Abstract

This research is based on students' difficulty in understanding narrative text. The purpose of this research is to describe the design, feasibility test results, and effectiveness test results of developing audiovisual media for the history of the Old City of Semarang based on Canva on the ability to understand narrative text information for grade V students of SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang.  This research method is Research and Development (R&D) guided by Sugiyono's research with a modified Borg and Gall design up to step 8. The research subjects are fifth grade students of SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The validation results from media experts and material experts were 95% and 83% respectively with a very feasible category.  The effectiveness test on small-scale and large-scale trials at SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang with an increase in the average pretest and postest, respectively 45 and 90. The results of the Wilcoxon t-test calculation were <0.05, namely 0.000 so that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The n-gain increase is 0.8136 which is above 0.7 in the high category. So it can be concluded that the audiovisual media of the history of the Old City of Semarang based on canva on the ability to understand the information of narrative text of fifth grade students of SDN Jomblang 02 Semarang is effective. The implications of this research consist of theoretical, practical, and pedagogical implications.

Abstract

This study aims to identify trends in digital media development in mathematics learning in elementary schools during the period 2015-2025. The method employed is a systematic review using the PRISMA approach, which involves 25 selected articles from relevant national and international journals. Article selection is based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to map the relationships between keywords, authors, and topics. The results of the analysis indicate an increase in research trends over the last decade, with a primary focus on interactive digital media, including Android applications, educational games, and augmented reality. The dominant keywords that emerge are digital media, mathematics, and elementary schools, which are often associated with increased motivation and student learning outcomes. Visualization from VOSviewer reveals the main clusters that connect learning technology, media effectiveness, and curriculum innovation. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of the direction of digital media development in elementary mathematics education. They can serve as an important reference for researchers and practitioners in developing innovative and relevant learning strategies to meet the needs of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on scientific literacy on environmental pollution material for grade X students of Senior High School. The research method employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, utilizing a 3D model, conducted at MAN 1 in Bandung City. The instruments used include interview sheets, validation sheets, readability sheets, student response questionnaires, and student worksheets. The validation results indicate that LKPD falls into the 'valid to very valid' category, with a media expert score of 71.25% and a material expert score of 81.33%. The readability test results were 79% and 85%, respectively, and the student response was 86.4%. The average value of the limited trial reached 91. It can be concluded that LKPD, based on scientific literacy regarding environmental pollution and materials, is feasible and effective in supporting biology learning through scientific literacy. Biology teachers can apply the practical implications of this study to enhance the effectiveness of learning and serve as a reference in developing LKPD on other topics related to environmental issues.

Abstract

This study explores the suboptimal competence and work discipline of high school teachers. It aims to understand the meaning, perceptions, experiences, and real practices of teachers related to personality and discipline. A descriptive, qualitative approach was employed, utilizing purposive sampling, with experienced teachers from SMAN 42 East Jakarta. Data were collected through interviews and observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that personality competence is seen as being a role model through honesty and fairness, while discipline is reflected in a strong sense of responsibility. The primary obstacle is an administrative workload that hampers disciplinary focus, while support is provided through MGMP training and regular character-building programs. The implications underscore the importance of institutional support and policy adjustments in reducing administrative burdens, enabling teachers to focus more effectively on teaching and student character development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ”Implementation of Technology-Based Learning Media in Javanese Language Learning Phase F students”. It also identifies the problems encountered during implementation and the solutions applied to overcome them. The research is motivated by the need for adaptable learning in response to technological advancements, particularly within the Javanese local content curriculum, which students often find unengaging. We adopted a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study research design. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 and SMA Negeri 2 Purbalingga, involving teachers, students, and school principals as subjects. Data collection techniques included direct observation of the learning process, in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, and documentation of learning tools and media. The findings indicate that technology-based press, such as PowerPoint (PPT), learning videos, and interactive applications like Quizizz, Kahoot, and Canva, significantly enhanced student participation and comprehension. The primary obstacles to implementing these media included limited internet access, low digital literacy among teachers, and uneven distribution of infrastructure. Solutions implemented to address these issues involved teacher training, providing offline media, and improving school technology infrastructure. This research highlights the importance of integrating technology into local content learning, which should be grounded in cultural wisdom and contemporary needs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of differentiated instruction on learners' social interaction in primary schools. This research applied the literature review method and analysed the data with a simplified approach to simplify the problem-solving process. The results show that the implementation of the differentiated instruction approach has a positive impact on learners' social interaction. This approach fosters cooperation in groups, through discussion, learners also develop their communication skills. Differentiated instruction not only plays a role in improving academic achievement, but also in shaping learners' character in socialising and empathising. The implementation of differentiated instruction shows effectiveness in increasing learning participation, so teachers should consider this approach in planning and implementing teaching. The results also support the view that flexible, learner-centred learning can create a learning environment that is inclusive, adaptive and supports the development of social and cognitive skills. This research can also serve as a reference to encourage teacher training to effectively implement the differentiated instruction approach.

Abstract

The lack of understanding among students with kinesthetic learning styles regarding computer network concepts, particularly in digital security skills, requires a more practical and contextual learning approach. This study evaluates the efficacy of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach, supported by Cisco Packet Tracer simulation, in enhancing student competencies in informatics subjects. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. One experimental class was given learning using simulation-based PBL, and measurements were taken before and after treatment. The findings indicated that the implementation of PBL via Cisco Packet Tracer simulation markedly enhanced students' network security competencies and fostered critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This study demonstrates that integrating PBL and digital simulation can be an effective strategy in informatics education. Recommendations for future research include the use of more robust experimental designs with comparison groups, as well as the exploration of immersive learning technologies such as augmented reality (AR) to create more interactive and industry-relevant learning experiences.

Abstract

Classroom management plays a vital role in shaping the quality of learning, particularly in elementary education, where foundational skills are developed. This study aimed to examine the influence of classroom management on the learning quality of elementary school students in Boja District, Kendal Regency. A quantitative research method with a correlational design was employed, involving 200 elementary teachers selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires that measured classroom management across four dimensions and learning quality across four indicators. The findings revealed a strong positive correlation between classroom management and learning quality (r = 0.779, p < 0.01). Regression analysis revealed that classroom management has a significant predictive value for learning quality (B = 0.282), accounting for 60.6% of its variance. Among all components, time management was found to be the most influential aspect, while social interaction management showed the lowest effectiveness. These results underscore the importance of equipping teachers with both technical and interpersonal skills in classroom management.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital learning medium in the form of a flipbook-based e-book to enhance the understanding of unggah-ungguh—the levels of speech in the Javanese language—among tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Gebog Kudus. The research employed a development model adapted from Sugiyono, consisting of several stages: needs analysis, data collection, product design, expert validation, and product revision based on feedback. The validation results indicated that the Javanese unggah-ungguh flipbook-based e-book was feasible for use in learning, with positive evaluations in terms of content relevance, language clarity, visual design, and media usability. Moreover, the e-book was considered capable of increasing student interest in a topic that was previously seen as challenging and less engaging. The findings suggest that interactive digital learning media can serve as an innovative solution in Javanese language instruction, as they present materials in a more engaging and student-friendly manner, align with students' needs, and are compatible with technological advancements in today's educational landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of industrial work culture and productive teacher internship programs on the quality of education in public vocational high schools (SMK) in Kendal Regency. A quantitative approach, employing a survey method, was used to involve productive teachers from several selected schools through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression and the F-test to assess the significance of the independent variables' impact on educational quality. The results showed that industrial work culture had a significant effect, contributing 37.72% to educational quality, with innovation as the dominant dimension. The productive teacher internship program also had a significant impact, contributing 20.10%, mainly through supervision and industry support dimensions. Simultaneously, both variables accounted for 57.8% of the variation in educational quality, with the remainder influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings underscore the importance of integrating industrial work culture into the learning process and implementing well-structured teacher internship programs that align with industry needs. The results serve as a reference for formulating strategic policies to enhance the relevance of vocational education in meeting labour market demands.
