Abstract

Mahkota Laweyan is a Small and Medium Industry in the field of environmentally friendly batik and produces "Toeli" brand batik made by deaf people. Recruitment of deaf people is intended to provide equal opportunities and rights for disabled people to get decent work. Mahkota Laweyan employs 17 employees and now has 17 types of patented batik products. These batik commodity products have met Indonesian National Standards (SNI) and have export potential. This product also has the right to use the collective brand held by the Laweyan Batik Kampoeng Development Forum (FPKBL). However, each batik product that has a patent requires a visual identity. For export purposes, a strong visual identity is needed because it is very important for products that have a good reputation. So far, visual identity design still does not use the GSM correctly so that it often experiences problems in visual identity consistency. The main problem faced by Mahkota Laweyan is a lack of understanding about GSM which is a basic requirement for marketing activities. Batik commodity products with export potential that have been produced and meet SNI do not yet have the visual identity they should have. Thus, the aim of implementing this activity is to help in solving problems in the application of GSM to visual identity. This assistance in the context of implementing community service is aimed at assisting SME Mahkota Laweyan with aspects of visual communication needs for marketing and branding purposes. The mentoring methods used in this service activity are lectures, demonstrations, and training methods for developing visual identity by applying GSM appropriately on batik products with export potential. The result of this activity was the creation of GSM and its application to various visual communication media accompanied by educational institutions from Malang State University.

Abstract

One of the members of the community who needs empowerment is the mothers of orphaned students. As single parents, they find it challenging to financially support their children, especially considering their low level of education and skills. If finding employment in a company is difficult, one solution that can be pursued is to start a Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME). With the advancements in current technology, one feasible option is to establish an online store. However, their skills in online business are still quite limited. Therefore, training in this field is essential, covering marketing strategies, marketing management, food photography, and online selling techniques. This community service program aimed at one of the foundations that support orphaned students and foster children, as well as nurture their mothers, namely the Orphanage Foundation of Pejaten (YYPP). The method used involves face-to-face offline training, workshops for direct practice, monitoring and mentoring, until the participants are capable of running an online store proficiently. The pre-test and post-test results show that participants' knowledge about social media changed from 77% to 100%, knowledge about product branding changed from 8% to 85%, knowledge about photography changed from 31% to 92%, and knowledge about online sales changed from 23% to 85%. The participants expressed satisfaction, especially in terms of delivering content. 85% of participants stated that they strongly agreed that program was presented effectively by the speakers.

Abstract

Indonesia has enormous potential for new renewable energy (EBT), but it has not been followed up with optimal utilization and energy saving behavior is still very low in everyday life. The introduction of EBT-based learning media in the form of solar power plants (PLTS), hydroelectric power plants (PLTA) and wind power plants (PLTB) is the technology that is most easily applied to all groups in various sectors, especially in the education sector. Utilization of PLTS, PLTA and PLTB technology requires human resources (HR) who have the competence to manage it. So this Community Service Activity (PKM) program proposes training in creating an EBT power plant at SMK Negri 7 Pontianak as a means to support human resources in understanding energy conservation and the use of EBT. The learning media consists of a PLTS display with a photovoltaic system, a PLTA display with a mini turbine connected to a dynamo and a PLTB display which utilizes the power of wind gusts to rotate a turbine which is then connected directly to a generator so that each display device produces electrical energy. Methods for carrying out activities include implementation and socialization of learning media. From the results of the presentation and training on making EBT power plants, students and teachers were enthusiastic about hearing and gaining new understanding and skills regarding the use of EBT technology in the form of learning media.

Abstract

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV) behavior are issues that should not be allowed to occur in the educational environment, which should uphold ethical values concerning integrity, accountability, and respect for fellow human beings. Unfortunately, sexual violence continues to occur in various countries, including Indonesia. The purpose of this community service project is to provide Prevention and Management Education on OGBV so that students and educators can understand and identify GBV, especially OGBV. The community service activities were conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bantan, Bengkalis Regency, by providing basic knowledge about gender and gender inequality that can lead to the emergence of OGBV. The method used in these activities was a workshop that required active participation from male and female students to discuss and provide examples of proactive steps to prevent OGBV. The results of this community service project indicate a 34.81% increase in students' understanding of OGBV. This increase was obtained from the pre-test and post-test results conducted by students after participating in the OGBV education activities. The enhanced understanding of OGBV by students following this community service project highlights the importance of education and awareness regarding OGBV. Consequently, it is hoped that this will contribute to efforts to break the chain of gender-based violence in general.

Abstract

Hard skills-based roll payment training is training in skills to analyze, consider and calculate the factors that must be compensated for employees in their salaries. This training is aimed at medium-sized businesses in Jakarta. The training participants are specifically for medium-sized businesses because medium-sized businesses already have employees and their salaries are fixed. The training consists of 3 sessions, Session 1 is a presentation of material regarding the concept of calculating salaries with the factors that will be included in the salary. In the second session, all participants were given the opportunity to calculate employee salaries at their respective places of business. Furthermore, in the final session, participants were accompanied to calculate their employee payroll in the payroll web application. From the results of this activity, it is known that there are still many medium-sized businesses in Jakarta whose employee salary schemes are only based on the range of employee salaries in the market in general. After participating in this activity, participants will better understand the factors that need to be assessed to be compensated in their employee salary schemes. To develop the innovation of this activity, the payroll web apps prototype was renamed to schemagaji.com. This name change was carried out because the results of observations showed that the name was easier for potential users to remember (potential persona/user). Based on the results of this activity, it is recommended that training related to human resource management for medium-sized businesses be provided more frequently and developed with material at the next level. This is important to do, considering that the training most often provided to medium-sized businesses is material related to product promotion, production systems, digital marketing and business legalization.
