Abstract

This study aims to analyze the public value of BUMDes “Jaya Tirta” in improving community welfare in Gedongarum Village, Kanor District, Bojonegoro Regency. The study employs the public value theory proposed by Mark H. Moore, which is articulated through the Strategic Triangle framework consisting of three main elements: legitimacy and support, operational capacity, and substantive value. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving seven informants. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and A Huberman. The findings indicate that BUMDes “Jaya Tirta” has successfully generated tangible public value for the community. From the dimension of legitimacy and support, the enterprise strengthens stakeholder confidence by ensuring openness in the delivery of accountability reports at Village Consultative Meetings, encouraging both formal and informal community involvement, and maintaining solid institutional arrangements based on Village Regulation No. 2 of 2017. In terms of operational capacity, BUMDes employs 57 personnel, manages an irrigation network covering more than 600 hectares of agricultural land, and generates revenues reaching approximately IDR 3.5 billion per planting season. Regarding substantive outcomes, the pump-based irrigation system significantly improves agricultural performance, raising crop yields from 6–7 tons to 10–12 tons per hectare and increasing planting intensity from a single harvest to two or even three harvests annually. The wider community also benefits indirectly through CSR allocations and contributions to Village Original Revenue (PAD). Despite these achievements, several challenges persist, including the need to enhance digital transparency, expand technical training for field workers, and reduce structural reliance on middlemen in grain distribution, which continues to limit the economic gains obtained by farmers.

Abstract

The palm oil industry is one of the most important global agribusiness sectors, playing a significant role in meeting the world’s demand for vegetable oil while supporting economic growth in producing countries, particularly Indonesia. However, the expansion of oil palm plantations is often associated with environmental issues such as deforestation, land degradation, and biodiversity loss, which have triggered global concerns regarding supply chain transparency and environmental accountability. This study aims to analyze and formulate strategies for strengthening traceability systems in the palm oil agribusiness sector in order to improve supply chain transparency and environmental accountability. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method based on academic journals, books, international organization reports, and policy documents related to palm oil sustainability and supply chains. Data were analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis to identify key concepts, research patterns, and strategic approaches to strengthening traceability systems. The results indicate that supply chain complexity, the involvement of smallholder farmers, and limited data integration remain major challenges in traceability implementation. Therefore, strengthening traceability systems through digital technology adoption, improved governance, and stakeholder collaboration is essential to enhance transparency and environmental accountability in the palm oil industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived organizational support, workload, and job satisfaction on work engagement among employees in the marine service shipping industry at CV. Berkat Abadi Bitung. The research applies a causal quantitative approach with perceived organizational support, workload, and job satisfaction as independent variables and work engagement as the dependent variable. The population consisted of all 41 employees of the company, and a saturated sampling technique was used so that the entire population became the research sample. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that perceived organizational support, workload, and job satisfaction each have a significant partial effect on work engagement. Among these variables, job satisfaction shows the strongest influence on employee engagement. Furthermore, the simultaneous test confirms that the three variables collectively have a significant effect on work engagement. The coefficient of determination shows that 92.6% of the variation in work engagement can be explained by perceived organizational support, workload, and job satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening organizational support, managing workloads proportionally, and improving job satisfaction to enhance employee engagement and organizational performance

Abstract

Violence in schools remains a serious problem, so participation in education is expected to minimize the violence that occurs. This study aims to describe the process of internalizing anti-violence values in Social Studies learning through Project Based Learning (PjBL) and strengthening Social Emotional Learning (SEL) as an effort to form an anti-violence culture among Gen Z students in grade VIII at Al-Hikmah International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) Batu. The approach used is qualitative with a case study, involving social studies teachers as the main informants, eighth-grade students as the recipients of social conflict material, and the school as supporting informants. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles et al. model, which includes condensation, presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the process of internalizing anti-violence values occurred in three stages. The first stage was the design of an anti-violence culture through the preparation of lesson plans by social studies teachers on social conflict material. The second stage is the implementation of the design through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach and the strengthening of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) during the learning process. Finally, the target achievement of the design is through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor based evaluation. These three stages reflect the formation of tolerant, empathetic student behavior and the ability to resolve conflicts peacefully, thereby reflecting the formation of an anti-violence culture through social studies learning that is in line with SDG 16.1 regarding the reduction of violence.

Abstract

Strengthening character education in elementary schools is crucial, but it still requires a contextual approach based on local wisdom to make character values more meaningful for students. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of local wisdom-based character education in elementary schools through participation in the Sowan Ngalas Tradition. The study used a qualitative ethnographic approach with students and teachers at SDN 1 Pesangkalan as subjects, as well as community leaders. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data were validated through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Sowan Ngalas tradition plays an important role in strengthening local wisdom-based character education in elementary schools. Through a participatory approach, students gain authentic experiences that enrich their understanding of character values in a more meaningful way. Religious, nationalist, mutual cooperation, integrity, and independent characters can be internalized through a series of concrete cultural practices. Religious values grow through communal prayer and the procession of washing heirlooms; nationalism develops through the procession of heirlooms and the narrative of village history; mutual cooperation is built through collective work in the mountain procession; integrity is strengthened through reflection on moral values in the shadow puppet performance; and independence is formed through responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and caring for the environment after the activity. These findings confirm that direct experiences based on local culture provide meaningful, reflective, and contextual character learning for students' lives. Collaboration between schools, community leaders, and local communities is key to maintaining the sustainability of regional traditions while instilling character values from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of good governance principles in the management of official vehicles as part of Regional Property (BMD) and examine it from the perspective of Islamic Education Management (MPI). The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and administrative observation of the management of official vehicles in the local government environment. The results show that of the 241 active vehicles, 214 (88.8%) have a valid user decree (SK), while 27 (11.2%) have not been renewed due to job rotation dynamics. These findings indicate that administrative legality has been relatively fulfilled, but consistency in administrative accountability has not been fully achieved. The ongoing governance practices are still dominated by procedural compliance (rule-based compliance) and are not yet fully oriented towards performance-based accountability. From an MPI perspective, public asset management is not only understood as regulatory compliance, but as a practice of stewardship that demands integrity, responsibility, and public interest. This study emphasizes that strengthening regional asset governance requires the integration of digital-based administrative system reforms, bureaucratic capacity building, and the internalization of ethical-spiritual values in organizational practices. Conceptually, this study contributes to the development of an integrative approach between good governance and Islamic Education Management values in public asset governance.
