Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of PT Pani Gold Project on multidimensional poverty among the community in Hulawa Village, Buntulia Subdistrict, Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo Province, with a focus on education. A descriptive qualitative method was used. Informants were determined through snowball sampling and comprised the CSR division of the Pani Gold Project and teachers from SDN 02, SDN 05, and SMPN 02 Buntulia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation and analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The analysis used Julian Rappaport’s empowerment theory and the concept of multidimensional poverty. The findings show that CSR was implemented through the Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), consisting of eight pillars, with education as the most prominent area through school rehabilitation and the provision of educational facilities and infrastructure. The program created a safer and more comfortable learning environment, increased students’ learning motivation, supported teachers’ performance, and strengthened community trust and participation. In the multidimensional poverty framework, the program contributed to reducing deprivation in education and functioned as a community empowerment instrument. Strengthening is still needed in economic, health, and empowerment aspects so that benefits can be more comprehensive and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of immersive learning in Arabic language education, analyze its theoretical foundations from the perspective of second language acquisition, and explain its implementation within the Indonesian context. The research employs a qualitative library research method, in which data were collected through documentation techniques from books, journal articles, dissertations, and other credible academic sources, then analyzed using content analysis to identify, categorize, and synthesize relevant concepts and theoretical propositions. This study argues that immersive learning positions Arabic as the primary medium of instruction rather than merely an object of study, requiring intensive exposure, comprehensible input, meaningful interaction, and active language production. Theoretically, this approach is firmly grounded in Krashen's comprehensible input theory, Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, Swain's comprehensible output theory, and the Interaction Hypothesis, all of which emphasize a balance between input, guided assistance, and output. In the Indonesian context, implementation may be more feasibly pursued through a partial immersion model developed gradually across planning, language environment building, and skill-based practice, particularly for maharah istimāʿ and maharah kalām. This study contributes theoretically and practically to the development of more communicative and contextual Arabic instruction.

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is essential for problem solving because it enables students to generate multiple solutions, apply diverse strategies, and develop relatively novel approaches. However, classifying students’ creative-thinking levels does not indicate where difficulties occur during problem solving. This study aimed to describe the diagnostic profile of elementary school students’ mathematical creative thinking in problem solving through Newman Error Analysis (NEA). A qualitative multiple-case study was conducted with 29 sixth-grade students at St. Clara Catholic Elementary School in Tomohon. Students completed an open-ended problem-solving task assessing fluency, flexibility, and novelty and were classified into MCTL levels 0–4. One student representing each MCTL level was purposively selected for semi-structured interviews based on the five NEA stages: reading, comprehension, transformation, process skills, and encoding. The findings showed that MCTL 2 was the most prevalent level (34.5%). Students at lower MCTL levels tended to experience difficulties in comprehension and transformation, whereas those at higher levels generally understood and transformed problems appropriately but still experienced procedural and encoding errors. Transformation emerged as an important intersection between mathematical creative thinking, particularly flexibility and novelty, and problem-solving difficulties. Integrating MCTL and NEA provides a more informative diagnostic profile for designing adaptive scaffolding based on students’ creative-thinking characteristics and problem-solving needs.

Abstract

Students in the Fashion Design concentration of the Family Welfare Education program have two main career orientations: becoming educators and fashion entrepreneurs. Differences in their inclination toward these two options are important to examine because the study program equips students with both pedagogical competencies and professional fashion skills. This study aims to compare interest in becoming a teacher and interest in entrepreneurship among the of Fashion Design students. The study employed a comparative quantitative approach. The population consisted of 73 students, and a sample of 62 students was selected through random sampling with a 5% margin of error. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, and a paired-samples t-test with IBM SPSS Statistics version 21. The results showed that the mean score for interest in becoming a teacher was 86.03 (SD = 8.63), while the mean score for interest in entrepreneurship was 89.16 (SD = 6.43). The difference test yielded t(61) = -2.258, p = 0.028, with a mean difference of -3.13. These findings indicate that both career options remain attractive, but the tendency toward entrepreneurship is statistically higher. The results suggest the need to strengthen balanced career development between educational and entrepreneurial competencies so that students can develop professional choices aligned with their interests and competencies.

Abstract

Music education in elementary school can provide a structured space for students to explore sounds, exchange ideas, improvise, and produce simple musical works. This study aims to describe how music learning is organized and implemented to foster student creativity, how creative behaviors emerge during classroom activities, and what factors support or constrain the process. A qualitative case-study design was employed at SD Negeri 01 Madang Suku III, focusing on Grade IV music learning. Classroom observations involved 20 students, while interviews were conducted with the arts teacher, the principal, and selected students; learning documents and photographs were used as complementary evidence. Data were analyzed interactively through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation across observation, interview, and documentation. The findings indicate a recurring learning mechanism: teacher modeling and stimulation were followed by guided exploration, group experimentation with available sound sources, presentation of student-created rhythmic patterns, and teacher feedback. This sequence created opportunities for four dimensions of creativity—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—to become visible in classroom practice. Students initially tended to reproduce teacher examples, but greater independence appeared when they were allowed to select sound sources, modify rhythms, combine sounds, and present group creations. Student enthusiasm, facilitative teacher behavior, collaborative activities, and a supportive classroom climate strengthened the process, whereas limited musical instruments, restricted instructional time, differences in ability, and uneven confidence constrained participation. The study therefore contributes a contextual explanation of how ordinary classroom practices can generate creative opportunities even when musical resources are limited. Because the study is qualitative and lacks pretest-posttest measurement, its contribution should be understood as an interpretive account of the learning process rather than evidence of a statistically measured increase in creativity.

Abstract

This study examines how BOS Kinerja funds were managed at SD Negeri 9 Ambon and SD Negeri 8 Ambon and how school actors perceived their contribution to learning quality. Using a qualitative comparative multisite design, data were collected from 10 purposively selected informants through semi-structured interviews, observation, and analysis of RKAS documents, School Quality Reports, activity records, and accountability reports. Open coding, categorization, theme development, within-case analysis, and cross-case comparison were used to organize the evidence. The central comparative finding is a mismatch between organizational capacity and evidence-use capacity. SD Negeri 9 Ambon had a formally established BOS Team and clearer task distribution, but the School Quality Report was not consistently used to set priorities. SD Negeri 8 Ambon used quality data and early stakeholder deliberation more directly, but the absence of a dedicated team concentrated administrative and monitoring work on the principal and treasurer. Both schools documented expenditure and activity completion more systematically than changes in teaching and learning. Participants reported more varied instruction, stronger use of digital media, and greater student participation after teacher development and learning-resource activities; these accounts indicate perceived contributions rather than causal effects. The analysis shows that performance-based school funding requires the joint operation of data-based planning, distributed responsibility, and outcome-oriented evaluation.

Abstract

Social Studies learning often relies heavily on textbooks, which can reduce student motivation and disconnect them from their real-world environment. Utilizing local history resources in Central Halmahera offers a highly contextual alternative. This study aims to analyze the forms, methods, and influence of local historical sources on students' learning motivation in Social Studies classes at SMP Negeri 1 (Central Halmahera). This qualitative descriptive study involved Social Studies teachers, students, and community figures as purposively selected informants. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document review, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results identified four categories of local historical sources utilized: oral (origin stories from customary leaders), material (artifacts and historical sites), written (which remain limited), and environmental. The implementation of the group investigation strategy successfully shifted students' positioning from passive recipients to active information seekers. The findings indicated an increase in students’ engagement across six observed motivation-related indicators: attention, active participation, curiosity, enthusiasm, persistence, and concern. Supporting factors included active community involvement and students' emotional proximity to the material, whereas hindering factors comprised scarce written literature and time constraints. Conclusively, local history integration facilitates knowledge construction through direct environmental interaction, strengthening intrinsic motivation based on social constructivism principles. It is strongly recommended that regional governments and schools collaborate to document local history and develop school-based archives to ensure sustainable contextual learning.

The use of instructional media is expected to assist teachers in delivering material more clearly, engagingly, and contextually, thereby making it easier for students to grasp various social, historical, geographical, and economic concepts. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of the school principal, the vice-principal for curriculum affairs, Social Studies teachers, and students of SMP Negeri 8 Halmahera Tengah. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that the use of instructional media in Social Studies lessons involves utilizing visual media, print media, maps, images, videos, and digital media, aligned with the specific subject matter and learning objectives. These media assist teachers in clarifying material delivery, enhancing student attention, and fostering student engagement during the learning process. However, implementation still faces several challenges, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, restricted access to technology, internet connectivity issues, and varying teacher capabilities in developing instructional media. Therefore, teacher creativity, school support, and the utilization of the local environment and culture as learning resources are essential. By employing media that are appropriate and suited to student characteristics, Social Studies instruction at SMP Negeri 8 Halmahera Tengah can become more effective, engaging, and meaningful.

Abstract

The development of the digital public sphere causes issues related to demonstrations to potentially escalate rapidly through interactions between social media, online media, and institutional communication. This study analyzes the development of the issue of the blockade of the demonstration heading towards the Hotel Indonesia (HI) Roundabout in June 2026, evaluates the appropriateness of PMJ’s communication strategy at each stage of escalation, and identifies the factors that accelerated and slowed the issue’s development. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data were obtained through documentation of PMJ’s official communications, social media monitoring, online media coverage, and Drone Emprit data during 11–15 June 2026. The analysis uses Issue Life Cycle Theory, operationalized into four stages: Scanning, Monitoring, Early Warning, and Crisis Response, with indicators of reach, account volume, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) involvement, and media coverage. Results show the issue developed very rapidly from a student network into a national issue. Drone Emprit monitoring recorded more than 170,000 mentions, approximately 391 million public interactions, and 6,661 news articles during the observation period. PMJ’s communication strategy generally followed the escalation increase. Accelerating factors included the symbolic value of the HI Roundabout, viral visual content, digital actor involvement, and the spread of actions across regions. Official clarifications, alternative locations, and fact-checking mechanisms functioned as dampening factors. The study concludes that managing escalation of public space issues requires a fast, proportional, and symmetrical response between the security dimension and policy substance, as well as cross-institutional communication coordination.
