Abstract

Background: Lower back pain is a common complaint among pregnant women, which can affect overall quality of life and well-being. Various methods have been proposed to manage this condition, one of which is dance exercise. Aim: This study aims to review the effectiveness of dance exercise in reducing lower back pain in pregnant women. Method : This scoping review follows several steps of the Arksey and O’Malley framework: identification of the research question, identification of relevant studies, study selection, and data collection. Results : Out of 11 studies found, 4 studies met the inclusion criteria. These studies showed that dance exercise can significantly reduce lower back pain and improve mobility and emotional well-being in pregnant women. The most commonly used type of dance was prenatal dance, specifically designed for pregnant women.  Conclusion: Dance exercise is an effective intervention to reduce lower back pain in pregnant women. This exercise not only provides physical benefits but also psychological ones, which are important for holistic well-being during pregnancy. More research is needed to confirm these findings and to develop practical guidelines for its implementation.

Abstract

PIK-KRR is one of the adolescent health programs as a preventive effort towards adolescent reproductive health. Data from KESRA, BKKBN and the Health Office of Bukittinggi City, the implementation of the PIK-KRR program in Bukittinggi City has been running but the implementation has not been optimal because the existence of PIK KRR in Bukittinggi City is not in every school, there are only 8 PIK KRR spread across SMA / SMK / MA in Bukittinggi City. This study aims to analyze the achievement of the implementation of the PIK-KRR program in Bukittinggi City. This type of research is a qualitative description with the selection of informants using purposive sampling, namely all elements related to the implementation of PIK-KRR: Health office, DP3AP2KB, Puskesmas, high school, and aggregate adolescents in the school and community environment. Data collection in this study used in-depth interviews and observation. Data analysis used collaizi technique. The results showed that the achievement of the implementation of the PIK-KRR program in Bukittinggi City was still low, especially the low interest of adolescents to participate and take advantage of the PIK-KRR program, this was influenced by factors such as the lack of commitment of policy-making parties and cross-sector program implementers, lack of funds, infrastructure and incompetent human resources. Therefore, it is expected that all relevant parties can take steps and strategies to strengthen the implementation of the PIK-KRR program in Bukittinggi City.

Abstract

Metabolic syndrome is a medical condition that can occur due to various factors such as obesity, lack of physical activity, and genetic factors, and can lead to metabolic disorders. It can cause insulin resistance, high levels of triglycerides, low levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), high blood glucose levels, hypertension, and central obesity. One way to manage metabolic syndrome is through food interventions that have hypocholesterolemic effects, such as tempeh. This narrative review delves into the potential benefits of tempeh made from raw materials other than soybeans for metabolic syndrome disease. The review analyzed 13 original research articles published in the last sixteen years from Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. The findings suggest that tempeh made from non-soy ingredients like moringa seeds, quinoa seeds, barley seeds, fava beans, chickpeas, lotus seeds, and sorghum seeds contain bioactive components and nutritional content that can help reduce cholesterol levels, inflammation, oxidative stress, and blood pressure. Therefore, tempeh made from non-soy ingredients can be used as a functional food and nutraceutical to help improve the condition of metabolic syndrome. Further research on experimental animals is necessary to identify the effectiveness and mechanisms of non-soy tempeh at the molecular level against metabolic syndrome diseases.

Abstract

Good health and well-being are still significant problems in the world of health and are top priorities in health goals in the short and long term. Mental health disorders or depression are mental problems that are one of the factors that have not achieved a level of health in Indonesia and the world, so the transformation of adolescent mental health continues to be carried out throughout the world (1). Mental health is very vulnerable to teenagers. WHO data (2022) states that 1 in 7 children aged 10-19 years are known to experience psychological problems. The prevalence rate for mental health disorders in Asia ranges from 1.81% to 23.3%. (2) Data in Indonesia shows that 6.1% of the Indonesian population aged 15 years and over experiences mental health disorders. According to the 2022 Indonesian National Adolescent Mental Health Survey (I-NAMHS), as many as 15.5 million or 1 in 3 adolescents (34.8%) in Indonesia experience mental health. This research aims to analyze the development of health promotion-based education methods to increase the accessibility of adolescent mental health in Bangun Rejo Village. (b) To determine the feasibility of health promotion-based education methods to increase the accessibility of adolescent mental health in Bangun Rejo Village. The research method used is Research and Development, with stages of analyzing the method to be developed, the method development process, product testing, and the revision and evaluation stage to improve method weaknesses. The research results on developing health promotion-based education methods to increase mental health accessibility among adolescents in Bangun Rejo Village show that the results of the first hypothesis test are accepted, namely that there is an influence between self-awareness and self-awareness. Emotional and mental regulation of teenagers in Sudi Rejo Village, Tanjung Morawa District, means higher self-awareness. A person has higher emotional and mental regulation, and the development of Health Promotion-Based Education Methods, namely self-awareness and self-efficacy, increases the accessibility of adolescent mental health.

Abstract

Attitude is one of the domains in the competence of nurses. Attitudes are formed through internalizing learning experiences related to how students feel when they learn. Affective Learning refers to learning that enriches emotions, belief systems, and professional values. In nursing education, the attitude aspect is often the goal of learning but is not followed by learning strategies and evaluations to achieve these learning goals. The research aims to identify effective learning strategies and measure tools used to identify changes from the affective skills or affective aspect studied. A systematic review using electronic literature databases published from year 2012 until 2022. Scopus Search, Clinical Key Nursing, ProQuest, Ebscohost, SAGE Journals, and Science Direct. The research design criteria are randomized control trials and quasi-experimental studies. Eligibility assessment by conducting a critical appraisal using tools from the Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal. 15 articles met the criteria, consisting of five Randomized Control Trial research articles, and 10 Quasi-experimental articles. The results of a systematic review show that Simulations using standardized patients and reflective practice are learning methods that are often used. Empathy is the most researched affective aspect followed by communication, self-efficacy, and self-confidence. Empathy as the most affective aspect studied was measured using The Jefferson Empathy Scale. Learning interventions aimed to improve an affective aspect of nursing students are not single, but integrate various learning methods. This is also influenced by the affective aspect developed in learning, which is not a single aspect, and uses several measuring tools to assess its development.

Abstract

This study focuses on the problem of malnutrition in toddlers in Indonesia, who experience multiple nutritional challenges. Toddler age is a critical period in growth and development, but a lack of nutritional intake can lead to long-term health problems. To overcome this problem, the study proposed the development of an Expert System for Poor Nutrition in Toddlers using the Laravel Framework-based Forward Chaining method. This system will assist health workers in diagnosing malnutrition in toddlers by using anthropometric information such as Body Weight According to Body Length or Height children aged 0-60 months. With variables such as gender, age, weight, and length/height, this system can generate a z-score to determine the nutritional status of toddlers.
