As-Sabiqun Journal is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and articles on Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences. This journal was published by Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD) STIT Palapa Nusantara Lombok - NTB which was published twice in a year (biannualy), March and October with a minimum of 5 articles. The journal aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscript dealing with Islamic Studies and Educational Sciences topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, and scientific reviews in education in any fields including: 1. Early Childhood Education Theory; 2. Early Childhood Education Learning Practice; 3. Early Childhood Development includes Religious and Moral, Cognitive, Language, Social-Emotional, Physical-Motoric, and Art Values; 4. PAUD Policy; 5. Parenting; 6. Teacher Education and Training; 7. Learning Strategy. Editorial Team invites academics, lecturers and researchers to contribute according to the scope above. Articles can be submitted online, by registering as a author (Online Submissions). Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Peer Review Processes. This journal is an open access journal which means that all freely available content is used. Abstract

Picky eater behavior, or children who have difficulty eating, can be a confusing and worrying challenge for parents and teachers alike. In Mustika Siwi Kindergarten, this phenomenon is a serious concern because it can have an impact on children's health and development. This problem not only affects the nutritional aspect of the child, but can also cause anxiety, stress, and conflict among parents, teachers, and children. The purpose of this study was to explore and analyze picky eater behavior in Mustika Siwi Kindergarten (TK) students, focusing on eating patterns at home. This research method uses the method used in this writing in the form of qualitative methods using a descriptive analysis approach. The results of this study show that in tracing picky eater behavior in Mustika Siwi Kindergarten students, it can be concluded that eating patterns at home have a significant impact on children's tendency to choose food types. The results of the analysis revealed that limited food variations, special rules related to food, and interactions during meals at home play a key role in the emergence of picky eater behavior. Steps to address this problem not only include parental education, but also involve close collaboration between parents and teachers. Strategies of a positive approach to food, increasing menu variety in schools, and creating a pleasant eating experience at home are important elements in creating positive change.

Abstract

The author's interest in using science experiments at Kober Nurul Huda to enhance young children's ability to ask questions drove this research. It highlights the significance of early childhood education (PGPAUD) as guidance for children from birth to six years of age, citing Law 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. According to Montesori and other theories of education, children develop very quickly at this age in a number of areas. Nonetheless, Kober Nurul Huda observations revealed that the majority of kids were less engaged in asking questions, leading to the conclusion that kids' skills needed to be developed. Thus, the purpose of this study is to assess how science experiments at Kober Nurul Huda affect young children's ability to ask questions and to enhance that ability in young children. 17 children participated in three research cycles using a classroom action research (PTK) approach, and data was gathered through observation, documentation sheets, and both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The study's findings demonstrate that young children at Kober Nurul Huda have significantly improved their ability to ask questions, as evidenced by cycles II and III. This improvement is particularly evident in their capacity to ask questions without feeling uncomfortable. Therefore, it can be said that science experiments help young children in Kober Nurul Huda develop their ability to ask questions.

Abstract

The existence of the independent teaching platform (PMM) is a means that helps teachers obtain inspiration, references and additional information in implementing the independent curriculum in each educational unit. This is the background to the research, namely regarding teachers' perceptions of the independent training features provided by the independent teaching platform (PMM). The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the understanding of the independent training features provided by the independent teaching platform (PMM) and (2) teacher assessments of the independent training features provided by the independent teaching platform (PMM). This research method is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection uses several data collection techniques and instruments. The data analysis technique goes through the flow of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained in the form of an understanding of independent training for teachers and an assessment of the features provided by the research sample obtained good results. The conclusion of this research is that the independent training feature on the independent teaching platform (PMM) can be an alternative means of independent learning for teachers to develop themselves.

Abstract

Through the use of experimental methods, this researcher seeks to increase children's focus. Kindergarten A RA Al-Abror. Class Action Research (PTK) is the research method used. The design developed by Kemmis and McTaggart was used in this research. Ten class A students served as study participants. The data collection approach is through observation with instruments. The aim of this research is to explore the effectiveness of an interactive approach in teaching the concept of color change to preschool children at RA Al-Abror. Research shows that children can improve their focus by experimenting with mixing colors. In this study, in the first indicator there were nine children who were in the BSH stage and one person was still in the MB stage, in the second indicator there were eight children who were in the BSH stage and two were still in the MB stage and in the third indicator there were eight children who were in the BSH stage. BSH and two people are still in the MB stage. before the experiment, the focus value was MB (Starting to Develop), but after the experiment, the value changed to BSH (Developing According to Expectations). This indicates a change in the child's focus as a result of the intervention carried out during the experiment. The results of this experiment are increased focus, knowing colors, mixing colors, changing colors, increasing thinking and creativity and being able to create good and creative ideas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the degree to which the use of animated videos in educational materials improves student comprehension of the subject matter and has a positive influence on the learning process. The Design and Development (D&D) ADDIE paradigm, which has five stages—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—was the methodology employed in this study. Additionally, this study employs a qualitative approach method that involves distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews in Malangbong's class II primary schools. The study's findings indicate that media professionals and subject matter experts alike think highly of this animated video-based learning resource, placing it in the extremely suitable category. Additionally, it aims to elicit positive feedback from students in order to boost their enthusiasm in learning Surah Al-Kausar content for PAI courses. We may infer that the influence of this animated video-based learning medium on students' comprehension of Surah Al-Kausar is positive and enhances their learning experience.

Abstract

The capacity to assess arguments, examine data, and draw logical conclusions is known as critical thinking. Contextual learning is a technique to learning that works well for scientific education. The goal of the research was to enhance the critical thinking skills of young children at RA Al-Hidayah through contextual scientific instruction, as their critical thinking abilities are still poor. A classroom action research (PTK) design utilizing the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model is employed in this study. Descriptive qualitative data analysis is the method employed. Group B is the early childhood research subjects. Ten kids served as the research subjects. Worksheets, interview instructions, and observation sheets were the equipment utilized in this study. The study's findings demonstrate how well this intervention works to help young children develop their critical thinking skills. According to this study, contextual scientific learning interventions have been shown to be successful in raising young children's critical thinking abilities across the board.

Abstract

This article aims to develop a learning medium in the form of an interactive multimedia game to stimulate the development of religious and moral values on the theme of my environment in children aged 5-6 years in RA Nurul Hidayah Jambi City. Development research (Research and Development/R&D) is this type of research. The development model used is ADDIE. The data collection method is a questionnaire. Data processing was carried out using quantitative data analysis and qualitative data. Research data was collected by distributing questionnaires to media experts, material experts, respondents, namely teachers at RA Nurul Hidayah Jambi city. The results of the research show that the media expert assessment obtained a percentage of 95.83% in the very good category and can be tested, the material expert assessment obtained a percentage of 83.3% in the very good category and suitable for use, and the results of the analysis of the respondent's perception questionnaire from 13 RA Nurul Hidayah teachers in Jambi City received a percentage of 95.6% in the very good category. From the results of this assessment, it shows that the interactive multimedia game learning media with the theme of my environment with the help of Microsoft PowerPoint is very effective in stimulating religious and moral values in children aged 5-6 years in RA Nurul Hidayah Jambi City and shows that this media is very suitable for use.

Abstract

Character education in early childhood is one of the efforts to instill commendable behavior in children, both in worship, both as citizens, both in interacting with others and the environment, and beneficial for the success of their lives both in the world and in the hereafter. The purpose of this study is to determine the values of character education instilled in children aged 3-4 years through habituation of memorization of selected hadiths in KB IT Ash Shiddiqy. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were 10 children aged 3-4 years Abu Bakr group at KB IT Ash Shiddiqy as the main informant in this study. Data collection techniques in research use observation, interview and documentation techniques. The result of this study is that children can be formed in character from the age of 3-4 years through habituation to memorizing hadiths prohibiting anger, affection, smiles, closing the aurat, and brotherhood.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an innovative and effective approach to learning Islamic Religion (PAI) at the elementary level through the use of a Pinterest-based e-book entitled "PENA Muhammad (The Adventure of the Prophet Muhammad)". This research was conducted at SDN Cisempak, Wargaluyu Village, Tanjungmedar District, Sumedang Regency. This research uses a type of Design and Development (D&D) research with descriptive methods. Data were collected through direct observation and instrument validation. Researchers utilized Canva, Pinterest, Wordwall, Heyzine Flipbook, YouTube, and QR code generator applications and sites. The evaluation results showed a positive response from students to the "PENA Muhammad" e-book. Most students felt happy and successfully understood the material delivered through the e-book and demonstrated its effectiveness in improving their understanding of Islamic religious and political values, as well as its relevance in the context of modern life. The development of this e-book can be an effective innovation in learning PAI at the elementary level. By using an innovative approach through the Pinterest-based "PENA Muhammad" e-book, PAI learning for grade 3 elementary school students becomes more interesting and interactive. the development of this e-book can help students understand the Prophet's political material in building the City of Medina better. The use of multimedia and digital technology in learning provides an enjoyable and in-depth learning experience for students, so that they are able to understand the material better.

Abstract

Al-Washliyah is an Islamic mass organization that pays great attention to the world of education. The Al-Washliyah educational institution prioritizes spiritual values in the implementation of learning so that it is able to answer the community's need for the importance of religious education and strengthening morals. The aim of this research is to find out the process of introducing Al-Washliyah to early childhood carried out by teachers and how the introduction of Al-Washliyah is related to strengthening children's morals at RA Al-Washliyah Kisaran. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques using participant observation and in-depth interviews. All existing data is analyzed using the stages of data condensation, data display and verification. The research results stated that the process of introducing Al-Washliyahan to early childhood at RA Al-Washliyah was delivered by maximizing the quality of educators in delivering Al-Washliyahan material in an interesting and enjoyable form of learning. As for the activities carried out, such as prayer programs, remembrance and prayer memorization, Al-washliyahan material is integrated with developmental aspects that can strengthen children's morals. Simple and fun forms of activities can strengthen children's morals.
