Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principals’ professional competence, teachers’ work motivation, and organizational culture on school quality at public senior high schools in Blora Regency. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, data were collected from 200 teachers through Likert-scale questionnaires. The results show that all three variables have a positive and significant effect on school quality, both partially and simultaneously, with a determination coefficient of 64.8%. The findings indicate that the professional competence of school principals strengthens instructional leadership, teachers’ work motivation enhances performance, and a strong organizational culture fosters collaboration and commitment to continuous improvement. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of leadership competence, teacher motivation, and organizational culture as internal determinants of school quality at the district level. This research contributes to developing a comprehensive model for improving educational quality through human resource synergy within schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which career development influences employee retention, considering organizational commitment as a mediating variable that plays a role in bridging this relationship, specifically in the context of travel agencies in the Kediri region of East Java. This study adopted a quantitative framework with a descriptive design, where a series of data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 110 individuals working as staff at corporate entities operating in the travel services sector. The Structural Equation Modeling method was applied using SmartPLS version 4.0 software. The data processing results indicate that career development has a significant and positive influence on employee retention rates. Furthermore, career development also has a positive and meaningful impact on increasing organizational commitment. This commitment to the organization, in turn, contributes significantly to the sustainability of employee retention. Further findings indicate that organizational commitment plays a significant mediating variable in facilitating the causal relationship between career development and employee retention. The practical implications of this study indicate that investing in career development can strengthen workforce stability, reduce recruitment costs, and support sustainable tourism industry growth. The uniqueness of this study lies in its focus on the under-researched travel agency sector and its integration of the role of organizational commitment as a mediator in the analyzed relationships. Career development makes employees feel valued and increases their commitment. This makes employees less likely to leave the company, thus increasing retention rates.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to examine in depth how gender inequality manifests in the dimensions of Law and Sociology, as well as its implications for the achievement of sustainable development. Her main focus is to analyze the complex interactions between formal legal frameworks and social norms in society, which are often the basis for the sustainability of discriminatory practices. The narrative literature review  method was chosen to provide an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of various literatures, allowing the synthesis of previous research findings as well as the identification of knowledge gaps relevant to the topic being studied. The narrative literature review  method is very suitable for exploring the complexity of gender inequality through the lens of Law and Sociology, as it allows the tracing of narratives and arguments that develop in a wide body of science. Overall, an in-depth analysis of the existing literature shows that gender inequality has a significant multidimensional impact on various aspects of sustainable development, ranging from economic, social, to environmental. This research explicitly shows that without a fundamental solution to gender disparities, progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals will be hampered.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze in depth the representation of power dynamics and social hierarchy in cyberbullying through discourse patterns and communication strategies. The research also seeks to explain how social norms or power structures in the real world are replicated and strengthened in online interactions involving cyberbullying. The uniqueness of the research is that it integrates linguistic and sociological perspectives comprehensively, in contrast to previous research that tends to focus on one of the disciplines, in order to offer a holistic analysis of the phenomenon of cyberbullying. This study adopts the narrative literature review method, a systematic qualitative approach to identify, evaluate, and synthesize findings from previous studies related to the representation of women in Indonesian horror films. The findings of the study show that cyberbullying is a multidimensional phenomenon that involves the complexity of language, social interaction, and power structures in the digital realm. Cyberbullying, which manifests itself in many forms, inherently reflects the power imbalance between perpetrator and victim, often reinforced by the anonymity and wide reach of  digital platforms. However, the resistance of discourse and power back shows that victims are not always passive, but are able to implement linguistic strategies to challenge this dominance, restore agency, and even encourage social change.

Abstract

This study aims to identify trends, main topics, and patterns of scientific collaboration in the study of teachers' digital literacy and students' digital citizenship. Using bibliometric methods, this study analyzed scientific publications obtained from the Scopus database during the period 2016–2025. The data collected includes information about titles, authors, year of publication, keywords, affiliations, and journal sources. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to map collaboration networks between researchers and between countries, as well as identify keywords that frequently appear in related publications. The results of the study show that teachers' digital literacy is a topic that has experienced a significant increase, especially since 2020, in line with the increasing need for digital learning during the pandemic. Meanwhile, studies on student digital citizenship are still relatively few but show a steady upward trend. The most frequently appearing keywords include "digital literacy", "digital citizenship", "teachers", "students", and "digital competence". Collaboration between countries is dominated by the United States, followed by countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, China, and Australia. Indonesia began to engage in collaborative networks, albeit on a limited scale. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the direction and development of research, as well as identifying opportunities for further study in the field of digital literacy and digital citizenship in the context of education.

Abstract

By utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach based on interviews, observations, and documentation, this study attempts to narrate the implementation of the Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project Assessment in grade V at MIS Hidayatul Muhajirin, Palangka Raya City. The results show that the project implementation went well. The school formed a facilitator team to design, implement, and monitor activities with the support of the madrasah principal, teachers, and school community. The project was designed based on the needs of the madrasah with contextual themes such as processing plastic waste into handicrafts. The project module became a guideline for teachers in instilling the values ​​of the Pancasila and Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile, such as mutual cooperation, independence, creativity, and environmental awareness. The assessment was carried out comprehensively through observation of the process, results, and attitudes of students with collaboration between teachers. This implementation succeeded in improving critical thinking skills, creativity, and students' awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.

Abstract

The development of information technology has significantly transformed education, including Sociology learning. Gadgets have become essential tools in the learning process, serving not only as communication devices but also as primary sources of information literacy. This study aims to analyze the role of gadgets as information literacy sources in Sociology learning and their impact on students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation. The research employed a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources were collected from scientific journals, reference books, and academic articles related to digital literacy and Sociology education published between 2019 and 2025. Data were gathered through searches in academic databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and ResearchGate. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques by identifying major themes, including the role of gadgets, information literacy, digital learning impacts, and implementation challenges. The findings reveal that guided gadget use can enhance students’ information literacy, access to learning materials, and engagement in learning activities. However, uncontrolled usage may lead to distraction and dependency. In conclusion, the integration of gadgets into the curriculum supported by teacher training and digital ethics education is essential to promote critical, adaptive, and character-based Sociology learning.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the importance of integrating local wisdom values into Social Studies (IPS) learning to create contextual, relevant, and character-oriented education. Conventional Social Studies instruction in Indonesia often remains theoretical and detached from students’ social and cultural realities. Therefore, this research aims to identify the values of local wisdom embedded in Indonesian communities that are relevant to Social Studies learning and to analyze how these values can be effectively implemented in classroom practices. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected from scientific articles, books, research reports, and educational policy documents related to local wisdom and Social Studies education. The data collection technique involved documentation, while data analysis consisted of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to synthesize key findings across sources. The results indicate that local wisdom values such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong), deliberation (musyawarah), honesty, and social concern are highly relevant to the objectives of Social Studies education. These values can be incorporated into learning through ethnopedagogical, contextual, and project-based approaches to enhance students’ social awareness, responsibility, and cultural identity. The study concludes that integrating local wisdom into Social Studies learning not only strengthens students’ character development but also contributes to cultural preservation and sustainable community development.

Abstract

The Russia-Ukraine war triggered a global fertilizer supply crisis, revealing the vulnerability of import-dependent agricultural systems. This study examines Indonesia’s policy response to the fertilizer supply crisis during the 2022 Russia–Ukraine war, focusing on the expansion of subsidies for urea and Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium fertilizers. The objective is to identify how Indonesia’s policy represents a Reformist trend – one of Holt-Giménez and Shattuck’s typologies – within the corporate food regime. Using a qualitative research method, the study draws on secondary data, including policy documents, government budget reports, and statements from international organizations. The findings show that Indonesia’s policy actions exemplify the Reformist trend within the corporate food regime, in which the state seeks to manage crises and maintain political stability without transforming structural dependencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Flipped Classroom model on the learning outcomes of Indonesian language in grade IV at MIS Hidayatul Muhajirin. In this model, students learn basic materials at home through videos/learning materials, while face-to-face time is focused on discussions and application exercises. The study was carried out because the learning outcomes, especially the capacity to speak and present, were still low. The study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design through pretest-posttest. The results of the study are expected to present learning alternatives that are able to intensify student motivation, activeness, and learning outcomes.
