEAM model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills so that it becomes one of the alternative learning models that can be applied by teachers in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Berpikir komputasional merupakan salah satu keterampilan kunci yang perlu diajarkan kepada semua siswa karena berperan penting membentuk cara berpikir logis dan sistematis dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses berpikir komputasional siswa dalam memecahkan masalah kontekstual matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Mataram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian yaitu 6 siswa terpilih dari 33. Data penelitian terdiri atas jawaban siswa dan hasil wawancara semi terstruktur. Proses berpikir komputasional siswa dilihat melalui indikator dekomposisi, pengenalan pola, abstraksi, dan berpikir algoritma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir komputasional kategori tinggi mampu menyelesaikan masalah hingga tahap berpikir algoritma, meskipun masih terdapat kesalahan. Siswa pada kategori sedang umumnya juga mencapai tahap algoritma, namun sebagian hanya berhenti pada tahap pengenalan pola dan masih ditemukan kesalahan. Sementara itu, siswa dengan kemampuan rendah hanya mampu memenuhi sebagian tahap dekomposisi sehingga tampak lemah pada seluruh indikator.

Abstract

The low interest in learning mathematics among students is a common problem in education. Students tend to lack enthusiasm and motivation in participating in mathematics learning due to conventional teaching methods that have not accommodated the diversity of student characteristics. This study aims to improve the mathematics learning interest of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Tinambung through the implementation of differentiated learning strategies. This research is a classroom action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model design in 2 cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 22 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Tinambung. The results of data analysis showed that the average percentage of students' mathematics learning interest questionnaire increased from 71.23% to 79.83% (high category) with an increase of 12.07%. The average percentage of teacher activity increased from 90% to 98.33% (Very Good category) with an increase of 8.33%, and the average percentage of student activity increased from 86% to 97% (Very Good category) with an increase of 12.79%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of differentiated learning strategies can improve the mathematics learning interest of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Tinambung.

Abstract

The development of digital financial services has made it easier for people to access technology-based loans, but this has also been accompanied by an increase in illegal online lending practices, which have generated numerous complaints from consumers in various regions. This situation indicates the potential for uneven distribution of cases across regions. This study aims to identify interregional spatial relationships in data on the number of complaints about illegal online loans across provinces in Indonesia. This study uses data on the number of complaints about illegal online loans from January to June 2025. The analytical methods used include descriptive statistics, the Moran Index to measure global spatial autocorrelation, and the Local Indicator of Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA) to detect local clusters. The results show positive spatial autocorrelation, where provinces with a high number of complaints tend to be close to each other, particularly areas with high levels of urbanization and digital activity such as DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and Banten. Thus, the distribution of complaints about illegal online loans is not random but is influenced by geographic proximity and regional socioeconomic characteristics.
