Abstract

Previous research shows differences in contexts, teaching approaches and characteristics that influence research outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to review the literature that identifies, analyzes and identifies findings from previous research. Physical education is expected to be a means of increasing physical activity, movement skills, health, and building confident character. This research uses the literature review method by analyzing various related articles. The results of the analysis show that students' self-confidence grows through; (1) a participatory and meaningful pedagogical approach; (2) a supportive learning environment; (3) students' movement competence, and (4) motivation to develop physically and psychologically. Interesting and relevant teacher behavior also influences the character building process. Pedagogical and social approaches can make students more confident, focused and comfortable in expressing themselves. Imitation of behavior requires physical abilities and motor skills, which if developed will increase students' confidence and active participation. In addition, learning motivation is an important factor in encouraging students to build confidence through physical education

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teacher Performance Assessment (PKG) program in enhancing the professional competence of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) teachers in Cimahi City. Using a mixed-method approach with the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product), the study involved 30 PJOK teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that the PKG program was not optimally implemented across all four dimensions. In the context dimension, the program's goals did not fully align with teacher needs. Input aspects, including training and infrastructure, were insufficient. The process dimension showed inadequate socialization and implementation. In the product dimension, the impact on teacher competence was still limited. It is concluded that the PKG program requires continuous training, structured evaluation, and more effective communication to achieve its intended goals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) training on the performance of handball players in the Handball Student Activity Unit (UKM) at STKIP Pasundan Cimahi, particularly in improving speed, agility, and reaction time. The research employed an experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving 10 participants selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used was the Illinois Agility Test. Data analysis was conducted using the Paired Sample t-Test to compare pretest and posttest results, preceded by a Shapiro-Wilk normality test. If the data were not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon test was used as an alternative. Based on the results, it can be concluded that SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness) training had a significant effect on improving the performance of the handball players. This was evidenced by an improvement in the average test scores, from 24.90 seconds in the pretest to 19.764 seconds in the posttest, indicating enhanced performance, as lower scores in the Illinois Agility Test reflect faster times and better ability. Furthermore, the statistical test results showed a significant difference between the two sets of scores (p = 0.000). The majority of participants experienced performance improvement after undergoing SAQ training, proving the effectiveness of this training method in developing speed, agility, and quickness in handball players.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the Mobile Legends game on the social skills of junior high school students. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach with a social skills questionnaire covering aspects such as cooperation, communication, and empathy. A total of 29 seventh-grade students were selected purposively from a population of 73 students at SMP PGRI 1 Cimahi. The findings revealed that Mobile Legends has both positive and negative effects on children's social skills. Positive effects include enhanced teamwork and verbal communication among players. However, negative effects were also observed, such as decreased direct interaction with peers, reduced emotional control, and lower academic motivation. Most students were categorized as having fairly good social skills, with a small portion achieving higher levels. These results indicate that Mobile Legends significantly influences children's social development, depending on their playing frequency and the presence of guidance and supervision from parents and teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Small Sided Games (SSG) training on the improvement of passing techniques and performance in futsal games. The passing technique is one of the basic skills that is very important in futsal because it plays a significant role in the effectiveness of team cooperation. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The research design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design for passing technique, and Posttest-Only Control Group Design for game performance. The sample in this study consists of 15 male futsal club members from STKIP Pasundan Cimahi. The instrument used is a four-sided passing test with a rebound board for passing technique, while game performance is measured using the Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) scoring format that includes seven indicators and is directly observed in the context of the match. Data analysis was conducted through normality tests, reliability tests, paired sample t-tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in passing technique after treatment with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates that Small Sided Games training is effective in improving passing ability. Additionally, there is a significant difference in game performance scores between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.001), which shows that SSG training also has a positive impact on game performance. Thus, Small Sided Games training has been proven to significantly influence the improvement of passing techniques and futsal performance, and is recommended as an effective alternative training method in the learning and coaching of futsal.
