Abstract

This study aims to determine whether trust plays a role in mediating the influence of self-esteem on online self-disclosure of second Instagram account users. The research method used is a quantitative method carried out using multiple linear regression using the Process Hayes model 4 program with the bootstrapping method to test the mediation effect. RSES (Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale) modified by Tombeng and Yuwono is used to measure self-esteem; Rotenberg's interpersonal trust scale which has been modified by researchers is used to measure trust; and the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (RSDS) which has been modified by researchers is used to measure online self-disclosure. Participants totaled 251 students from the UKSW Faculty of Psychology. The results showed that trust mediates the influence of self-esteem on online self-disclosure (ab = .167, SE = .057, 95%, CI [.071, .296]). Self-esteem was found to increase the emergence of a sense of trust which then led to online self-disclosure.

The challenges faced by mothers with dual roles require resilience. Factors that influence resilience include psychological empowerment and self-compassion. The aim of this study is to examine the influence of psychological empowerment and self-compassion on resilience in women with dual roles. The results of the study show that the hypothesis is accepted; there is a simultaneous influence of empowerment and self-compassion on resilience in women with dual roles. The implications of this study suggest the need for resilience education for every woman with dual roles so that they can become resilient and capable of overcoming personal and family problems, as well as challenges at work, thereby achieving well-being in their roles.

Abstract

Teenagers should seek parental assistance because adolescence is a time of transition from childhood to adulthood and is frequently characterized by the emergence of issues. However, for teenagers living in dormitories, things are different. For this reason, self-compassion is crucial when addressing the mental health issues of young people living in dormitories. The purpose of this study is to examine how self-compassion affects the mental health of adolescents who live in dormitories. This study's methodology blends qualitative and quantitative methods, with 43 participants between the ages of 12 and 18. The Kabanjahe Dormitory in the Karo Regency of North Sumatra served as the site of this study. Research data was gathered through the distribution of questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observational studies. Multiple linear regression is used in quantitative data analysis, while reduction, presentation, and conclusion-making are the processes used in qualitative data analysis. The study's findings indicate that teens living in dorms have a 21.9% better mental health when they practice self-compassion. Other factors such as parental style, environment, degree of self-disclosure, and education impact the remaining 78.1%. Adolescents living in dorms may be susceptible to mental health issues due to various factors, including exposure to pornographic media, a family history of domestic violence, and inadequate parenting.

Abstract

Organizational welfare is a topic that is currently being researched and developed due to its impact on individuals and organizations in efforts to improve performance. This study aims to test the psychometric construct of the Organizational Welfare measurement tool in the context of higher education, developed by researchers based on the theory of Prilleltensky & Prilleltensky (2006). The sample consists of 432 participants, comprising lecturers and employees of private universities in Jakarta (50% lecturers and 50% employees). The Organizational Welfare measurement tool consists of 64 items that measure three dimensions: Effective Environment, Reflective Environment, and Affective Environment. Data analysis was conducted using Confirmatory Factor Analysis with Lisrel 8.8 software, and internal consistency was tested using Cronbach's alpha. The results showed that the three dimensions of the Organizational Welfare measurement tool had a fit model (meeting the model suitability criteria as per Hu & Bentler, 1999) and Cronbach's alpha coefficients ranging from 0.88 to 0.92. In total, 63 items were found to be valid, while 1 item was invalid due to having a t-value of less than 1.96.

Abstract

Self-esteem is an individual’s evaluation of themselves related to the belief that they have abilities, accomplishments, importance, and worth. Low self-esteem in emerging adulthood can lead to various problems and maladaptive behaviors, one of which is nomophobia. This study aims to determine the effect of logotherapy on self-esteem in emerging adulthood with nomophobia. This study used the experimental design untreated control group design with dependent pre-test and post-test samples. The study subjects were 12 emerging adulthood aged 18 to 29 years with nomophobia, with self-esteem scores in the medium category. Subjects were divided into 2 groups, consisting of 6 experimental groups and 6 control groups. The experimental group was given an intervention in the form of logotherapy in 6 sessions with 2,5 to 3 hours in a meeting. The data analysis method used is the Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U Test, the value of Z = -2.166 was obtained, with p<0.05, meaning that there was a difference in self-esteem scores in the control group and the experimental group before being given logotherapy. Meanwhile, based on the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test, the value of Z = – 2.207 was obtained, with p<0.05, meaning that there was a difference in self-esteem scores in the experimental group between measurements before and after being given logotherapy, where the self-esteem of the experimental group after being given logotherapy (mean = 77.67) was higher than before being given logotherapy (mean = 68.83). These results indicated that logotherapy could improve self-esteem in emerging adulthood with nomophobia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instrument/scale to measure family resilience. A sample of 265 families in the Special Region of Yogyakarta was established using the random sampling technique, with the criteria of families in the Yogyakarta area served by the Office of Religious Affair (KUA), and those who have the Pusaka Sakinah program (Sakinah Family Service Center). The data analysis used Aiken's V content validity coefficient and construct validity used Rasch model analysis. The results of Aiken's V coefficients by three experts show a value range of 0.802. This means that the items in the instrument have a high coefficient for measuring family resilience. In addition, the results of the Rasch model analysis show that the item person has a reliability of 0.97 and the item separation has a reliability of 6.03, which means that the measuring instrument has a good function because it has a range of varying degrees of difficulty. Meanwhile, the subject has a reliability of 0.91 and a person separation has a reliability of 3.17. This shows that the character of the subject varies according to the profile of the respondents who come from various educational backgrounds. All items are valid and reliable for measuring the right construct.
