Abstract

This study investigates cyberbullying experiences among students in the Accounting program at SMK Negeri 3 Sukoharjo and their implications for psychological well-being and academic achievement. Responding to rising social media risks among adolescents, the research employs a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and documentation with victims of cyberbullying, guidance and counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, and the vice principal for student affairs. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis involving systematic coding, theme development, and interpretation, supported by source triangulation and member checking to enhance credibility. Findings indicate that cyberbullying—manifested as ridicule, negative comments, and unauthorized sharing of personal content—produces anxiety, diminished self-confidence, and social withdrawal. Consequently, affected students exhibit reduced concentration, lower classroom participation, and declining grades in several subjects. The study highlights the critical role of schools in mitigating cyberbullying by strengthening digital literacy, expanding counseling services, and establishing secure, sustainable reporting mechanisms. Recommendations emphasize integrated prevention strategies that involve teachers, parents, and school administrators to protect student welfare and support academic resilience.

Abstract

This study analyses facial aesthetics through eyebrow-shaping techniques within contemporary beauty trends and their implications for cosmetology education. A systematic literature review following PRISMA was conducted on 32 Scopus and SINTA-indexed articles published from 2016 to 2025. Searches were performed in Scopus, SINTA, and Google Scholar using keywords combining facial aesthetics, eyebrow anatomy, microblading, and cosmetology education. Synthesis findings indicate that eyebrows play a central role in facial expression and proportion; ideal eyebrow position is slightly above the orbital rim in women and at or above the rim in men, with sex differences in thickness and arch. There is no universal eyebrow shape; aesthetic success depends on fit with facial structure, proportional balance, and individual preference. The review also identifies risks of overcorrection in corrective procedures and underscores the need to integrate anthropometric analysis into training. This study contributes a conceptual framework that integrates anthropometry, orbital anatomy, and eyebrow-shaping practice as a foundation for vocational curricula. Further research should test the module and validate assessment instruments.

Abstract

This study analyzes the empirical needs for developing augmented Reality (AR)-based game learning media integrated with local wisdom to support cultural Learning in Integrated Science and Social Studies at the elementary level. Using a qualitative case study within a needs analysis framework, the study involved 28 fifth-grade students and 3 teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, four-point Likert-scale questionnaires, and structured classroom observations, and were analyzed thematically through triangulation. The findings reveal three key gaps. Cultural learning remains dominated by teacher-centered instruction and limited interactive media (M=2.1). Students show strong preferences for visual media (M=3.7) and game-based Learning (M=3.6). Their knowledge of local cultural heritage is still low (M=1.9). Teachers also expressed positive views on integrating game mechanics and AR, though technical readiness remains a constraint. Overall, the findings provide an empirical basis for developing contextual, interactive, and culturally relevant AR Monopoly media to improve literacy, Engagement, and cultural understanding in digital learning environments.

Abstract

This study investigates the distribution of lower-order and higher-order thinking skills (LOTS–HOTS) in the evaluation questions of the English Bupena textbook by integrating Bloom's Revised Taxonomy and the SOLO Taxonomy as a dual analytical framework. It aims to examine the extent to which textbook evaluation tasks support students' critical and higher-order thinking skills in line with curriculum demands. A total of 81 evaluation items were analyzed using qualitative descriptive content analysis supported by quantitative frequency calculations. Each item was systematically coded according to Bloom's cognitive dimensions and SOLO structural complexity, with reliability ensured through inter-coder agreement. The results show that 80.25% of the questions are LOTS, while only 19.75% are HOTS. Most items fall at the unistructural and multistructural levels, indicating limited opportunities for relational and extended abstract reasoning. These findings suggest that the textbook predominantly promotes surface-level learning rather than deep cognitive Engagement. The study highlights the value of multidimensional cognitive frameworks for evaluating the quality of EFL textbook assessment.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between self-efficacy and academic procrastination in completing final assignments among university students. A quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis was employed. The participants consisted of 47 Biology Education students at the University of Jambi who were completing their final projects. Data were collected using validated self-efficacy and academic procrastination scales. The findings revealed that both self-efficacy (79%) and academic procrastination (72%) were at moderate levels. Regression analysis indicated that self-efficacy significantly influenced academic procrastination (p < 0.005), contributing 47.6% to the variance. Interestingly, the positive regression coefficient suggests a potential overconfidence effect, where higher self-efficacy may lead to delayed task completion due to underestimation of task demands. This finding highlights that self-efficacy alone is insufficient to ensure productive academic behavior without adequate self-regulation. The study implies that universities should integrate psychological support and time management training to optimize students’ academic performance and reduce procrastination during the final assignment process.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of the SQ3R strategy assisted by interactive multimedia on fifth-grade students’ reading comprehension and compared it with conventional learning. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, the study involved Grade V students of SD Negeri 1 Cening, divided into experimental and control classes. The instrument was a short-story reading comprehension test administered as pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using prerequisite tests, Paired Sample t-test, Independent Sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. Results showed a significant effect in the experimental class (Sig. two-tailed <0.001; mean difference = -29.350). The independent test also indicated a significant difference between groups (t = -2.741; Sig. = 0.009; mean difference = -11.191). The N-Gain score of 0.47 was moderate, suggesting that the SQ3R strategy supported by interactive multimedia is effective for active and meaningful reading comprehension learning in elementary schools and can serve as an innovative alternative for literacy instruction in primary classrooms effectively.

Abstract

This study examines how exclusive friendship circles trigger bullying and how teachers respond to strengthen elementary students’ mental health at SD Negeri 2 Giritontro, Wonogiri, Central Java. Using a qualitative case study, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers, sixth-grade students, and school records. The findings show that bullying occurs in verbal, social, and physical forms. Verbal bullying includes teasing and derogatory naming, social bullying involves exclusion from peer activities, and physical bullying includes pushing, hitting, and hair pulling. These behaviors emerge from dominant peer-group dynamics that create in-group and out-group boundaries. Bullying negatively affects victims’ mental health by reducing confidence, increasing fear, causing social withdrawal, and disrupting learning engagement. Teachers address bullying through preventive, repressive, and curative strategies, including class rules, supervision, immediate reprimands, and emotional support. The study highlights the importance of addressing peer-group dynamics to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment for children and strengthen students’ social development and well-being.

Abstract

Despite growing policy emphasis on positive discipline in Indonesian schools, empirical evidence on leadership predictors of discipline culture remains limited. This study examines whether principals' transformational leadership is associated with positive discipline culture in Indonesian public primary schools. Using a quantitative ex post facto (correlational) survey design, data were collected from 130 teachers across 20 public primary schools using proportionate stratified random sampling to ensure school-level representation. Teachers completed validated Likert-scale questionnaires measuring transformational leadership (36 items; α = .975) and positive discipline culture (36 items; α = .975). Simple linear regression indicated that transformational leadership significantly predicted positive discipline culture (R² = .579; B = 0.718; p < .001), representing a large effect size (f² = 1.375). This study contributes district-level evidence positioning positive discipline culture as a proximal organizational outcome sensitive to transformational leadership behaviors. Implications for principal professional development, leadership coaching, and district-level supervision are discussed. The cross-sectional, self-report design limits causal inference and generalizability.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of teachers’ pedagogical competence on learning quality in public elementary schools in Tanggungharjo Subdistrict, Grobogan Regency. Employing a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 137 teachers selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires measuring pedagogical competence and learning quality, and were analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression with SPSS. The findings reveal a positive and significant relationship between pedagogical competence and learning quality (r = 0.832; p < 0.001), indicating a very strong association. The coefficient of determination shows that pedagogical competence contributes 69.3% to the variance in learning quality. The regression equation (Y = 27.769 + 1.045X) suggests that improvements in pedagogical competence are directly followed by increases in learning quality. These results highlight the critical role of pedagogical competence as a key determinant of instructional effectiveness and emphasize the importance of targeted professional development programs to enhance teaching quality in elementary education.
