Abstract

Used cooking oil are oils that have been used for cooking in restaurants, hotels, food industries, and households. They are dangerous waste when inappropriately disposed since it can interrupt the sewer system or be illegally reprocessed. To combat the issue, the government of Jakarta designed the UCO to Biodiesel supply chain in the Governor’s Regulation number 167 of 2016. However, it has yet to manage households despite potentially producing 210.465,31 litres of UCO per day. The goal of this community service is to create a collection system and to increase awareness of the dangers and potential of UCO in Bassura City Apartment, located in East Jakarta, which did not have UCO collection system. The collection system considers sustainability in terms of not only the environment but also social and economic. The community service is split into five steps: creating local partnerships, supply chain planning, awareness raising by socialization, monitoring and evaluation. Local partnership was created between the local mosque Al-Falah as local UCO collector, BeliJelantah the medium sized UCO collector, and Universitas Bakrie. UCO collected by Al-Falah is bought by BeliJelantah at a rate of Rp4,000.00 /litre. BeliJelantah provides basic equipment such as jerrycans and sieve. Socialization was partially done regularly before sermon and online due to Covid-19 restrictions. Since the implementation of the collection system, Al-Falah mosque has collected 33 Litres which was converted into Rp134,000.00. Sustainability of the collection of used cooking oil will be carried out by residents and the DKM Masjid in direct coordination with BeliJelantah by taking a minimum of 2 jerrycans with a volume of 18 litre or the equivalent of 36 litre. This system can be scaled up by increasing partnerships with more local groups and local management.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology during the Covid-19 pandemic turned out to have an important role in communication and information. However, the limited space for movement due to the extended PPKM provides opportunities to access social media in a short time. The intensity of using social media for too long can affect the mental health of themselves not only in adolescents, it can also affect children at an early age. This Community Service Activity (PkM) was carried out at the Sekolah Teman Belajar, Cipinang East Jakarta, where there was still a lack of knowledge about the use of social media and lack of awareness of parents in assisting their children. The purpose of the service activities carried out is to provide understanding through digital literacy methods in the formation of self-esteem with national insight. The implementation method is carried out in the form of providing assistance and training to students by involving the parents of students. Then, provide an understanding of digital parenting, where as parents must also follow the development of content packaged through social media. In addition, students who are still at an early age are introduced to wayang characters, namely Arjuna and Srikandi which are packaged through animated videos. The results of the activity showed that the participants understood the explanation given by the facilitator. Then with an interactive experience sharing approach that implements 5W + 1H there is self-disclosure to students, in this case they want to make story ideas which later on from the results of the story ideas are depicted in the animated video of Arjuna and Srikandi as icons of my friends. The process of making story ideas is a process of forming self-esteem, then participants are equipped to invite families to create entertaining content by raising cultural values as the theme on both TikTok and Instagram, this aims as an effort to form national identity.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has made information dissemination not only through offline media, but also online media contribute to the provision of information. One of the areas that use information technology in the service process is Rukun Warga (RW). RW 13 is one of 22 RW’s in Cipinang Melayu Village, which currently uses a manual system in the service process. In addition, the problem faced by the administrators of RW 13 is the lack of knowledge in managing and maintaining the website. As a form of service to the surrounding community, a group of lecturers from Universitas Nusa Mandiri conducted a community service activity in the environment of RW 13 in the form of training activities on website maintenance of the Neighborhood Information System. This activity aims to make the participants understand how important it is to maintain the website so that the website will continue to run optimally. Participants in this community service activity are RT administrators, RW administrators, and youth from RW 13 youth organizations. The method used in this community service activity is interactive theoretical training, while the practical method uses simulation and question and answer methods. The evaluation results of the community service activities conducted based on the completion of questionnaires by 20 participants can be concluded that the participants are satisfied with the implementation of this training activity so that it can increase the knowledge, understanding and skills of the participants on the importance of website maintenance. Abstract

This community service activity which is carried out in the form of training aims to provide skills to Mahkota Laweyan Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in designing new era batik etiket based on local content, especially for superior products "Laweyan Heritage Batik" ready for export. Mahkota Laweyan is one of the IKMs in Kampoeng Batik Laweyan which produces eco-friendly batik. Currently, Mahkota Laweyan has 17 employees who generally handle batik production and marketing. Now, Mahkota Laweyan has 12 types of batik products that have been patented and have fulfilled SNI. Products that have met the Indonesian National Standard have the right to use the collective mark held by the Kampoeng Batik Laweyan Development Forum (FPKBL). However, these patented batik products still do not have a label to display the brand on each type of product. Even though the brand is needed to introduce the product to the wider community. IKM Kampoeng Batik Laweyan, including the Mahkota Laweyan, is tasked with preserving Laweyan cultural products, one of which is etiket which is becoming extinct. Therefore, for the sake of exporting and preserving cultural products, it is necessary to design labels based on local content, not only to fulfill marketing purposes but also to revitalize labels as cultural products. The function of etiket is to carry the brand name, represent products that have a good reputation, and bring local Laweyan content to be introduced in the domestic and foreign markets. The design of a new era of etiket based on local content is carried out with assistance. Etiket batik that has been designed is then applied to batik products for marketing purposes both online and offline marketing.

Abstract

Along with the times, the role of parents in helping children's growth and development so that they grow into intelligent children becomes a responsibility that must be done. However, public awareness and understanding, especially parents, do not know how to provide good parenting to children. This can lead to undirected child behavior and a lack of stable emotions. Community Service Activities (PKM) are carried out to socialize how good and correct parenting is for children, especially children with special needs at Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Ibu Bahagia, Sungai Raya District, Kubu Raya Regency, Kalimantan Barat Regency. The main target of this activity is the parents/guardians of students of SLB Ibu Bahagia. The activity plan includes socialization about parenting, education about sexual harassment, and discussion sessions. The results of this activity show an increase in the understanding of participants (parents/guardians of students) in providing proper parenting and sharing knowledge about examples of improper parenting that must be avoided.

Abstract

One of the biggest contributors to the waste that goes into the Bantargebang TPST comes from areas and companies in DKI Jakarta. Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Government passed Governor Regulation No. 102 of 2021 concerning Obligations for Waste Management in Areas and Companies. With this Governor's Regulation, the waste bins not only meet the Governor's Regulation criteria but also must meet ergonomic standards to facilitate the sorting process. Pacific Place is one of the areas whose existing waste bins did not meet the criteria set by the Governor's Regulation, and segregation at the source was still ineffective, so it still must be re-sorted. As part of the Community Service, the team designed and provided ergonomic waste bins for sorting and provided socialization of a sorting system according to the Governor's Regulation. Prior to manufacturing ergonomic bins, a series of Focus Group Discussions (FGD), independent work, waste sampling, prototype trials, and socializations were carried out. Ergonomic waste bins have been designed according to Pacific Place requirements and comply with the Governor Regulation regulations and have high waste segregation efficiency with a 95-100% waste capture rate and 0-5% waste contamination rate for each type of waste bin tested: easy to decompose, recyclables and residue. The final product will be implemented in high-traffic areas so that it can also be an educational tool for Pacific Place visitors. With this implementation, Pacific Place is expected to contribute to reducing greenhouse gases from DKI Jakarta's solid waste sector and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

The community service aims to provide training and assistance related to the transparency and accountability of the foundation from law, communication, accounting, and information technology at the Radiyatan Mardiyah Foundation (YRM) Prumpung East Jakarta. Currently, YRM is facing several problems, that is does not have a deed of establishment of the foundation. In addition, YRM's financial statements are still simple and have not made financial statements based on the Foundation's financial accounting standards (Interpretation of Financial Accounting Standards/ISAK 35). This problem is due to the limited understanding of the foundation management related to the transparency and accountability of the foundation. These limitations are important to be facilitated by providing training and assistance related to transparency from the perspective of law, communication, accounting, and information technology. This activity builds a YRM web and financial report application based on information technology based ISAK 35. The foundation's transparency and accountability training from law, communication, accounting, and informatics techniques was felt by participants to provide additional knowledge and understanding related to the foundation's transparency and accountability. Participants were satisfied with the material provided because it was in accordance with the information needs that were needed by the foundation management. This activity provides benefits for trainees on how important transparency and accountability are for the foundation. The output of this service is that YRM immediately has a legal entity and is able to implement the information technology-based financial statements based on ISAK 35.
