Abstract

This study aims to develop an inquiry laboratory skill assessment on 21st Century Biological Problems. The assessment tool developed is a non-test assessment in the form of tasks and rubrics. The research and development method (R&D) was used in this study. The subjects of this research were 30 students from one of the public high schools in Banten Province. This research instrument used performance assessment tools in tasks and rubrics, while the data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and data collection purposive sampling. The study showed that the validity of Aiken's V is 0.53. It can be said that the performance assessment tool is declared valid. The reliability value had an average measure value of 0.778. Moreover, the ICC (Interclass Correlation Coefficient) value assessed by three raters was categorized as moderate or moderate reliability. Based on the results of data analysis, the resulting instrument is ready to be used directly in measuring learning outcomes or as an assessment prototype for further development, especially in measuring students' laboratory inquiry abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze teachers’ perspectives as learning agents on the competency assessment system in graduation determination in SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga. The national assessment includes socialization, practice, teachers’ perspectives, and control. At the same time, an assessment provides literacy, numeration, and character assessment. The researcher took the data by qualitative methodology in this study, consisting of interviews, observations, and documentation. This research had the subject of the principal of SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga, the vice principal of curriculum, and the teacher. This study used interactive model data analysis techniques to check the validity of source triangulation data. The result showed that SMA Negeri 2 Salatiga had been assessed for graduation determination. The teachers understood the purpose of the assessment, although there are several pros and contra to implementation, such as some teachers have complained about several complex assessments. It caused teachers to need a long time for students’ character assessments. Then, most teachers assumed that assessment for graduation determination was appropriate for students because it made students think more critically. Also, it would improve the education field because a national exam is considered not a flexible assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of study program motivation on the overall performance index of students enrolled in UHAMKA PGSD. All 485 students from the PGSD at the UHAMKA’s batch of 2018 made up the study's sample. This study used the associative method along with a quantitative approach. With a total sample of 90 students, sampling was done using the Simple Random Sampling approach. A questionnaire and documentation were the study's tools. Before the instrument was utilized in the study, validity and reliability tests were performed to assess the instrument's quality. A straightforward regression analysis was used to examine the research data. The results had a sign value of 0.002 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) had been accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) had been rejected. Therefore, the analysis in this study's conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between the desire to select a study program and the overall achievement index of the UHAMKA class of 2018, with a coefficient of determination (adjusted R square) of 10.3%.

Abstract

The study aims to develop handout teaching materials on stunting material implemented in Physiology courses to measure the level of understanding of student concepts. This study used the ADDIE model's R&D (research and development) methods. The research was conducted on UNIKI Physical Education study program students in semester two, totaling 100 people. The research instrument was a questionnaire to test the validity, practicality, and legibility of stunting handouts and conceptual understanding tests. The data analysis technique was used to test the validity and practicality of the handout using percentage score analysis through a validation questionnaire sheet. While the effectiveness test used a 25-item question instrument, the data was analyzed using SPSS 22.00 software statistical analysis testing. The results of this study showed that the stunting handout was very valid and feasible to be used as teaching material to measure the level of conceptual understanding with the acquisition of a score. Moreover, the stunting handout was very valid and feasible to be used as teaching material to measure the level of conceptual understanding with the acquisition of scores, namely: 90% media experts; 94.2% teaching material design experts; 87% material experts; 90% field practitioners; 90% readability by students. Then the effectiveness test results showed that the Sig (2-Tailed) value was 0.000 <0.05. It showed that there was a difference in the first and post-test scores. Thus, proving stunting material handouts in the Physiology course improves students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) counseling to improve the mental health of students of the BK Uhamka study program in 2021. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The number of samples in this study amounted to 11 students of UHAMKA counseling guidance in 2021 with sampling using the purposive sampling method. This research instrument uses a questionnaire. As for the data analysis technique using the Wilcoxon T test. The results of this study indicate that the Wilcoxon T test with calculations using SPSS ver. 26 prove simp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.003. Because the value is 0.003 <0.05, so Ho is rejected, in other words there is a significant effect before and after giving the pretest-posttest. So it can be concluded that group counseling services using REBT techniques are effective in improving students' mental health. It can be seen from the 11 students who took counseling with the REBT technique that their pretest and posttest scores increased or in other words experienced changes after being given counseling services with the REBT technique.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a short story appreciation assessment instrument using the Ruang Sastra Website and Spreadsheet for high school students. This study used the Research and Development method from Borg and Gall. The subjects in this study were teachers and high school students. The data used are qualitative and quantitative, with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to teachers and students online using Google Forms, interviews with teachers, and expert validation. The data analysis technique in this study was in the form of descriptive analysis of scores obtained from the validation results of experts, practitioners, and response questionnaires. The results of this study indicated that developing a short story appreciation assessment instrument based on websites and spreadsheets for high school students was feasible in terms of exploratory studies, development of assessment instrument designs, and expert validation tests.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship education and self-efficacy as entrepreneurial motivation for students of Economics education at the State University of Surabaya. The research method was a quantitative causal design. The sample of this research was the students of the Economic Education study program, State University of Surabaya, batch 2020, totaling 66 people who have received the Entrepreneurship Education Course. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique of this research was multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed that entrepreneurship education had a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial motivation. Self-efficacy had a positive and significant impact on entrepreneurial motivation in students, and entrepreneurship education and self-efficacy had a simultaneous effect on the entrepreneurial basis in Economics education students, State University of Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Indonesian Phonics Intelligent Learning Model (CBI FONIK) in Stimulating Early Childhood Listening Ability in Pelangi Alam Kindergarten, Ponorogo. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Observation, interview, and documentation were used to collect the data. This study used observation to see the application of listening skills using the Indonesian Phonics Smart learning model (CBI FONIK). Interviews were addressed to the principal, teachers, and students in group A. The child's achievement card served as documentation. Data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman model. It was carried out using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification/drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Smart Indonesian Phonics (CBI FONIK) learning model used the pre-phonic level with the single-story poster and song technique. Its application is not only done in the classroom but mainly in the school environment (nature). Most children can listen well and can say any words they hear.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of the Cambridge curriculum in Mathematics learning with project-based learning in elementary school. This research was conducted using a qualitative case study approach. Data collection in this study involved a 3rd-grade teacher who taught the Cambridge curriculum and one of the 3rd-grade students as an informant. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. This study was analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion and verification. The research showed that applying the Cambridge curriculum in mathematics learning with project-based learning provides meaning for students in Islamic elementary schools in absorbing learning materials, mastering concepts, creativity, and student activity. The results of this research impact the teaching and learning process that prioritizes the needs of students according to their age, and parental support influences children in getting a lesson.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the influence of the Local Wisdom-based Problem Based Learning model Appatabe' on the value of tolerance and learning outcomes of the students of SD Inpres Hombes Armed Gowa Regency. This research method was quantitative research. This method of research was a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were all students of the Inpres Hombes Armed Elementary School, for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The samples in this study were 32 students of Class Va as an experimental class and class Vb as a control class of 31 students of SD Inpres Hombes Armed. The instrument used was the value of tolerance, and social studies learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used is the data normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The test results showed that from the results of the independent sample t-test with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05, this means that Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between tolerance and student learning outcomes in class V SD Inpres Hombes Armed. Thus, the Problem Based Learning Model Based on Local Wisdom Appatabe' affects the value of tolerance and student learning outcomes. Teachers can use this model in teaching and learning activities or create a new learning atmosphere.
