Fokus publishes original research or theoretical papers about teaching and learning in Guidance and Counseling study program of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung on current science issues, namely: Guidance and Counseling educator in elementary, secondary and high school level. Guidance and Counseling observers and researchers. Educational decisions maker on regional and national level. We recommend classroom action research, qualitative, descriptive, or quantitative. We may process manuscript of didactic development research (DDR) or research and development (RnD). Our publication could be research on teaching method, an experiment of teaching aid or media, and even effectiveness of lesson study. We accepted any manuscript derived from research of Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. We will not process manuscript from research approach of school management.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a very important capital for a person to have the choice to be aware of themselves. Confidence is one of the side effects of positive self-realization, by having the confidence of students who are ready to cultivate the abilities, interests and possibilities that exist in him so that it can be formed into victory or around it is called achievement.. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. The purpose in this study is to explain the implementation of group guidance for learners who have low self-confidence in Ummul Quro Junior High School.The subjects of this study were 6 learners (3 men and 3 women) Class VIII at Ummul Quro Junior High School. The information obtained in this review is information obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. It can be concluded that the number of directions for learners who have low self-confidence is very attractive in managing low self-confidence in school.Keywords: Group guidance, self confidence

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in SMA Negeri 1 Margaasih where some students experience social media addiction. As a from effort made to deal with these problems group guidance services with self-management techniques can be an alternative to reduce social media addiction behavior. Because it aims to make students able to determine the implementation of group guidance services with self-management techniques for students who are addicted to social media. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection instrument used observation, intervews and documentation. The subjects of this study amounted to 6 students who experienced addiction to social media can be reduced. So that the implementation of groups guidance services with self-management techniques is effective for class XII students of SMA Negeri Margaasih who are addicted to social media. Keywords:      Group Guidance, Self-Management, Social Media Addiction

Abstract

Academic procrastination is a problem that often occurs among SMP/MTs students. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of guidance services with self-management techniques to overcome academic procrastination of students at MTsN 3 Purwakarta during the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The population in the study was 32 students in class VIII E MTsN 3 Purwakarta. Based on the results of interviews with BK teachers and homeroom teachers from the population, there were 6 students who experienced academic procrastination. Collecting data in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. From the results of the data analysis, group guidance services have been provided with self-management techniques through several stages and are going well. From these stages, it produces an overview of group guidance services with self-management techniques that can overcome academic procrastination of students at MTsN 3 Purwakarta during the covid-19 pandemic. Keywords:   Group Guidance, Self-Management Techniques, Academic Procrastination

Abstract

Self-adjustment is a process carried out by students in an effort to achieve self-harmony with the environment, so that feelings such as insecurity, disappointment, a sense of wanting to isolate themselves from the environment and others as negative emotions can be removed or avoided from within. student. As above, the ability to adapt is important for every student. Therefore, a measuring instrument is needed to determine the condition of self-adjustment of the self-adjustment questionnaire students, namely using R&D development research (Research and Development) which aims to test the validity and reliability of the self-adjustment questionnaire. With research subjects class XI SMAN 2 Padalarang. And the results of the validity test of this self-adjustment questionnaire state that there are 12 valid questions and the results of the reliability test with a total of 0.453 which are categorized as moderate from 30 questions made by researchers from 25 respondents. Keywords:  self-adjustment, validity, reliability

Abstract

This study aims to implement the implementation of career guidance services, find out the responses of students, find out what obstacles are faced by students and find out the obstacles faced by Guidance and Counseling teachers in the implementation of career guidance services assisted by the rencanamu.id application to assist students in maturity. career. The method used is descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of career guidance is carried out face-to-face and online with four (4) sessions. Positive student responses to the implementation of career guidance services assisted by the Paketmu.id application. The obstacles faced by students in implementing career guidance services assisted by the Planmu.id application in increasing career maturity are often feeling bored and bored, then the signal must be stable so that it is often delayed and consuming quota. The obstacle experienced by BK teachers is that they find it difficult to condition students considering learning situations that are carried out online and at different times and rhythms. Discipline and motivation of students in completing applications is a challenge for teachers given the different backgrounds and abilities of students. Abstract

This research is motivated by the finding of students who have low self-confidence in school. This study was conducted to determine the implementation, teacher and student responses as well as obstacles in group guidance, which is a form of effort in counseling guidance services to provide students' understanding in increasing self-confidence. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive research approach that combines three ways of collecting data, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The research sample is class XI students at SMA Negeri 5 Karawang, namely 1 BK coordinator, 1 BK teacher and 6 students who have low self-confidence. The results showed that the implementation of guidance groups in schools had been carried out well, although there were obstacles in the service delivery process. After being given group service guidance with role-playing techniques, there was a significant change in behavior, especially in the self-confidence of the 6 students compared to before the service was given. So it can be understood that the guidance group service with role-playing techniques is quite effective in increasing students' confidence in school. Keywords: : Self-confidence, Group guidance services, Role Playing Techniques, Students

Abstract

Minat belajar memiliki peranan penting dalam pendidikan, selain berperan sebagai dorongan terhadap siswa untuk mencapai prestasi yang optimal minat belajar juga berperan sebagai penentu dari hasil belajar peserta didik. Sebab itu dibutuhkan alat ukur minat belajar yaitu berupa angket minat belajar yang sudah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Darul Falah Batujajar kelas XI berjumlah 10 siswa. Dari hasil uji validitas dari 26 pernyataan terdapat 14 pernyataan yang dinyatakan valid serta uji validitas mendapatkan nilai sebesar 0,743 yang berarti termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Dengan begitu angket minat belajar bisa digunakan untuk mengukur minat belajar peserta didik.Kata Kunci: Minat Belajar, Validitas, Reliabilitas

Abstract

AbstrakPenyesuaian diri siswa SMA yakni suatu proses/usaha yang dilakukan individu dalam menghadapi lingkungan baru, teman baru, guru baru dengan tujuan dapat diterima oleh orang lain seperti dilingkungan sekolah sebelumnya (SMP). Layanan Bimbingan Kelompok Teknik Diskusi Secara Daring untuk Meningkatkan Penyesuaian Diri Siswa ini salah satu upaya yang dilakukan guru BK terhadap siswanya yang memiliki permasalahan terkait penyesuaian diri pada masa pandemi covid-19 ini. Imbasnya seluruh siswa diwajibkan mengikuti semua kegiatan belajar secara daring (dalam jaringan). Tujuan diadakannya layanan teknik diskusi ini siswa diharapkan dapat memecahkan permasalahan dan mendapatkan solusinya terkait penyesuaian diri dibantu guru BK, dan siswa lain, salah satunya dengan berdiskusi, tanya jawab, melalui Whatsapp Group. Metode yang digunakan peneliti yakni kualitatif deskriptif, peneliti menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini siswa merasa terbantu dan dapat beradaptasi dengan baik, sehingga proses layanan yang diadakan di SMAN 1 Cipongkor dapat terlaksana dengan lancar.Kata Kunci: Penyesuaian diri, Siswa, Teknik Diskusi.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the description of self-concept in class XI science students at SMAN 4 Cimahi. According to Burns, (1993) self-concept is the main part that exists in each individual because it is considered important as an attitude that tends to influence individual behavior. Quantitative approach with descriptive method is the method used in this research. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, as well as a measuring instrument in the form of a questionnaire derived from the self-concept theory by Burns (1993) which amounted to 12 statements with a sample of 32 students with male and female gender. The results showed that the frequency of 28 students (73%) with positive self-concept, namely, 7 male students and 16 female students, while the frequency of 9 students (28%) with negative self-concept, namely, 2 male students and 7 students. woman.Keywords: self-concept, Student

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of group guidance services with discussion methode in developing positive self-concepts for class IX students at SMP Karya Pembangunan Pasirjambuonline via WhatsApp. Data collection techniques in this study include observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results demonstrated that students with negative self-concepts who participated were slowly able to understand and develop their positive self-concepts. In this study, the service was conducted three times. The first meeting was held to strengthen the relationship between group members, and the second meeting discussed self-concept, problem identification and existing problem-solving strategies, and in the last meeting evaluation and follow-up were carried out. The results of the service found that students with negative self-concepts who participated in group guidance services with online discussion methods at the SMP Karya Pembangunan Pasirjambuslowly and developed their positive self-concepts. This can be seen from during the service process where students can realize their self-concept.Keywords:Group Guidance, Online Discussion Method, Self Concept.
