Abstract

This study explores how lecturers at Tanjungpura University implement case and project-based learning models to strengthen the Merdeka Curriculum. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data were gathered from 49 lecturers across various faculties through questionnaires and unstructured interviews. Data analysis involved descriptive techniques, with questionnaire results analyzed by frequency and percentage, while interview responses were interpreted qualitatively to identify key themes. Findings indicate that while many lecturers have begun integrating case and project-based learning, the extent of implementation varies significantly among faculties. Significant challenges include a lack of awareness and understanding of these models, insufficient institutional support, and difficulty integrating these methods into theory-heavy or practice-oriented courses. However, factors such as the need to align teaching practices with accreditation standards and the availability of faculty development programs are essential enablers. The study concludes that case and project-based learning hold significant potential for enriching the Merdeka Curriculum, and more structured support and awareness-building initiatives are necessary to realize their full benefits. Recommendations for lecturers include improving competencies through training, collaborating in learning design, and developing evaluation methods. For policymakers, strengthening institutional support, socializing the curriculum, and reviewing policies to integrate case and project-based learning are advised.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of resilience on work readiness in MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) internship students. Non-experimental correlational study design was used. A quantitative approach through regression and descriptive statistical analysis was used to analyze the collected data. Non-probability sampling, specifically the convenience sampling, was also used. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire using Google Forms. The respondents consisted of 140 students from a university in West Java who had participated in the MBKM internship program. The Resilience Quotient Test (RQ-Test) and Work Readiness Scale (WRS) were used to measure resilience and work readiness, respectively. The result of this study showed that resilience had a significant role on work readiness (r2 = 0.285; p = 0.000). This study is expected to present information and contribute theoretically towards resilience and its role towards work readiness in MBKM internship students. The result of this study can be used by students that participate in the internship program to evaluate themselves and to show them the importance of developing resilience for their work readiness in the future.

Abstract

This study explored the effectiveness of teaching functional literacy to a 12-year-old slow learner in Indonesia. The participant struggles read words longer than two syllables and struggles to meet academic expectations. This research uses a qualitative approach with the single-subject design using the reversal method or the ABA research design.  Data was collected through three phases: baseline, intervention, and evaluation phases. This study utilizes two sets of flashcards as instruments. The first set consists of pictorial cards displaying twelve common street signs, while the second set contains word cards with the matching names of the signs in Bahasa Indonesia. Each card is printed on a 13 cm by 7 cm flashcard. Over the intervention sessions, the participant demonstrated significant progress in functional reading skills. The data collected was then analyzed using visual analysis. The results indicates that slow learners benefit from frequent, concrete, and visually based learning abilities that aligns for their need for repetition. This study highlights the importance of functional literacy in enhancing independent living skills among slow learners, providing the students with the tool to better navigate their surroundings.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a digital-based learning evaluation model for Senior High School students. This research method used a design research approach with a development study type. This research followed the model developed by Tessmer, which includes the stages of preliminary and formative evaluation. The formative evaluation stage encompasses self-evaluation, prototyping (expert review, one-to-one, and small group), as well as field testing. The data collection techniques for this research involved interviews and questionnaires, with data analysis conducted through both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of this study indicated that the material validation score was 95.33%, categorized as "very feasible," the language validation score was 93%, also categorized as "very worthy," and the media validation score was 93%, categorized as "very worthy." The results of the response test obtained from the initial trial showed a response from educators of 88% and from students of 87.22%, both categorized as very worthy. Meanwhile, the results from the small group trial indicated a response from educators of 93.89%, also categorized as very worthy, and a response from students of 92.17%, which is again categorized as very worthy. It is clear that Senior High School teachers and students can benefit much from using the digital-based learning evaluation paradigm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking skills by using interactive modules integrated with problem-based learning on the excretory system material. The research method used pra experimental research design with a One-Shot Case Study. The data collection instrument was critical thinking ability test questions analyzed using SPSS version 27 software. The results showed a significant value for the T-test of 0.000 (<0.05), with an average N-gain score of 0.63, meaning there was a significant difference. The results of critical thinking abilities before and after using the PBL integrated interactive e-module with a significant increase of 0.63 (medium). So it is concluded that the PBL integrated interactive e-module is feasible, practical, and effective for improving students' critical thinking skills in studying biology on excretory system material.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an English textbook based on local wisdom to improve the students’ literacy. This research used a research and development (R&D) method with an ADDIE model, which consists of five stages, namely, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were the MA Almunawwaroh Merauke students for XI class. The research used tests, interviews, and questionnaires to collect the data. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the research showed that the development of English books was in the good or feasible category. As the result of validation, based on assessment from the English lecturer, the content aspect before revision was 31 while after revision was 47, the presentation aspect before revision was 43, and after revision was 67, based language aspect where the stage before revision was 18 and after revision was 31, on the graphical aspect where the stage before revision was 28 and the stage after revision was 38. Based on the assessment of the English teacher, for the content aspect before revision, the score was 29 while the stage after the revision was 45, the presentation aspect where before the revision is 44, and after the revision was 66, on the language aspect where the stage before the revision was 19 and after the revision was 29, on the graphic aspect where the stage before the revision was 25 and the stage after the revision was 33. Furthermore, in the assessment of the principal based on content before revision the results of score is 28 while the stage after revision was 42, in the aspect of presentation before revision the overall score was 36, and after revision gets a score of 65, in the aspect of language where the stage before revision was 18 and after revision 29, in the aspect of graphics where the stage before revision was worth 23 and the stage after revision was worth 32. Before the book was used by all the students. The researchers did a trial by giving tests to students. Furthermore, the trial was conducted on 20 students. The students were given tests to know the students’ literacy after implementing the book. Furthermore, the trial was conducted on 20 students at MA Al-Munawwaroh by giving questions in the book that had been prepared, while the average value of the test results was 76.95.

Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers’ usage and perceived value of 40 technology tools in order to enhance student learning outcomes. The study seeks to propose feasible approaches concerning the transition from traditional methods of teaching, towards technology-enhanced teaching in the classroom. This study employed the mixed method approach with embedded mixed methods research design. The data collection techniques were questionnaire, and open-ended questions. Face and content validity was assessed before the administration of the questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used for quantitative variables. Quantitative data were analyzed by thematic analysis. The results of this study show that only 11% of the teachers are utilizing technology tools in the classroom with learners to support their instructional practices. This study provides valuable insights that will help teachers, principals, and policy makers move toward more technology-enhanced teaching and learning.
