Abstract

This activity is intended to share learning methods, specifically the use of interactive learning media. Some of the activities have been carried out at the first visit of the Arabic Literature study program team represented by Yusring Sanusi B to PPMI Shohwatul Is'ad. During this visit the activities that will be carried out at this workshop are discussed. Furthermore, a subsequent visit was conducted in a workshop for teachers PPMI Shohwatul Isad. The last visit was attended by all team members and students. During this last visit, there was a material change. The teachers asked to be given learning techniques with paper media. It is hoped that this learning model can be adapted creatively by the teachers of PPMI Shohwatul Is'ad. This activity has been recorded in order to be seen and watched at anytime in how to engage students in the classroom with minimal media. Although this last activity is not related to computer technology, it does not reduce the main purpose of this service. The final visit was only verification of the CD that have been made by the teachers. The results of this service are interactive exercise CDs prepared by teachers, expecially for English, Indonesian, Mathematics, Biology and Physics.

Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berupa pendokumentasian cerita rakyat masyarakat Amali. Kegiatan tersebut bermitra dengan SMPN 2 Amali, di Kecamatan Amali Kabupaten Bone yang melibatkan para guru beserta siswa-siswinya. Kemitraan antara tim pengabdian Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Departemen Sastra Daerah dengan Sekolah SMPN 2 Amali berawal dari keprihatinan Kepala Sekolah akan kelesuan pembelajaran bahasa daerah di sekolah yang dipimpinnya.Untuk menyemangati pembelajaran bahasa daerah di sekolah tersebut timmenawarkan suatu kegiatan yang melibatkan guru dan siswa untuk mendoku-mentasikan cerita rakyat yang beredar di lingkungannya dalam bahasa daerah setempat. Cerita rakyat dipilih sebagai objek dokumentasi sebab di dalamnya terkandung eksistensi, kearifan lokal, dan pranata budaya mereka yang semuanya itu bermanfaat untuk membangun jati diri sebagai manusia Bugis.            Agar dapat memperoleh hasil semaksimal mungkin maka dipilih metode pelatihan dan pendampingan yang sebelumnya telah didahului dengan observasi. Dengan metode tersebut tim berhasil memperoleh luaran yang berupa (1) rekaman audio cerita rakyat dalam bentuk CD, (2) katalog cerita rakyat Amali.

Abstract

The scientific writing training and assistance is intended for the teachers of SMPN 3 Minasa Tene in Pangkep Regency in 2019 and concerns with the central role of teacher academic landscape at the school. Its primary objective is to provide insights into the many fundamentals of developing skills for scientific paper particularly those that make up the process of composing text for classroom action research. While there is a growing consensus among the teachers that it is important to articulate the standards, knowledge and skills for scientific writing to navigate toward career and professional growth, there remains a significant lack of the rudiments of scientific writing among the teachers. To tackle this, training methodology entails a myriad of instructional approaches including lecturing, questions and answers, discussions, brainstorming, demonstrations and practices of writing classroom action research papers. The results are favorable in the areas that call for substantial improvement in scientific writing skills; 1. A set of activities is set and proceeds to the detailed planning stages according to the objectives and targets; 2. The training captures participants’ attention and productive participation, and ultimately garners favorable responses; 3. Approaches to the training have positive influences on the development of expertise and competent performance of scientific writing for classroom action research; 4. The training consists of a group of Natural Sciences, a group of Mathematics and a group of Indonesian Language, with each presenting one systematic scientific paper of classroom research; and 5. It provides training material course for teacher professional development. These commendable results not only suggest that the training is a good path to improving academic writing skills but also tap into the understanding of how and under which specific conditions academic writing performance is effective. This also calls for future effort into teacher assessment training that concerns with teacher competence to design standardized questions and tests for educational assessment out of concern that the potential educational benefits of student assessment be fully realized.

Abstract

ABSTRAK     Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini yaitu untuk melakukan kegiatan pelatihan seni musik dan tari tradisional Sulawesi Selatan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menarik minat warga masyarakat terutama generasi muda untuk melestarikan budaya tradisional khususnya pada seni musik dan tari. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode ceramah dan pelatihan. Pertama yaitu melakukan sosialisasi atau pengenalan tentang  jenis-jenis tari dan musik tradisional yang terdapat di Sulawesi Selatan. Kedua, melakukan pengenalan alat-alat musik tradisional Sulawesi Selatan. Ketiga, menjelaskan dan memperkenalkan jenis-jenis tarian Sulawesi Selatan. Keempat, melatih masyarakat Desa Bila Kecamatan Amali Kabupaten Bone.       Kegiatan pelatihan tari dan musik pada masyarakat Desa Bila Kecamatan Amali Kabupaten Bone pada umumnya berjalan lancar tanpa hambatan yang berarti. Hal ini dapat pula dilihat dari antusias dan peran serta masyarakat Desa Bila Kecamatan Amali Kabupaten Bone yang ingin mengikuti pelatihan seni musik dan tari Tradisional Sulawesi Selatan. Selain itu mitra berperan serta, aktif dalam membantu   pengawasan pelatihan tari dan musik, menyediakan ruangan atau tempat pelatihan, memobilitasi kelompok-kelompok masyarakat, dengan aktif terlibat dalam pelatihan musik dan tari. Mitra mempersiapkan beberapa kelompok yang tergabung dalam kelompok yang akan dilatih dalam pelatihan seni musik dan tari tradisional Sulawesi Selatan. Pihak Pemerintah Desa Bila Kecamatan Amali kabupaten Bone mengharapkan agar kegiatan pelatihan tari dan musik tradisional ini akan tetap berkesinambungan, mengingat kegiatan ini sangat penting dalam pembinaan etos budaya generasi muda khususnya pelestarian budaya lokal terutama seni musik dan Tari Taradisional masyarakat Sulawesi Selatan.

Abstract

  Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, pemahaman dan pemanfaatan media dan teknologi pembelajaran untuk mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran di sekkolah Dasar di kabupaten Jeneponto dengan memanfatkan media grafis, dengan menfasilitasi proses belajar siswa di Kecamatan Tamalatea. Pelatihan desain dan pengembangan media pembelajaran grafis di SD dengan menggunakan presentase, kerja kelompok, pendampingan dan monitoring untuk melihat implementasi pembuatan media grafis dan pemanfaatan dalam media pembelajaran di kelas. Media pembelajaran grafis dengan segala bentuk perangsang yang disediakan guru untuk mendorong siswa belajar cepat, tepat, mudah, benar dan tidak terjadi verbalisme. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2019, dengan melibatkan 25 orang mitra guru SD berlatih mendesain pengembangan media pembelajaran grafis sesuai materi pembelajaran di SD, masing-masing memilih bidang studi yang akan dipilih untuk didesain pengembangan media pembelajaran sebagai bahan latihan. Hasilnya memberikan pengaruh yang postif kompetensi merancang media grafis dan efektiftivitas pembelajaran di SD dengan memanfaatkan media grafis.

Abstract

The French department conducts a community service in the form of language training in Makassar as a part of the program planned of department.fThe target community for this service activity are french teachers/instructors in Makassar. This activity is designed to provide knowledge and skills for teachers/instructors to improve their pedagogical abilities so they can teach french in an easy and fun way to their students. In this service activity, the partners involved are Alliance Francaise (AF) Makassar, Warung Prancis (WP) Unhas, and schools that have french language teaching in their curriculum. Each participating partner sends teachers/instructors to become active participants in the training. Apart from that, partners also help carry out activities and provide training venues. The basic benefit of this activity is to equip french teachers/instructors with various methods and techniques for teaching french as foreign language (FLE), which is expected to increase students’ interest, attention and motivation to learn french language. The output of this service is a collection of methods and techniques (manuals) for teaching french with an actional approach. Apart from that, publications in national journals and local/national media are supporting outputs for activities. The results of the service provide an indication of the participants’ absorption of the material as shown through the participants’ enthusiasm and active participation during the training. Abstract

Community service is the main principle upheld by higher education institutions in fighting for the empowerment and advancement of society. This paper aims to illustrate the important role of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at UIN Alauddin Makassar in implementing community service programs, with a case study at Pondok Pesantren al-Ikhlash Addary DDI Takkalasi, Barru Regency. Through a qualitative approach and direct observation, this article discusses the various service activities carried out by the department in improving the quality of life and empowering the local community. The results show that the role of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature is very significant in making a positive contribution to the pesantren and the surrounding community, especially in terms of scientific development and cultural maintenance.
